Brighter Than the Sun
The raised glyphs glowed with a pure white light.
All four Sobs froze.
Then they began whispering.
"Ex Luto..."
"Bad..."
"Bad..."
"This is bad..."
Luba wore a devilish smile.
This time, she no longer looked like she was playing around.
She positioned her spear behind her head.
Eídal didn't understand why, but the image she gave off was that of a delinquent carrying a baseball bat over his shoulder.
The difference was that the person holding the weapon wasn't some reckless street thug.
It was Luba.
And somehow, that made the sight considerably more frightening.
"So?"
"Ex Luto. Ex Luto. You who have been chained by my sin, accompany me into the mud."
The invitation was repeated.
Luba refused once again.
"Again with that? I already told you I'm not doing it."
"Ex Luto. No, she will not accompany us into the mud."
Repeating the prayer together, the Sobs dropped onto all fours.
