While Deo was falling into the earth's atmosphere and trying to hold off Zodia's death beam, he realized that if he were to land on the planet with that attack, the entire planet would be destroyed.
He managed to gather enough strength to push the attack somewhere else into space with a scream, it ended up destroying a cluster of stars hundreds of light years away from earth.
After Deo had done this, Zodia flew straight toward him while he was still falling into the earth's atmosphere.
He placed his hand on Deo's chest and called out,
"Soul manipulation"
A purple magic circle opened up on Deo's chest.
Knowing what was about to happen, Deo quickly sliced off Zodia's arm in order to prevent him from performing the technique that would have removed his soul.
Zodia grinned in an evil manner.
"Nice reaction timing"
He immediately kicked Deo straight down to Earth, sending him crashing back into the battlefield they had taken off from.
As Deo crash-landed, his nose bleeding from the kick dealt to him—
A massive beam flew straight toward him—
And exploded.
The explosion was so devastating that it wiped out everything across the continent of war.
As the smoke slowly cleared—
Deo's robotic suit began falling apart, burnt pieces breaking off his body.
Yet—
The saber in his hand still remained functional.
As he struggled to get up—
He heard clapping from within the smoke.
Zodia's voice followed.
"Nice light show kid, I couldn't have imagined anything as colourful as those attacks in my wildest dreams. Too bad tho, they weren't doing much to me."
Deo's eyes sharpened with rage.
He thought to himself,
"Did he just call my attacks a light show? Is he mocking me? He's done it now!"
Zodia, keeping his distance, spoke again,
"If there's any other trick you'll want to pull off, nows the time to use em coz I don't think you have much time."
Deo slowly stood up.
A smirk formed on his face.
"You're an arrogant one for sure. But that won't last long when I'm done with you."
Zodia tilted his head slightly, somewhat fascinated.
"Oh? You're a fisty one. Do you realize the position you're in right now?"
Deo responded calmly,
"Yeah I'm pretty beat up, but you've walked right into my trap!"
Suddenly—
Four chains made of energy burst out of the ground—
Wrapping tightly around Zodia's arms and legs.
Zodia looked slightly confused "Hm?".
At the same time—
Deo began charging an insane amount of energy into his saber.
Colorful aura sparked wildly around him, distorting the air and causing the weather itself to shift violently.
Deo smirked confidently.
"Those chains shut off any use of energy in the body. In other words, you wont be able to use energy while they're on."
Zodia, however, looked completely uninterested "Hm. I see.", he thought.
He thought to himself once again
"I'm pretty much tired right now, I just want this to be over."
Deo raised his saber.
Energy surged to its peak.
"Star Buster!"
He unleashed a massive beam of energy straight at Zodia.
As the attack approached, Zodia showed no reaction. No fear. No urgency. Only boredom.
To him—
Everything moved in slow motion.
Just before the attack made contact—
Zodia smirked, he muttered to himself "Haha. A boy that has the ability to turn his body into mechanical parts. Has strong amounts of energy, can go toe to toe with me in terms of swordsmanship, and can create chains that have the ability to disregard one's ability to use energy. Haha. Deo Lancer, you've amazed me.".
Zodia proceeded to call out "Still"
In an instant—Time stopped.
The beam shot at him by Deo froze mid-air.
The world went silent.
While time was frozen, Zodia effortlessly broke free from the chains.
He walked forward—And casually flicked his finger against the incoming attack.
Time resumed.
A massive, powerful, and colorful explosion erupted.
The explosion was so enormous that everyone across the planet could see it—
From the lightning country…
To the city of Raijin…
To the soldiers battling shadow puppets in distant cities…
Even other nations at war could see the sky light up from the blast. Soldiers from the city who were bloodied and bruised after using every ounce of energy and mechanical gear to fight were also amused by such light. "Wow. What is that?", one of them asked with surprise.
Deo was sent flying out of the smoke.
His robotic armor was severely burned "GHAAAH!"—
And so was his body.
Zodia walked towards him as the smoke cleared.
"Not going to lie, that was a pretty neat one. But even if it hit, it wouldn't have done anything to me. I was kind of using you as a test dummy to see how strong my full potentials were since it's been so long i used it, looks like i still got it. But I'm getting bored now, so let's end this.", he placed his hand on the left side of his head with one eye closed and the other one opened as it looked to the side "God I'm fucking tired", Zodia said with an almost annoyed look.
Zodia pointed his finger toward Deo.
Energy began gathering rapidly.
"Now be gone, you and this world!", he said coldly before shooting his beam at Deo. His attack was one capable of wiping out both Deo and the entire planet.
But then—
Something unexpected happened.
A red slash of energy cut through the attack, splitting it apart instantly.
Zodia was in complete awe, his eyes had widened with sudden confusion when it happened.
At the same time—
Two massive dragons made of purple lightning descended from the sky—
Crashing directly into Zodia.
The lightning struck relentlessly before finally fading away.
Zodia stood there, he was overwhelmed with frustration.
He growled in anger.
"For fuck sake, who could it be this time?!"
The smoke began to clear.
Zodia's eyes widened in disbelief.
Standing before him were Alex and Kazuki.
Alex, clad in a slim red and black armor, held a katana in his hand, his white hair glowing intensely.
Kazuki stood beside him, a new spirit mark shaped like a spiral glowing at the back of his wrist, his hair had transformed into pure purple lightning.
The moment Zodia saw them, his expression twisted in fury "What the hell.....! What the hell is going on?! How could these two be alive?!"
A massive surge of energy exploded from his body.
Zodia slowly rose into the air. His eyes glowing red while his arms were spread apart.
The God of Chaos and Destruction—
Was now completely fueled by anger.
