Chapter 34 - chapter 32: someone took my title!

The blinding flash of a world-transition subsided, leaving behind the crisp, earthy scent of a dense forest.

I blinked against the sudden shift in lighting, my eyes adjusting to the foliage around me. But before I could even take in the scenery, three familiar figures caught my attention. Yukari, Ruby, and...

Wait.

"Wait! Why is Miku here?!" I blurted out, my voice echoing through the quiet woods.

"Oh, darling! I will never leave you!"

Before I could process her presence, Miku threw her arms around me, burying her face into my chest in a suffocatingly tight hug. As I struggled to breathe, my gaze shifted past her shoulder. Two more figures stood perfectly still nearby: Flandre and Remilia Scarlet.

Instantly, a strange, instinctual tug thrummed in the back of my mind. It was a familiar sensation the exact same mental link I shared with Yukari. I could control them.

Right on cue, a translucent, glowing blue holographic screen materialized in front of my eyes.

[ World: Hellsing (A little bit Abridged) ]

[ Mission: Roleplay as Flandre, Remilia, and Sakuya. Survive.

Reward: Reisen Udongein Inaba, Flandre Scarlet, Remilia Scarlet ]

A wry smile tugged at my lips. "So I must roleplay as Flandre and Remilia? That's easy enough."

"Who are you?" Ruby asked, tilting her head curiously as she looked between the two vampire sisters.

"I am Flandre!" Flandre piped up happily, giving a cheerful little wave.

"I am Remilia," Remilia countered smoothly, her posture shifting into that of a refined, haughty noblewoman.

With Miku still effectively acting as a human backpack, I turned my attention to the resident gap yokai. "Where are we?"

"Mhm... Let me check," Yukari murmured.

With a casual flick of her wrist, a dark, eye-lined tear in reality opened beside her. She peeked through the gap, peering around the local area before snapping it shut.

"So, we are in the UK," she reported.

"Oh, the UK! I have been there before!" Miku chimed in, still refusing to untangle herself from me.

I shot a pleading look toward to yukari. "Yukari, please."

Yukari's lips curled into a knowing, mischievous smirk. "Alright, Ruby and Miku. We have something to do, so if you please..."

She opened another boundary gap, the shadowy void swirling enticingly.

"Don't let her interfere please," I whispered to Yukari under my breath.

"I know," she murmured back with a wink.

As Ruby and Miku stepped toward the portal, Yukari subtly laced her power into the air, putting Miku into a deep, magical slumber. It would keep the pop idol safely asleep for as long as needed so she wouldn't accidentally derail the mission. Ruby, however, remained wide awake because she is cute and yukari needs someone to talk to.

"Good luck!" Ruby cheered, waving over her shoulder before stepping through the gap.

"Sakuya, here," Yukari said, tossing a sleek card toward me the Marisa card.

"Thanks," I replied, catching it deftly between my fingers before walking into the gap myself. When I stepped out, my roleplay script was already active.

"Now then... Mistress, it's time to go," I said, dropping into a flawless, elegant maid's bow.

"Let's go!" Flandre cheered.

But before the younger sister could take off into the air, Remilia reached out and firmly snatched her by the leg.

"No flying," Remilia commanded sternly.

Flandre pouted, but she quickly calmed down and dropped back to the forest floor. "Aw, okay."

"Let's go, Sakuya," Remilia said, adjusting her cap.

Together, the three of us began walking toward the outskirts of a nearby town.

Our quiet stroll didn't last long. As we navigated the foggy streets, the sharp, echoing crack of multiple gunshots shattered the night. Exchanging glances, we followed the chaotic noise until we stumbled upon a large, ominous hospital.

"I am going in, my lady," I said, bowing to Remilia before manifesting my Vampire Hunter form.

Inside the hospital.

"You have been chosen to reveal my existence to the world!" Father Alexander Anderson bellowed, his voice dripping with righteous fury. "You will witness what happens here today, and you will tell of it later. Except you won't... 'cuz I'll have killed ya! Hahahahahahahahahahahaha...!"

Standing across from him, a tall man in a crimson trench coat and a wide-brimmed hat sighed.

"Oh my! Brilliant speech. And unoriginal. That's totally from Boondock Saints," Alucard said dryly.

Anderson's face contorted in annoyance. "What? No, it isn't. I came up with it a week ago!"

"Whatever. We're here for the vampire," Alucard dismissed, gesturing vaguely.

"The only one left here is your sorry, pale arse," Anderson spat.

Nearby, a blonde vampire named Seras Victoria was being violently choked by one of Anderson's holy barriers. She gasped for air, looking desperately toward her master.

Alucard glanced at her casually. "Yeah, yeah, gimme a minute. So what do you want anyway? The nearest elementary school is at least 10 kilometers away."

"It is your corrupt acclaim! It is your evil that will be sought by me with every breath!" Anderson declared, raising his hands.

"*Boondock... Saints!*" Alucard mocked openly, letting out a dark chuckle. "Seriously, you must watch that movie religiously! Get it?"

Anderson's patience officially snapped. "Okay, you know what? Fuck it. Knife."

With terrifying speed, Anderson hurled a volley of blessed bayonets straight toward the Crimson Fucker. But before the silver blades could pierce Alucard's flesh, a blur of motion cut through the air.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

I materialized directly in front of Alucard, my hands a blur as I blocked every single bayonet, sending them clattering uselessly to the floor.

Alucard blinked, staring at my back. "Nice ass."

I completely ignored him, keeping my eyes locked on the mad priest ahead.

Anderson gripped another handful of bayonets, his eyes widening in fury as he stared at the intruder. "How the hell are you?!"

I pulled a row of gleaming silver knives from my sleeves, letting them rest expertly between my fingers.

"A vampire hunter," I replied coldly.

Anderson's eyes narrowed into slits as he took in my stance. "So, you're with the Protestant bastards..."
