VIVIENNE's POV
''Ohhh…'' I whirled my head back as my body trembled, my hand still tight around Maddox shoulder.
His large hand wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer and keeping my body trapped against his towering frame.
My mind exploded and suddenly, I could barely hear or think about anything.
My body burned with heat as the space shrunk two times smaller, entirely consumed by the sound of our ragged, echoing breaths.
"She's burning up for us," Cassian growled, his deep voice vibrating right against my skin.
I barely heard a word he said.
A choked gasp escaped my lips as his large hands gripped my hips, lifting me entirely off my feet.
I didn't know when he made the switch with Maddox. But a sharp gasp bubbled in my throat as my fingers dug desperately into the shoulders of his robe for balance as he deposited me onto the edge of the bunker's steel map desk.
