There is no way I am partners with Aiden.Partnering meant we would spend extra time together,probably go to each others house and talk more.Although,Aiden doesn't seem like a person who would be interested in school work,he is probably just going to leave most of the work to me,which means we might not really spend time together,after all.
I nodded my head and told the teacher I understood.
I walked to my seat... beside Aiden and sat my ass down.
It felt like I was seating on coal,it was so uncomfortable sitting next to him.I could barely focus on what the teacher was saying and I guess he noticed because the next thing he said was
"Miss young would you like to repeat my last statement?"
I looked around and sure enough,the entire class had their eyes glued to me.
I could remember a bit of what he said,I just couldn't remember the entire thing.
I heard Aiden say 'electrolysis' next to me.Was that an hint?Then it clicked.
"You were explaining the topic electrolysis.And talking about the process of electrolysis."I said confidently.I would have to thank him later.
I guess the teacher still didn't think I was paying attention but he couldn't get me so he could only say
"I'm watching you miss young"
"You sure know how to draw attention to yourself,don't you?"Aiden said,mocking me.
He was right.I have always been the centre of attention,in a good way.But ever since I got into this school,it has always been for the worst reasons.
I ignored what he said and focused more on the class.I was really hungry now.
"Grrr".
That was my stomach by the way and it was so loud.Aiden was so near,I wonder if he heard my stomach grumble.
"Here".he muttered under his breath but I knew he was talking to me.
I looked at his hand to see what he was talking about and I saw him with a granola bar.
He was actually giving me a snack.And I could tell he felt uncomfortable, doing it.
I collected it from him.
"Thanks"I said in a low voice.I could feel butterflies in my belly right now.
"You don't have to thank me.I brought lots of snacks today and you were hungry.I couldn't let it go to waste."he said flatly.
Oh.So he didn't actually care.
I ignored the feeling in my heart and calmy tore the bar open.
I finished the bar in less than five minutes.I was really starving.I saw something move and I looked to see a sandwich and soda.Aiden put it on my table.
As much as I was hungry,I didn't feel comfortable eating his food.
"You don't have to worry about me.I can just get food during lunchtime."I refused.
"I'm not worried.Just eat it and stop blabbing"he said with annoyance evident in his voice.
I was angry by now.But I was more hungry than angry.So I angrily fed on his food.I don't care if he dies of hunger.I was just trying to show concern.
The class finally came to an end.I checked my schedule and went to my next class.Thankfully, Aiden was attending none of them.So there is an high chance I won't see him till lunch break.
The rest of class was fun.Probably because there was no Aiden to ruin it for me.
It's lunch time already and I could never have been happier.I grabbed my lunch and found an empty seat to sit on.I quietly ate my food with my head down.I could hear the noise and laughter from Aiden's group.Becky was there for sure,I could hear her annoying voice.
"You should take it easy on the food.It's not going to run away,okay?"
I lifted my eyes to see the owner of that sweet voice.His voice was hot and cute simultaneously.And his eyes had this jovial light in them.Like he was happy and free.And he was handsome too.But he isn't as good looking as Aiden.Why am I comparing Aiden with another guy.That's not a good sign.
"Helloooo.Earth to miss pretty"He said while waving his hands to grab my attention.
My face turned all shades of pink at that.I mean he called me pretty.
"You should sit down"I said,seeing he was still standing.
"Oh thanks.I thought you were never going to ask"
I laughed at that.He seemed really nice.He was better than that jerk Aiden.And even more handsome.Okay maybe not as handsome but he is not bad either.Arghh, I should really stop comparing guys to Aiden.Yes,'guys'.I have formed this habit of comparing random guys to Aiden.And to me, Aiden is way better and cooler.Except for the fact that he is a jerk.
"I didn't get your name"I said.
"I am Marius.And you are pretty,am I right?"
"Maybe,But that's not my name.I'm Eva."I said while giggling like a child.I should really get used to compliments.
"I actually know your name.I also attended the English class yesterday.You left quite the impression on us yesterday.Especially on Aiden.His eyes were on you the entire class.And they still are right now"
I instinctively lifted my gaze to meet Aiden's and sure enough,he was looking at me.I felt my heart flutter.And scared too.Scared because Aiden was staring daggers at me.Was he... jealous?No,I doubt that.He is Aiden.He doesn't lack girls.
"You are overthinking it.There is nothing between us and he is certainly not interested in me."I said firmly more to myself than to Marius.
"Um"he said.He didn't believe me.Hell,I don't believe myself either.
"Whatever"I said, rolling my eyes dramatically.
My eyes instinctively darted to Aiden's table.And I wish it didn't.Becky was now in his lap and she was feeding him from her mouth to HIS mouth.And his hands were squeezing her ass slightly.He didn't even notice I was staring at him.
