(Samuel's POV)
"I have to check in on someone." I said as Oneth released me from her hold, "She has been targeted by some low level Demon."
Oneth flicked her tongue, "A woman?" She asked, "Who is she? Hm?"
"She's just a woman that I helped out." I said with a serious frown, "That man I just killed? He was an assassin sent by a Demon known as Kurv."
"Kurv?" She said, "Never heard of him."
"Yea, he's a low-level gang leader." I said, "He has influence, though. He sent some assassins after this woman."
"Who cares?" She said, "We have orders from Queen Asothia, Samuel Grey. We are to make our way to the Grasslands."
"The Grasslands?" I asked
"A region south-west from Dreadwalk." She said, "There, we are to investigate this artifact. There's a Legion Commander who will give us more details."
"Hm....." I said, "But this whole thing with the-"
"Whoever this woman is, she doesn't matter." She scowled, "Queen Asothia's orders are absolute. Forget my desire to be fucked by you, I am a servant of Her Majesty first and foremost."
"She matters to me." I said, "Or at least her predicament. I have gotten her in more trouble than she was at first. I killed Kurv's men and got one arrested, he is going to target her. And it will be worse than before. They are willing to get her family involved."
"Tch, you don't listen, do you?" She asked as she pulled away, "You have to understand that you are not a Hero meant to serve these people. You are a weapon, the Promised Warrior! The Gun That Lays All To Ruin, that is what you told The Queen. Get your head out of your ass, Samuel."
"Tch..." I said, "You don't get to order me around, Oneth!"
"I carry Her Majesty's words, that is all that matters." She clutched my chin, "Above everything else, her word is Law!"
"What do we have here?" I heard a voice say
I turned to see about a dozen armored men that appeared out of nowhere, circling around us and readying their weapons. They wore black armor with green colors, the sigil of a twin-headed serpent was in the center.
"Huh?" I said as the group parted, making way for a tall Orc with long hair walk forwards, "Who the fuck?"
The Orc looked like a scholar, with a dark purple robe with gold trim, also a black and white cape draped over him. He also had large and round glasses, which were over his bright orange eyes. I could feel a real alteration in the air around him, as if I was sensing the great magic inside him.
He looked at me, fixing his glasses, "A Runepowder Firearm Mage and a....." He said, looking at Oneth, "This Serpent Demon looks quite familiar."
Oneth flicked her tongue, "Urug." She said, "The second most important Orc that I know of. What do you want, Dread Lord?"
"Ah, that annoying voice." the Orc said with a scoff, "I recognize it anywhere, it's the whore, Oneth."
She hissed, "Watch yourself."
"I may be the second most important Orc you may know." the Orc continued, "But down here, I am above Rok'gul. This is my district of the city, my word is law."
"Your word is Her Majesty's words." Oneth said with a bored expression, "Without her authority, you are nothing."
"Queen Asothia is above everything and everyone." Urug said, "And her word is indeed law. And with her words, she made me the Dread Lord, leaving me in charge of everything in my district of the capital. So I am above even a Demon Maid now, seeing that you are in my street. So tell me, what are you doing with this human?"
"That is my business." Oneth said, "And my business is Queen Asothia's business. So do yourself a favor and bugger off, Orc."
Urug fixed his glasses, "That's the thing." He said, "I cannot just do that. Who is this human you are meddling with, Oneth? And why does he wield Runepowder?"
"Ask me yourself, bud." I said, "I can speak."
"Very well." He said, looking at me, "Who are you and why do you wield a Runepowder Hand-Cannon?"
I spat on the ground, "Suck my balls, you fucker." I said, "I don't have to tell you anything."
He narrowed his eyes, "A rude one, hm?" He said as he raised his hand, "Interesting. In the name of Dreadwalk's safety, I will have to contain you myself. An outsider with runepowder means that the Duskrend Kingdom has its eyes on the capital. A terror attack is looming, so I will deal with the problem myself. As such is my duty."
"No." Oneth said, "Samuel Grey is the Promised Warrior."
"The what?" Urug said, "The Promised Warrior?"
He lowered his hand, looking at Oneth. Oneth was standing tall, her arms crossed as she looked at him.
"You heard me." Oneth said, "Do you think I would lie about that?"
"Her Majesty actually bought that silly prophecy?" Urug asked, "Hmph...."
"Well, silly or not, it is true." Oneth said, "Samuel is a Summoned One."
"Hm..." Urug said, "Is that why he is rich with Distortion? Amusing."
"If you are worried about a terror attack." Oneth said, "You best be on the lookout for this Kurv."
Urug narrowed his eyes, "Kurv?"
"A Demon who runs a gang." Oneth said, "Samuel here has killed several of his men who were targeting a woman. My guess is he won't like it and might prepare an attack."
Urug looked at me, "Is this true?"
I nodded, "Yea." I said, "Ask the man that's in your men's custody."
"Sammara!" Urug called
I watched as a woman stepped into view, "Yes, Lord Urug?"
"What do you about this?" Urug asked
"From what the prisoner states, they were sent by a gang leader known as Kurv." She said, handing him a piece of paper, "And they were targeting a restaurant owner, not too far from here. She has some history with Kurv."
"Hm...." Urug said as he looked at the paper, "Elena, huh? Oh. That woman."
I raised an eyebrow, "You know her?"
"Somewhat." Urug said, "I knew her husband."
"Deal with that while Samuel and I embark on our mission, Urug." Oneth said
"If you have a mission, why is he even here in the city?" Urug asked, "Staining my streets with blood, huh? If you weren't what she says you are, I would have you hanged by now."
"Ask your Queen." I said
"Hmph." He said, adjusting his glasses, "Very well. I will deal with this. Go on with your mission, Oneth."
"Good." Oneth looked at me, "Let's go, Samuel."
"We have a mission to complete."
