The flight to and from was not fully uneventful, but it was uninterrupted, because how is anyone going to stop a flaming dude in the sky.
Amelia and Salem land on the ground their feet planted, nice and soft.
Salem softly lets down Amelia.
Amelia follows Salems arms as she gets down.
Her feet going one at a time, her giant round glasses bounce on her face as she does.
Salem: "You think anyone saw us leave the place?"
Salem asked his voice jumping with curiosity.
Amelia shrugged her shoulders.
Amelia: "I don't know."
Salem: "And if someone does find us?"
Salem's voice is full of fear.
Amelia picks up her hands, hesitating for a second before she puts her hands on Salem's face, without feeling the heat on her hands.
Amelia: "Salem, both You and I will be fine. No one will find us, and No one will hurt us…"
Salem sees his fiery face in the reflection of Amelia's glasses.
Salem: "Yeah… I guess we'll be fine…"
The fire dissipated from his body and his brown face and messy hair is seen.
Salem and Amelia exchanged a look for a second, before Amelia felt her fingers no longer warm from the fire on his face.
Amelia retracted her hand instantly.
Amelia: "Sorry. I should have thought about that a little more."
Her face a little red from embarrassment of what she did.
Salem: "No… No it's fine."
Salem looks away from her gaze, Amelia does the same.
Salem looks up, he sees the sun beginning to drop behind the horizon, giving only a sliver of sunshine left for them to navigate back home.
Salem: "Should I walk you home? The sun's getting low."
Salem says as he brings his head back down to face Amelia.
Her round glasses look at turn up to look at Salem.
Amelia: "No I should be fine."
Amelia waves her hand in front of herself and shakes her head.
Salem: "Are you sure… I mean after dark it can get dangerous?"
Amelia: "I.. uh..?"
She stops to think.
Amelia: "I guess it'd be fine."
Salem: "O-Okay."
Salem and Amelia both walk in the same direction, side by side to each other as they pass the bleachers.
Salem: "I'll get the bags."
Salem crouches low and moves deeper under the bleachers to grab their bags.
He returns with both bags in his arms.
Giving Amelia hers, then strapping his to his shoulder.
Salem: "Should we go now?"
Amelia holds her hands out into a polite way to guide him before her.
Amelia: "After you."
Salem: "Aren't I supposed to guard you?"
Amelia stops to think, scratches her head then nods.
Amelia: "Guess you're right."
She then walks infront of him.
Salem follows closely after her.
They both go to the door of the school and try to open it, but the doors are locked.
Amelia turns toward Salem.
Amelia: "Guess we have to go around."
Salem nods, and around they go.
Salem and Amelia go around the school, under a hallway that cuts through the school, connecting one part of the building to another.
From there it's about another fifteen minute walk toward the main entrance of the school.
Amelia turns back every now and again to look up at Salem behind her.
Salem looks away from her everytime she does, embarrassed of seeing his face in Amelia's glasses.
Amelia only ever sees Salem looking up.
She turns her attention back forward.
Salem looks back down to her.
After a moment they are now at the entrance.
Amelia turns in a direction away from Salem's house and Salem pauses. His foot kicking up some dirt as he does so.
Amelia hears his feet stop and turns back.
Amelia: "You can go home. I'll be fine."
The sun's has gotten even lower beyond the horizon.
The sun now not even lighting up sidewalks but, the turned on streetlights.
Salem shakes his head.
Salem: "No I said I'd bring you home, so I'll do that."
Amelia smiles.
Amelia: "Thank you."
Salem then lightly jogs to catch up with Amelia.
Both Amelia and Salem continue on with their uneventful walk to Amelia's house, they pass many places, most not relevant like grocery stores, or gas stations, with climbing and lowering prices.
As well as passing people engaged in deep or otherwise unknown conversations.
Amelia and Salem on the other hand. They feel a sense of awkwardness between them. Both Salem and Amelia is having a first for themselves.
This is Salem's first time with him having to walk a girl home and he has never truly stayed with a woman this long before, excluding his mother.
Amelia has also never had the chance to be walked home, and with the fact that her mother doesn't know he's coming she'll probably be very surprised.
Amelia and Salem, both make it to Amelia's neighborhood, where some neighbors look at her in surprise of her having a friend over, others just ignore her.
Amelia continues as she stops under a streetlight in front of Salem and turns toward him.
Amelia: "I'll be fine from here on."
Amelia gives Salem a smile as she walks backwards facing Salem.
Salem: "Are you sure..? Are we close to your house?"
Salem says as he stands under one of the streetlights.
Amelia nods her head and continues to walk backward.
Amelia: "I'll be fine from her... Thank you Salem."
She continues walking backwards until she's two light poles away from Salem.
That's when she turns to walk forward and to her house.
Salem turns as well, Amelia turns back to see Salem walk away. As she turn back, Salem look toward her now.
Both of them just narrowly missing each others glance.
30 MinutesLater
Salem ends up at home, he passed the school faster than when he was walking with Amelia, seems she a slow walker.
Salem opens the front door to his house. No surprise that no one is home, usually Mickey is suppose to walk to our aunties house. Letting me just relax for the rest of the day, or getting ready for work.
Salem minds follows a silver string back to Amelia.
He didn't want to admit it, for a while, but he was stealing glances at Amelia. Not one's of lust, but of admiration.
Salem unhitched his bag from his shoulder, opened it, reached deep inside of it and pulled out a key for his front door.
Salem put the key into the lock and twisted it left, unlocking the door and letting himself inside his house.
Salem took a few steps in before he took off his shoes, then had the memories slowly creep back up.
Amelia, walking in front of him, like a little angel that was guided to him...?
Salem: 'What am I thinking?'
Salem thought sounded insane inside his head.
Salem: 'She's a strong beautiful woman? Why would she need to be guided to me. I should feel like I was guided to her. Why am I even.. Never mind.'
Salem feels a physical bashfulness climb up his spine.
Wonder: 'Something wrong happened here.'
Wonder calls for Salem in his thoughts.
Wonder: 'The energy feels weird in the house.'
Salem looks around and doesn't understand nor does he feel the disturbance that Wonder is feeling.
Salem: "What do you mean?"
Salem continues to look around, doing a few spins to get a full understanding of the environment as he makes his way deeper into the house, into the kitchen.
Wonder: 'It feels like something was here…'
Salem: "Who was in here?!"
Salem begins to get scared.
He turns around once more.
Wonder: 'I'm trying to figure it out.'
Salem sees a paper on the table.
He sees its folded, walks toward it and grabs it then opens it.
The handwriting was felt like it was bolded out to get my attention and not waste anytime whatsoever, with the waiting.
I have your brother. Hike the hill and give me your Soul!
Wonder: 'The lady has your brother.'
Salem's body ran extremely cold
