Salem and Amelia look at the television for a little while longer, as the person on the other side of the screen explains what is happening in the other side.
News Anchor: "We have just sighted The Burning Man after a long hiatus of no sighting of him."
The picture of Salem shrinks and moves into the top left corner of the screen.
News Anchor: "The Burning Man seems to be head into the direction of The Sounth Mall. So if you are lucky enough to catch a glimpse of The Burning Man consider yourself the luckiest person in the world."
Salem looks at Amelia, and Amelia the same.
They looks slightly surprised at the fact that they were caught, but then again it's not very surprising that Salem was caught. He's a burning person in the sky, who's not going to notice him.
Amelia walks over to Salem.
Amelia: "We should leave…"
Salem nods his head.
Salem: "Yeah… they may end up reviewing the footage of us in the…"
Salem mouth grows wide.
Salem: "We didn't check for cameras?!"
Salem has a silent, but still loud freak out.
Salem starts to pace back and forth, back and forth.
Salem: "What I'm I gonna do if people find me? What will happen if people find me?"
He continues pacing back and forth.
Amelia grabs his shoulders.
Amelia: "Salem… calm down…"
Amelia holds Salem for a second.
Amelia: "Take a deep breath and think… we came in from a heavily secluded area, no way they even saw us come in.."
Salem shakes his head.
Salem: "That's not a good reason to not worry? We can still be caught on camera?"
Amelia: "Yeah, I tried to help, it wasn't the best help I could give."
She takes her hand off of Salem's shoulders.
Amelia: "We should leave now regardless before crowds start to form."
Salem nods.
Salem: "Yeah, we should…"
Wonder: "What about the effigy? The whole reason we're here in the first place?"
Salem remembers his brother and has a nerve wracking feeling that washes over him.
Salem: "But crap I need that effigy…?"
Amelia looks at him like he's dumb.
Amelia: "What is more important than your social and maybe physical life?"
Salem fills a chest in his stomach begin to open, like he's to afraid to tell Amelia the details of why he's here.
Salem: "I need it for my brother."
Amelia scratches her head in confusion, her blonde hair splitting as she does so.
Amelia: "It's not like your brother is going to die if you don't get this small doll, statue thing?"
Salem: 'That's ironic because it may well be true. This giant lady thing will kill him.'
That's what Salem wants to say but, he's afraid that being to deep into this whole experience with him and monster or more Myths would be very, very dangerous for a regular person.
Salem: "I don't know Okay. Right now, I need that because of my brother."
Amelia looks at him with an unapproving look.
Amelia: "And what would happen if some place like Area 51 does exist and you don't have the capability to leave there?"
Salem scratches his head.
Then he tilts his head, surprised at the weird thing she just said.
Salem: "Area 51? Isn't that just like… folk lore?"
Amelia once again with the same look on her face.
Amelia: "Isn't that the same with giant burning men in the sky?"
Salem looks down in understanding because of what she said.
Salem: "That is true…"
Amelia: "So will you just decide that it's better to call it quits for today and head home..?"
Salem nods his head and Amelia, taking lead walks out the door, with Salem following right behind her.
At the front entrance a crowd begins to grow.
People with their phones in the air, smiling as they record themselves.
Crowd: "Today it was just confirmed that the burning man… Yes that same burning man is in the mall today! Let's go find him."
A woman in the crowd says in such a way that something about that one stuck out from the rest of the crowd that was doing the same thing.
Many others were doing the exact same thing, but with very slight variations.
Some had tripods out, some had small camcorders that would very likely just be sent out onto social media platforms instead of to news outlets.
Others had their phones out with a smile, as they pointed down onto themselves to records their face then put it infront of themselves to try and find The Burning Man.
Salem and Amelia saw the ever growing crowd and stopped in place, it was a massive crowd, with little to no way of getting through it together.
Salem: "How do we get past that?"
Amelia began to look around and take in the surrounding areas.
Salem did the same, taking in the surrounding just the same way Amelia did.
Amelia: "I don't think there is any other exit…"
Salem: "Yeah."
Salem and Amelia continue to look around.
Salem: "I think we're going to have to force our way through the crowd."
Amelia stops looking around to look at Salem.
Amelia: "Salem. Are you sure. What if we get separated?"
Salem turns to her.
Salem: "We could always just meet back at the place we came here from."
Amelia: "And if that place is full of people as well?"
Salem looks around once more.
Salem: "It's the best we can do as of right now."
Salem takes Amelia's hand into his and they begin walking toward the only known exit of the whole mall.
The crowd grows more and more, like an ant mound. Step after step more and more people seem to just arrive out of no where.
The first group of people envelops Salem and Amelia. They make their way through and it's okay. The people don't really separate them all that well.
Same looks back to Amelia.
Salem: "Don't let go don't really want to get separated right now."
Amelia nods and grips his hand tighter.
Salem and Amelia ignoring the fact they are holding hands.
Salem tries to guide his way through the crowd. At the start it seems pretty easy, but eventually the crowd becomes to much of a struggle to navigate through.
His hand grips Amelia's tighter.
Each step is a small one.
Salem bumps into someone.
A teen the same as him. Wearing a suit and a tie. Salem and him are about the same height.
The teen that he bumped into is Kai, but that's he doesn't know.
Salem ignores him and continues walking past the crowd.
Salem sees the exit getting closer to himself, all he has to do is weave past a few more people and he'll be out the door, that he came through about an hour ago.
Salem continued with his small steps but as the crowd began to thin he gripped his hand tighter and realized that he wasn't holding Amelia's hand no more.
He made his way out of the crowd first and turned immediately.
Salem: "Amelia!?"
He yelled, but his voice couldn't break through the noise of the large crowd.
Salem: "Amelia?!"
He called out once more but he couldn't get it out.
Amelia: "Salem…"
Salem heard his name come from inside the crowd.
He took a step and walked back into the crowd.
It was thinning out though.
People have dispersed out, looking through mall stores and what not, as they tried to find The Burning Man.
Amelia: "Salem…"
Amelia was calling out to him and Salem followed, eventually Salem saw Amelia, but she was being hassled by the same guy from before.
The White Guy: "Lady… your man ain't around. No more… let's go have some fun… and stop calling for him… it's annoying… soon the only name you'll be calling is mine."
The White guy smiles and shows his teeth. Some are missing most likely from his engagement with the tall dark guy that he slammed into.
Salem makes his way through the ever shrinking crowd and toward Amelia.
Salem breaks through the crowd and Amelia finally sees him and with a smile she waves him to herself.
Amelia: "Salem!"
The White Guy looks at her as she just moves right past him.
He grabs her arm and pulls her to himself.
The White Guy: "You need a guy that'll show you some love girl."
He smile and looks at Salem shaking his head.
The White Guy: "It ain't him, but me."
He smiles again his missing teeth in display.
Salem makes himself get closer to The White Guy.
Salem: "Let her go… she obviously doesn't want to go with you."
The White Guy: "You don't know that."
Amelia: "I don't want to go with you!"
Amelia said it so fast that she didn't give the other guy a second to think.
Salem rushed over and grabbed her other wrist and yanked her away from the guy.
Salem: "Let's go."
The guy runs up and stops in front of both of them before Salem and Amelia can get past.
The White guy: "Leaving so soon, why? Plus, she doesn't know what she's missing out on."
Amelia cringes, HARD.
Salem just looks him up and down.
Salem: "Man, she rejected you… way more than two times. Let it go."
The Guy looks at Salem and walks toward him, he stuffs his hand into his pockets and ruffles around the inside a little before he pulls out a knife from his pants.
The guy opens his mouth to try and say something, but another guy comes from no where and holds him back.
The other guy is dressed in a streetwear/formal fashion. Wearing a black suit, tie that's striped, down to his midriff and his baggy black slacks that stop and fluff at his ankles.
His hair is dyed white and he's taller than Salem, by a few inches.
White Guy: "Sebastian? What are you doing?"
Sebastian looked at The White Guy and gave him a slow shake of his head.
Sebastian: "Rick, I told you not to cause anymore truoble after you done got beat up by that other gigantic black guy, and you come to harass another lady?"
Sebastian looks at both Salem and Amelia.
Sebatian: "I'm sorry for my idiotic brother guys... He didn't mean whatever it is that he did say. I mean it."
Sebastian grabs Ricks shirt and begins to pull him away from both of them.
Sebastian: "You're lucky I didn't punch more teeth out."
Rick begins to walk with his head, held low.
Salem and Amelia give each other a look, then smile, then laugh.
Amelia: "I'm surprised that it was his brother that made him lose teeth and not the other guy."
Salem: "Yeah!"
They both laugh even harder.
And then they stop remembering that they have to get to the exit and leave.
Amelia is the first one to do so.
Amelia: "Okay, Salem. Lets go before we end up getting caught by a different crowd."
Salem nods and this time, with Amelia in front they both leave out the front entrance of the mall.
They go around to the say area they left from, peeking the corner before fully making their way there.
The area is clear, empty of anyone that can record them.
Salem becomes The Burning Man once more and holds out his hand for Amelia to grab, she does.
Pulling close to Salem once more she tucks her legs together as Salem ducks low and picks her off the ground.
Salem: "I'm going to fly again."
He reminds Amelia.
She nods back to him.
Amelia: "Go ahead. I feel like you should hurry since we are running out of time."
Salem gives one curt nod and blasts into the sky with a huge gust of wind.
