Chapter 10 - Trapped in the Shadows

The two men in black suits—Advanced.

Toward Feroz.Toward Mrs. Aliya.

Their expressions—Cold.Unfeeling.

Feroz's mind raced.Searching.Grasping for something—anything.

A plan.

But there was none.

No escape.

"Hand over the boy," one of the men said—His voice low.Menacing.

Mrs. Aliya stepped forward.

Calm.

Her hands raised—Not in fear.In control.

"I'm afraid I can't do that."

No hesitation.

The men didn't react. Not with surprise.

Because they expected this.

They took another step.

Closer.

And then—

Feroz saw it.

The glint of metal.

Weapons.

"Be careful," Mrs. Aliya warned—Her voice quieter now.But edged with something real.

"These men are dangerous."

Feroz didn't wait.

He ran.

Not back.Not toward safety.

The opposite direction.

A distraction.

A chance—For her to escape.

Footsteps followed.

Fast.Precise.

Behind him.

They were chasing him.

He didn't look back.

He couldn't.

Every ounce of his strength—Focused on one thing.

Running.

Faster.

Further.

Away.

For a moment—

It felt like it worked.

Like he had lost them.

But then—

A sound.

Sharp.Loud.

And pain—

Sudden.Burning.

In his side.

Feroz stumbled.

Fell.

The ground hit him hard.

Air left his lungs—In a broken gasp.

He tried to breathe.Failed.Tried again.

Then—

He looked up.

One of the men stood over him.

Still.

A gun—Pointed directly at his head.

"It's over, boy."

A sneer.

Cold.Certain.

Feroz closed his eyes.

This was it.

The end.

But then—

A noise.

Behind him.

Movement.

A shout—

Sharp.Fierce.

His eyes opened.

And what he saw—

Didn't make sense.

Mrs. Aliya.

Not standing back.Not helpless.

Fighting.

A sword in her hands—Moving with precision. With power.

The two men—Armed.Trained.

Yet struggling.

Against her.

Feroz stared.

The woman he had known his whole life—

Gentle.Quiet.

Now—

Something else entirely.

A fighter.

Skilled.Fearless.

Unstoppable.

He pushed himself up.

Pain still there—But ignored.

He ran toward her.

No hesitation now.

Together—

They fought.

Step by step.Strike by strike.

The attackers faltered.

Then—

Fell.

Silence followed.

Heavy.

Feroz and Mrs. Aliya stood still.

Breathing hard.

Their bodies—Covered in sweat.In blood.

Feroz looked at her.

Really looked.

For the first time—

He saw her differently.

Not just as she was.

But as who she truly was.

Respect.

Awe.

Something deeper—Settled inside him.

But even then—

Even in that moment—

He knew.

This wasn't over.

Not even close.

The men who came for him—

They were still out there.

Watching.Waiting.

And they wouldn't stop.

Not until they had what they came for.

Feroz's gift.

The danger—

Had only just begun.
