Cyndi's breath caught at the mention of ghosts. Her gasp was low but fleeting. Her eyes swiftly glanced around to make sure no one heard what Sonia just said. "What the fuvk are you spouting?"
Sonia raised a brow. "Spout? I'm just stating facts."
"I did nothing of such," Cyndi answered swiftly, forcing her voice to remain steady despite her heart trembling.
"Don't play mind games with me, Cyndi…I know more than you think," Sonia whispered, her voice firm and steely as she stared at her with cold intensity.
"What about I let the people know that for four years you were the other mistress in your friend's marriage and in the six months she stayed in the hospital you have always wanted her dead?"
Her voice toned down to a whisper, "And what happens when they discover you are the hand that sent her to the hospital…do you still think the Whyte family would still remain intact?"
