That night they returned to the neighborhood.
"I think that's it," Nathan said.
"Which one?" Ora asked looking around.
"The one with the truck parked in front. See the tree in the yard, just like in the post," Nathan held his phone to Ora.
As they walked to the house they heard muffled screaming. They turned to see three men carrying something wrapped in a bedsheet. One shone a flashlight to find their way in the dark while the other two moved the struggling sheet.
Nathan turned his attention towards the kidnapping.
"Hey, where are you going?" Mark whispered as they tiptoed towards the house.
Ora sucked her teeth and went after him and Mark followed. The kidnapper got into a car and drove just three houses away.
When Mark and Ora caught up to Nathan. He was spying on the kidnappers through a window.
The three men took the bedsheet and tied a little girl to a chair. Nathan was leaving when Ora grabbed him.
"Where are you going?" she asked.
"I am going to save her," Nathan replied.
"Wait, we don't know what is going on. We cannot interfere," Ora cautioned.
"They have a girl tied to a chair, what more do you want to know," Mark said and went with Nathan.
Ora continued to watch through the window. A woman descended the stairs.
"Mom help me," the child said to the woman.
"You are not my daughter," the woman said then suggested the men take her upstairs.
'Is that not the woman we spoke to today?' Ora thought as she watched.
Ora watched as Nathan and Mark approached them.
"Let the girl go," they commanded as the men carried her up the stairs. They stopped but the woman asked them to go. She stood between Nathan and the men.
Mark pulled out a gun and pointed it at the woman.
"Step aside," he said but two of the men carried the girl upstairs.
"It's okay Ben, go on ahead. I know them," the woman said as one of the men came to her aid.
"We remember you too. Is that Sara they are taking up there?" Nathan said.
Ora ran to the front door as the situation escalated. She barged in.
"Everyone calm down," she said and guided Mark's hands down.
Soon they heard Sara scream and they ran up the stairs. When they opened the door Sara was tied to the bed. The two men had Bibles that they read out loud.
Nathan and the others watched in awe as the restrained Sara levitated on top of the bed.
"Told you, she is not my daughter. She is possessed," Sara's mother said just before things started flying.
Mark and Nathan shielded themselves with their arms while the others ducked. After a while, Sara fell on the bed and everything in the air fell along with her.
The men undid her restraints.
"We exorcised the demon," the men said.
Sara looked around clueless. Her mother ran to her and hugged her.
"You are okay now," the mother said and helped her out of bed. As they were walking out Ora stood between them and the door.
"Mum, step aside that's not your daughter," she said to Sara's mother.
"It's fine, the demon is gone now," the woman clarified.
"That is not a demon you can exorcise," Ora said.
"Ora, what are you doing?" Nathan asked.
"That's the dark priest," Ora said and snatched Mark's gun and pointed it at Sara. The moment she saw the gun Sara held on tight to her mother.
Nathan stood between Ora and Sara.
