On the Way… 😈
Kristen sat inside the carriage, staring out of the window with a troubled expression.
Kristen (thinking): "What should I do? 😤"
She had discovered that the books about Queen Elda were missing, the remaining book contained almost nothing, and the librarian refused to reveal anything useful.
Suddenly, the carriage passed through a village.
Kristen's eyes lit up.
Kristen: "LAURA! 🥰"
Laura: "Huh? 😶"
Kristen: "Why don't we conduct surveys today? 😏"
Laura stared at her suspiciously.
Laura: "Huh? Didn't we go yesterday? 😐"
Kristen: "Yep… but problems can happen anytime, right? 😎"
Laura grinned.
Laura: "Correct! You actually do have a brain cell! 😏"
Kristen: "SHUT UP! 😤"
After stopping the carriage, the sisters climbed down and entered the village.
Kristen: "You go that way, and I'll go this way. 😎"
Laura: "Okay! 😎"
The sisters separated.
Laura walked toward the market, wondering about her sister's unusual behaviour.
Laura (thinking): "What happened to her? Suddenly, she's acting all intelligent. Anyway, at least she's doing something useful. 😑"
Meanwhile, Kristen spotted several villagers standing near a small shop.
Villager 3: "Hello, Miss Kristen! 😊"
Villager 2: "You came here just yesterday, too, didn't you? 😊"
Kristen: "Huh… yes. I wanted to ask you something. 😕"
Villager 1: "Please ask! If we know the answer, we'll tell you! 😊"
Kristen leaned forward slightly.
Kristen: "Okay… do you know anything about Queen Elda? 😐"
The moment they heard the name, the villagers froze.
Their smiles disappeared.
Villager 4: "😱"
Kristen blinked in confusion.
Kristen: "What? Why are you looking so scared? 😕"
The fourth villager nervously glanced at the others before answering.
Villager 4 (trembling): "Miss… she's… a very cruel person! They say she killed her own child and the king's wife, then married the king and became queen! 😱"
Kristen's expression grew serious.
Kristen (thinking): "Killed her own child? What actually happened in that place? 😐"
Before she could ask another question, the second villager suddenly spoke.
Villager 2: "Miss… but we know someone who might know more! 😱"
Kristen immediately brightened.
Kristen: "You know? Then tell me quickly! I don't have time to waste! 😊"
Villager 3: "There's an old man in the temple. You can ask him. He might know something about Queen Elda. 😶"
Kristen: "Oh! Thank you! Bye! ☺️"
Without wasting another second, Kristen hurried away toward the temple.
The villagers watched her leave.
Villager 2: "Why was she asking about Queen Elda? 😕"
Villager 1: "Something isn't right. She vanished for three hours yesterday, and now she's suddenly asking about that woman. 😒"
Villager 4: "Wait… what if Queen Elda has been reincarnated? 😱"
Everyone went silent.
Unfortunately, a fifth villager sitting beneath a nearby tree had heard everything.

A sixth villager passing by overheard him.
Villager 6: "Huh?! Queen Elda is back?! 😨"

Within minutes, the rumour spread throughout the village.
At the market, people whispered about it. At the wells, women discussed it. Even shopkeepers abandoned their work to share the shocking news.
Villager: "QUEEN ELDA HAS BEEN REINCARNATED! 😱"
And just like that, Kristen's innocent investigation became the biggest rumour in Lupesia.
Meanwhile, Kristen continued walking toward the temple, completely unaware of the chaos she had accidentally started.
Kristen: "Finally… someone who might give me answers. 😎"
Little did she know that the entire kingdom might soon be searching for Queen Elda's reincarnation. 😈
