At the same time Pia began fighting the Fallen on the left, Adriano positioned himself between the two remaining Sobs.
The young man pulled a small coil of golden cord from his bag. He took one end and wrapped it around the fingers of his right hand.
""Mana Chains"," he whispered.
In an instant, the cord came alive.
Adriano moved his fingers, and the golden filament, gleaming beneath the sunlight, whipped between the Sobs. It coiled around their arms and legs, immobilizing them.
Adriano didn't stop there.
He moved his fingers once more, and the thin cords tightened.
The friction against their skin made the Sobs howl in pain.
"Hiii! It hurts! It hurts! It hurts!"
The shriek was so deafening that even Eídal clamped his hands tightly over his ears.
The golden cords trembled with every movement of the Fallen. Yet no matter how violently they struggled, the bindings refused to break.
Eídal stared at them from atop the rock.
"So that's Adriano's fighting style..."
