Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Haku: Case closed, this woman is a Servant!

Although he wasn't entirely sure what Tom meant, based on his abnormal behavior just now... oh, sorry, that's pretty normal for Tom.

In any case, Tom must have discovered something, very likely an enemy.

Haku looked in the direction Tom's tail was pointing and just happened to see the backs of two people with long white hair entering the arcade, a man and a woman.

"Are those two participants in the Holy Grail War? Nod if they are." Haku had only seen the backs of the two entering and hadn't had time to check for Command Spells on their hands before they disappeared from his sight. Helplessly, he had to lower his head and ask Tom, who was wrapped around his neck.

Both of them had silver hair. In Haku's memory, the Fourth Holy Grail War definitely did not have such a combination. Besides Irisviel, who was disguised as Saber's Master, there wasn't even anyone with silver hair.

And both of the people in front of him had silver hair, which already explained the problem well: they must be a new Servant-Master combination not from the original story.

Here, listening to Haku's question, Tom's brain suddenly crashed. Of these two people, only the man was, the woman didn't have that feeling. Should he nod or shake his head?

Ultimately, Tom chose the Indian way of nodding, which was to swing his head left and right like a large pendulum.

"...So I'll assume it is?" Looking at Tom shaking his head, Haku was silent for a long time, somewhat unable to hold back. Was it or wasn't it?

However, Haku still chose to believe that those two were participants in the Holy Grail War. After all, he clearly remembered that in the dark and brutal Fourth Holy Grail War, most people along the way had black hair, at most red or brown hair.

Then suddenly he encountered two people with long white hair. If there wasn't something wrong with that, Haku would do a handstand.

At the same time, Tom, his Servant, also reacted to it. With both factors combined, Haku wouldn't believe it if someone said these two weren't participants in the Holy Grail War.

"Let's go, let's take a look inside." Haku casually took off his jacket and held it in his right hand to cover the Command Spell on the back of his right hand, then cautiously followed them inside.

However, just as Haku arrived at the entrance, he was immediately stopped by a staff member.

The staff member pointed to a piece of paper posted on the door and said to Haku, "Sir, no cats are allowed inside."

"You mean this? This isn't a cat, it's just a doll. I won it from a lottery across the street. Look, it's quite elastic."

To make him believe, Haku pulled Tom's paw with his hand, stretching it out over a meter long. Obviously, this was something no normal creature on Earth could possibly do.

Tom also cooperated at this time. When Haku released Tom's paw, it slowly retracted like a wind-up toy. At the same time, Tom, with an evil expression, let out a laugh that no cat could possibly make, "Hoo hoo hahahaha ha!"

After his paw had fully retracted, Tom instantly feigned a blank expression again, as if he were a real doll.

"It really isn't... I'm very sorry, please come in." Seeing this, the staff member quickly stepped aside, allowing Haku to pass through normally.

"That store's claw machine can actually give out such a great doll! I'm going to get one after work!" After Haku went in, the staff member looked at the store across the street with fiery eyes, already determined to get that 'doll' he had just seen.

Upon entering the store, Haku immediately began to search for the two white-haired people. Obviously, two silver-haired people were truly easy to find; he didn't even need to deliberately search, and they entered Haku's field of vision.

After quietly approaching a bit, Haku pretended to watch others play games, then stealthily began to peek.

Although he was quite close, only about 5 meters away, he probably wouldn't be discovered. After all, he was just an ordinary person with no magic power on him, and even if those two noticed him looking at them, it probably wouldn't matter, because many people around were glancing in that direction.

The two, a man and a woman, both had silver hair, but their dressing styles were truly quite different.

The man wore clothes like a traveler, with a camera hanging around his neck, clearly a modern person. The woman wore a cool and indifferent outfit, pure white all over, and it was obvious she was uncomfortable with the noise of the arcade. Furthermore, there was no Command Spell on her right hand.

Haku quickly made a preliminary determination: the man should be the Master, and the woman was clearly that man's Servant.

Additionally, the man was wearing gloves on both hands, clearly to hide his Command Spells.

"Hmm? Red eyes?" Just as Haku was about to change positions, the woman seemed to turn her head and say something to the white-haired man. From Haku's angle, he could clearly see the female Servant's eyes.

"Red eyes... red eyes, let me think... maybe Tomoe Gozen? It feels a bit similar."

There are quite a few white-haired characters in Fate, but if you narrow it down to white hair and red eyes, there are very few. Besides Meili, Haku only knew of Tomoe Gozen. This couldn't possibly be Meili, could it? Her temperament was all wrong. After a quick confirmation, Haku quietly slipped out of the arcade.

If he wanted to hear what they were saying in such a noisy place, he would have to get closer, but then it would be even easier to be exposed.

In that case, being discovered would be more trouble than it was worth.

After wandering around for a while today, he found a Master and Servant pair. He couldn't say it was a huge profit, but he could definitely say it was a massive one.

Even if he had no other gains for the rest of the day, Haku was already satisfied.

"I'm telling you... this place is clearly very dangerous, isn't it?" Irisviel looked at Merlin, who was already engrossed in the game, feeling quite helpless.

Although she also wanted to play, it wasn't the right time. The Holy Grail War was about to begin after dark.

She had only heard Merlin say that he himself was useless except for surviving, and she thought he was just joking. But after seeing it with her own eyes in Fuyuki, she realized he wasn't lying. This person was truly unreliable.

"Don't worry, with me around, there will be no accidents. If there are enemies, I'll be the first to run away! Oh, right, I'll definitely take you with me."

Merlin finished speaking and continued to tempt her, "Come play~, it's very interesting."

"Guh~, alright then, but just one round." Irisviel swallowed, looked at the time on her left hand, and seeing that it was still early, decided to give it a try.

Soon, without realizing it, night fell.
