West Side of Lupesia — In Front of the Abandoned Building… 🏚️
After days of confusion, Kristen finally arrived at the western side of the kingdom.
Standing before an enormous abandoned building, she looked at it proudly.
Kristen: "Finally… I found you! 😎"
She approached the gate and pushed it gently.
To her surprise, it opened without resistance.
Kristen: "What the… the gate is open? 😶"
She cautiously stepped inside.
The building was dusty, silent, and covered in cobwebs. Yet, strangely, the place didn't look completely abandoned.
Kristen walked through the corridor until she reached an enormous room filled with bookshelves.
Her eyes widened.
Kristen: "WOW! 😱"
Books covered almost every wall. Some were stacked on tables, others lay scattered across the floor, and several shelves reached all the way to the ceiling.
Kristen: "She really likes reading! Half the books in Lupesia must be here! 😎"
She walked between the shelves, examining the titles.
Suddenly, she remembered why she had come.
Kristen: "Huh… right! I need to find that book! 😤"
She immediately began searching.
She checked the tables, opened several dusty books, and examined the shelves carefully.
Kristen: "Where is it? Where is the book that tells me how to find this place? 😑"
Suddenly, a strange whisper floated through the room.
Mysterious Voice (whispering): "Finally… you've come…"
Kristen froze.
Kristen: "What the… who's speaking? 😶"
She turned around, but nobody was there.
Mysterious Voice: "I've been waiting for you… So many years have passed… Please, ease my pain…"
Kristen's expression changed.
Kristen: "Huh?! WHAT IS THAT VOICE?! 😱"
She covered her ears.
Kristen: "STOP! MY EARS! 😤"
Unfortunately, while trying to escape the mysterious sound, she stepped backward and bumped directly into a gigantic bookshelf.
Kristen: "NOOOOO! 😶"
The entire bookshelf began tilting dangerously.
Kristen immediately stretched out her hand and used her magic to stop it from falling.
For one glorious second, she succeeded.
Unfortunately, the books didn't share her enthusiasm.
Hundreds of books tumbled off the shelves and landed directly on her head.
Kristen: "WHAT THE HECK?! 😭"
She disappeared beneath a mountain of books.
The mysterious voice suddenly became frantic.
Mysterious Voice: "Are you alright?! What happened?! Don't tell me… you didn't even notice me?!"
From beneath the books came an irritated groan.
Kristen: "AHHH! THIS NOISE AGAIN! 😤"
She pushed several books away and finally managed to sit up.
Kristen: "First, I come here looking for answers. Now, I'm being attacked by books! Is this a library or a battlefield?! 😭"
The mysterious voice fell silent.
Then, very quietly, it spoke again.
Mysterious Voice: "...You really can't hear me properly, can you?"
Kristen rubbed her forehead.
Kristen: "I CAN HEAR YOU! THAT'S THE PROBLEM! 😤"
Suddenly, a single book lifted itself gently from the floor.
It floated through the air toward her.
Kristen stopped complaining.
Her eyes followed the book as it approached.
Kristen: "...What is this? 😶"
The book stopped directly in front of her.
Kristen: "A floating book? Seriously? 😑"
She cautiously reached out and touched its cover.
The pages began turning by themselves.
Around her, the dusty library creaked, the curtains moved despite the closed windows, and several books slowly rose into the air.
Kristen stared at everything.
Kristen: "Okay… this place is definitely haunted. 😶"
The mysterious voice whispered once more.
Mysterious Voice: "Please… read me…"
Kristen swallowed nervously.
Kristen: "Fine! But if another bookshelf falls on me, I'm leaving! 😤"
And somewhere inside the haunted library, an ancient secret was finally preparing to reveal itself. 😈
