Vedant was confused. If he joined them, he knew there would be consequences. How would he get his father's permission?

"How long is that?" Ron asked.
"Two months," Vedant replied.
Now Vedant had to get his father's permission, and he knew it would be difficult. His father was strict and would punish him for the slightest mistake. However, his father had one weakness: academics. Vedant decided he would lie and say he was staying at a friend's house.

"She's fine," his father replied. "I'm coming to get you. Our flight is in four hours, so we have to go back now."
"Actually," Vedant said, "one of my friends named Ron lives here, and he has a mansion. If you don't mind, can I stay with him? I got his parents' permission, too."
"Erm? No," his father said.
"Pretty please? It's for my studies, too," Vedant pleaded.
It was hard, but he managed to get his father's permission. For the time being, he even convinced the woman he had met(ch 5) had to pretend to be Ron's mother. They all agreed to the plan
