Skin's killing spree is terrifying. She has been killing Chosen and sinned souls with moderate ease.
Man-man had judged her to be quite strong as she has taken fight against many opponents all by herself and won. Her bloodlust and pain tolerance surpasses normality.
However, that killing spree takes a break when she notices something. It is another Chosen with its own killing terrifying killing spree. Right now, it is fight a sinned soul.
"Wait, is it a Chosen? it looks like one Chosen is riding another Chosen. and it isn't sexual at all. What a bummer."
But it doesn't look like a Chosen. It has a gold shine and it is much larger than a Chosen. But why is it fighting a sinned soul in such an armor? It is just making it slow. The sinned soul is much faster the weird half man and half horse guy.
Who could this thing be? Well, this is none other than [Unholy Knight]. A frozen blessing.
Weird that the mini-killing spree of this Knight wasn't made into a whole chapter of its own. Whoever writing this story isn't good with the pacing. Or maybe he doesn't want to write filler or something. So, he just gets to the business and bring the two together for the fight.
Let's forgive the author for being such a slacker.
"Nah, let's not forgive. We need to kill kill kill."
Skin runs towards the Knight. Her speed has increased much more than before. She has adapted to her environment and is still adapting and improving her skills.
She has been alive in hell for far too long and living here for too long helps a Chosen learn that you can never stop learning. Hell is divided in nonsensical places. Each is deadly than the last.
There is no most deadly place in hell as all places are equally deadly. But all places of hell are different and needs different skills to survive.
Skin has learnt many skills and she still learns everyday about how to move her body. Or She just focuses on how to kill and that is enough for her to survive in hell.
She is quite unique in that sense. Her desire to kill may exceed the normal amount. Well, there is no desire that is normal when it comes to killing but it doesn't really matter.
Skin reaches the Knight and it notices her too. The sinned soul that it was fighting has been killed and throw far away by knight's attack. Now it is out of its reach.
So, it focuses on her and accepts her as a major threat. Then throws its larger spear at Skin's direction. The throw is quite precise and seemed to be targeting her specifically.
Skin tries to moves faster but the spear changes its direction mid air as if it has its own will.
As it reaches Skin, she blocks it with her own weapon, Dicky. She uses her own weight and gravity to deflect the spear away from her. It takes a lot out of her and even breaks her polearm in half.
"Damn you."
After spear misses its target. It flies back to the knight for second round. But skin won't let that happen. She has understood the strength of that weapon and it is strong. If she gets hit by it then it would be her lose and then her death.
So, her usual 'Returning the opponent's hit with her own more deadly hit' technique won't work. She needs to survive the hit of her opponent to send her own attack.
This opponent is tough.
"This is going to be fun."
Skin moves quick and get close to it for a close proximity battle. Her Dicky has repaired and then she attacks with it. But the knight prevents any and all damage.
She dodges its terrifying swing of its spear and then continues her own onslaught of attack. There is no specific plan or time to make one. She is just going to try to bang her head on the wall and try to break.
But even that is difficult as the knight is as strong as Skin. But it is double her size and has a bigger weapon. It has the advantage of reach. It can attack her from far away and she has to get close to hit it with full force.
Skin predicts its attacking swing and she notices that it is quite machine like. The knights attack her inhumanely precise and deadly.
She can try to learn its battle style. She had nobody to teach her how to fight. She has learnt all of it on her own. If she can learn something she didn't know then she can learn something by watch.
But it is going to be a long game then. And she doesn't have the privilege to do so as any other Chosen or sinned soul could interrupt their battle.
But there is one strange thing about that. There are no corpses of Sinned souls here at all. This knight must be fighting them but she sees none. Maybe except for just one that it was fighting before Skin distracted it.
'That is odd…'
Skin lift herself up with the force of her opponent's swing. This is so she can reach up near the knight head and attack at its visor's hole.
She pieces her Polearm inside of it. But it does nothing to the knight. It is unphased and just pushes her away like a bug.
'Well, that clear up one thing. This thing isn't a group of Chosen hiding inside that weird armor and controlling it.'
She had thought that two Chosen can't control this big armor. Then she thought it has to be four Chosen or five inside the armor. But that theory of her was also wrong.
So, her only guess is that.
"It is a Sinned soul. A weird looking sinned soul."
She has never seen such a weird sinned soul. It even wears an armor and uses a weird weapon. It is keep getting strange.
Skin jumps back and to get some distance between them. But the knight doesn't want that and throws its spear at her. She runs towards the right side to get away from the spear.
But the spear changes its direction mid air and follow. Skin uses her weapon to throw at her opponents too. But her weapon never does that follow thing.
Dicky never listens to her and flies back to her hand. Why is this knight's weapon so special? Why is Dicky following the rules of physics while Knight's weapon isn't. That's not fair.
She manages to deflect the attack with her Dicky. Then the knight come forth to attack her again. She uses her spear to dodge the knight's attack. The attack in question is to open its entire upper human body and reveal thousands of sharp teeth.
"Hmm, that confirms that it isn't a Chosen at least."
The armor has opened and the spear returns to the knight.
Skin wouldn't question the anatomy or behavior of a sinned soul. She knows nothing about that. But that looked strange to her as if it is desperate to eat.
She knows bloodlust form desperation. She has killed many and each has shown her how someone shows their bloodlust and desperation in battle. A sinned soul isn't that different from them.
This thing eats its opponents. That's why she didn't saw any corpses near the knight and right now, it is trying to slowly but surely going near that sinned soul's corpse. It wants to go near it and eat it.
But unfortunately for Knight. Skin reaches the sinned soul's corpse first.
"Are you hungry? You want this, huh? Well, let's place a little game of tag then."
Skin pushes her polearm inside of the sinned soul's corpse and then carries it. She won't let it have what it wants. She is way to petty for that.
The knight observes her and then runs towards her with its upper body open wide revealing those sharp teeth. It probably has accepted her challenge then.
She needs time to plan something to break that gold color armor of this sinned soul.
