I put down my phone and went downstairs.I was really starving by now.I walked to the kitchen and opened the fridge...it was basically empty.I forgot to go shopping.There goes my good mood.My mom had the night shift today and I guess she didn't remember to get the things we needed before hand.So it's not entirely my fault.
I went to her room and took some cash.She always left money at home incase of emergencies..just like this one.I am not really sure of what I want to buy but I do know that I want anything that can fill me up.i picked up my phone and went to the nearest grocery store.
I picked a few things I needed.I went to the cereal section when I heard a voice.I turned to take a look at the person and I was shocked by who I saw.It was Aiden.He was with someone.His mom I guess.I immediately turned my face away from him.
I didn't want him to see me in this state.I was dressed casually,my hair was messy and I was putting on flip-flops.Or maybe it's because I was a bit pissed off by him.Not that I had any right to be.
"You stay here,I will go check the other aisle for it"I heard his mom say.
I just hope he didn't see me.
"Turning your head away doesn't really make you unrecognisable"I heard him say.Well I guess my request wasn't answered.
I pretended like I didn't hear him and continued shopping,only faster this time.
I heard him scoff followed by his footsteps.I guess he was done shopping.I let out a sigh of relief.I picked a few more things I needed and went home.When I got home,I made myself a quick meal and ate to my satisfaction.Just so you know,I am a foodie.
I went to my room and played with my phone,then a thought crossed my mind.
Does Aiden live around here?I mean he was dressed casually and he wouldn't go so far from home just to shop,would he?
A part of me wanted him to live around here but a tiny part didn't want him to.
I let out a sigh.I was really tired and bored so I picked up a book to read.
I opened my eyes.Everywhere was a bit darker than I remember.I guess I fell asleep.I picked up my phone and looked at the time.It is seven PM.
I have not done my assignments.And now I am really full of energy so I don't think I will be able to sleep again.
I took my bag, brought out my notebook and exercise book from it and started working on it.
The assignment was pretty much easy so it didn't take me much time to get it done.When I was done,I decided to watch a movie on Netflix.
I went downstairs to get some popcorn.That is one of the advantages of me doing the shopping.I get to shop for what I want.My mom is sort of against me eating sweet things.
I decided to watch stranger things.It is interesting but also tiring,to me.I was tired of watching it from the first season but I also want to know how it ended.
After a while,I was finally done with stranger things.It was a really good series.I'd recommend it to anyone but I certainly didn't like how it ended.
They left a lot of stories untold.They made us think eleven was alive with this dumb theory.
I decided to watch one more movie before sleeping.Another advantage of me being alone at home.
I opened my eyes and shut it back almost immediately.The sunlight penetrated deep into my eyes.My eyes finally adjusted to the light.
OMG!Everywhere is bright.I have school today.I must have slept off while watching the movie and forgot to set my alarm.I picked up my phone and checked the time.8:28.Classes start by eight.Which means my next class starts by 8:40.
I'm screwed.So screwed.How was I supposed to bathe,dress up,hitch a ride in just twelve minutes.I can't even cook anymore so I have to go to school hungry.Great!
I dashed to the bathroom and had my bathe.I couldn't wash my hair anymore and I could only hope my hair doesn't stink.
I picked the first dress my hands fell on and put it on.I put my lipgloss,mascara,and eyeliner in my bag.Sue me,but beauty is key.
I looked around to see if I wasn't forgetting anything.I didn't so I locked the door.Fortunately,I didn't have to wait long before I found a cab.If I didn't find one I would have had to walk fifteen minutes to the bus station.I looked at the time.8:48.
I finally arrived at school and rushed to my class.I opened the door, forcefully then I froze.The entire class had their eyes glued to me.I felt a particular gaze fixed on me and I met the owners gaze.It was Aiden.
There is something about how he looks at me.Nonchalantly but also amused.
"Miss young,would you like to explain to the whole class why you came late to school?"
Of course I wouldn't like that and he knew it.He fucking did.
"I woke up late"I muttered under my breath.
"Speak up.we can't hear you"
"I said I woke up late"I said, louder this time.
"So what was miss young doing? Watching a movie? Partying? Talking to her boyfriend all night long?"
The last question had the whole class laughing.They probably thought it was impossible for me to get a boyfriend.
Does all the teachers in the school have to be so harsh?
I didnt reply his question because I didn't know what to say.He didn't say anything more about it either.
"Your lab partner for the term would be Aiden so go sit next to him"
