Chapter 11 - | Sign

After we finished eating our pancakes at the cafe, Yeshua and I rode our bikes once more. I just follow Him wherever He leads me. "Here we are!" Yeshua said excitedly as we stopped in front of the church of this town.

I stared at the church then looked at Yeshua. "You don't look excited," said Yeshua with a sad tone. I smiled at Him kind of forcefully then raised both my eyebrows. I go here with my family every Sunday, Yeshua."But this time you're with me." said Yeshua as He made His bike stand at the bike rack beside the church, and so I followed Him. He's not wrong. "He's never wrong." What? Who—?

"Such a sheep, already forgot that you talked with the Holy Ghost earlier." Yeshua said, then He chuckled. "It's the Holy Ghost talking to you. Do not be afraid." said Yeshua with a smile on His face while looking at me. I looked at Him unbelievably. "What? You don't think the Holy Spirit can talk, do you?" I shook my head as an answer. "Well, you won't hear the Holy Spirit if you don't listen carefully and allow us to enter your home." said Yeshua then walked towards the entrance of the church, "Wait, do You mean literally or metaphorically?" I followed quickly as He chuckled.

"I want to enlighten you here, Maria." Yeshua said as we are now walking side by side in the aisle.

We then sat down in the farthest back of the rows of seats. Yeshua is sitting beside the aisle and I am sitting on His left. I just looked at Him, waiting for Him to speak again. "Whenever you pray, you do the Sign of the Cross. What do you think? Or what do you remember because of it?" asked Yeshua. "Uhm…"

"It's okay, you can be honest with me."

"I-uh don't think about it much. I just do the sign of the cross because it is what I was taught how to begin and end praying ever since I was little." Yeshua smiled.

"Honesty is where growth begins. Thank you for being honest with me, Maria."

"The Sign of the Cross before and after prayer is a reminder of the love that sacrificed His own life for the salvation of many." Yeshua said as He stared at the front where the cross stood. I nodded. Yeshua then looked at me. "But I want to share this wisdom with you, Maria." I nodded again as I continued listening to Yeshua.

"The Sign of the Cross is our Abba's remembrance of one God with three persons. 'In the name of the Father', you touch your forehead as if our Father is giving you a forehead kiss as a sign of His love for His children."

"'And of the Son', you touch your stomach and it feels like tickling, right?" I nodded with a smile on my face. "Yes." I answered. "It's as if the Son of God is giving you a fun time as a reminder to live life with joy and laughter and smiles. While some touch their chest and it could feel like the Son of God is knocking in their hearts so that He can come in to protect it, nurture it, to give it love."

"'And of the Holy Spirit', you touch both your shoulders as if the Holy Spirit is giving you a tap on both your shoulders or holding them to give you support and courage or to hold you back from the foolishness that you may be about to act toward." I stared at Yeshua. I did not think of it that way. Yeshua smiled.

"The sign of the cross is not only the remembrance of the sacrifice, but also the remembrance of our Abba's love and the joy that the Son brings and His protection and the Holy Spirit's support and courage and so is the wisdom."

"Wow." the only word I utter. This is a revelation. At least for me it is.
