"What is 'Abba'?"
"Abba is the Aramaic word for 'father'."
"Where'd you come from, Yeshua? I haven't seen you around this town for sure." I asked Yeshua while we were biking slowly. He smiled.
"I came from our Abba and our Abba has sent me."
"You keep saying 'our abba' but the last time I checked I have no brother." I said to Yeshua as I glanced at him and looked back at the road. Yeshua chuckled. What? What is he chuckling about now? "It is too early to tell you, Maria."
"But — for sure — you will keep on saying 'our abba', that's no doubt."
"Yes, indeed, I will." he replied, making me glance at him once more and saw him smiling while looking at me. "You know what, Yeshua. You do you. I've already dealt with much unusualness today and I've had enough for today. You don't want to tell me? Fine. I'm getting exhausted and I just want to lay in my bed right now." I rant. Yeshua sighed.
"Did you know that you were possessed by demons? That's why you felt all those feelings and thought all those thoughts ever since your parents began arguing about bills." Yeshua spoke. I stopped abruptly again and so did he. I was possessed? "Yes. You were. You have already been redeemed, and now, you are created anew."But I don't feel like I'm "anew".
"It's more than feeling, Maria. Feeling fades. And you won't transform into something new if you don't let it." Oh, right. He can read minds. I keep forgetting it. "Like a sheep." Yeshua said then he smiled widely. Oh-ho-ho this boy is having fun teasing me. "Let me correct you, Maria. I am not a 'boy'. Before you and all your ancestors, I am." I looked at him confused. Then a thought formed. "No way! You're ancient!"
"Not 'no way', it's 'Yah-Weh'. It's much better that way. You call for our Abba and praise that He always makes a way."I don't have any idea if it's a joke or a lesson but I am astonished! "Oh, so now you're astonished." said Yeshua while smiling. His smile never seems to fade away. "Of course it won't fade away. I've already found one of my sheep that went astray!"
"You keep calling me sheep! Seriously! What's with you and sheeps?!" I asked Yeshua irritably. "Sheeps are adorable and they are such sensitive beings, like you." I widened my eyes and opened my mouth a little bit because of the shock. "I am not sensitive!"
"Then please do me the honor of listening to your story of how you were possessed by those demons." My brows met each other because of his remark. "'Demons'? With an 's'? You mean, there's more of them who possessed me?" I asked. "Yes. Seven to be exact."
"Seven?"
"Too many, is it not?" asked Yeshua.
"I-it is." I answered, my eyes are still wide due to the shock.
"Wait. So those voices that I hear and speak to these past few months! Are they…?" I asked Yeshua as I looked at him.
"Yes. They are."
"Oh! Thank God I was not losing my mind!" I shouted with relief. "But I almost lost my life." I whispered as my relief changed into terrified.
