For one thing, there were only three people in the entire world who called him by his name: his tutor, Albert; Lorenz; and Ingrid herself. The other villagers had always limited themselves to calling him "boy." Moreover, he had never said his own name since being captured—not even to his master.
Only she could have called him Eídal.
"You know…" his master continued, raising one finger as he spoke. "I've heard that humans are in heat all year round. So I asked one of the pigs who works for me to impregnate her."
He glanced toward the door with an almost casual expression.
"By the way, they've been in there for quite some time. I wonder how much longer it could take."
