Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Haku: I have General Tom!

Looking at Tom and Haku flying in the air, seemingly silhouetted against the moon, all three were dumbfounded.

This moment seemed to stretch into eternity.

However, Tom and Haku only remained airborne for five seconds before beginning to plummet rapidly, as if completely disregarding the gravitational constant, falling towards the ground at an incredibly fast speed. Logically, such an acceleration shouldn't be possible in such a short time.

"Bang!!!!!!!"

With a deafening crash, it was as if the entire mountain began to shake, and the three people on the ground even had the illusion that they couldn't stand steady.

But in reality, this was just an illusion; only the camera, or rather the perspective, was shaking.

However, for Haku and Tom, the force of the impact was very real. A bottomless pit was smashed into the ground, and the outline of the deep pit was exactly the shape of Tom holding Haku.

"What… what's going on?" Looking at the deep pit in front of him, Waver was completely bewildered. He found that he understood the Holy Grail War less and less.

The two people who were about to fight on the side also looked at the deep pit. Alexander said uncertainly, "Probably… a Servant…?"

After a few seconds, a hand covered in blue fur reached out from the deep pit, grabbing the edge of the hole. The owner of this hand was Tom. At this moment, it was clinging to the edge of the pit with one hand, holding Haku with the other, trying to climb out of the deep pit with its two short legs.

"It's coming out…!" Looking at the hand, Waver couldn't help but swallow, shrinking back a little in fear.

Just its landing had created a power far exceeding Alexander's landing. He had personally felt it; the entire mountain seemed to tremble!

In stark contrast to Waver's cowardly state, Alexander, after a brief moment of bewilderment, immediately became highly spirited for battle, even eager to engage in combat.

However… when Tom actually crawled out of the deep pit, Alexander fell into brief contemplation again, "A cat?"

"The commotion just now was caused by this cat?!" Hephaestion, seeing this, also felt her brain burning. She had initially thought the man was the Servant, riding the cat… Well, although that thought was somewhat strange, it was at least much easier to accept than a cat holding a person.

But now it was clear that the cat had crawled out of the deep pit before the man, and even after crawling out, it was still trying to pull the man out. It was obvious who the Servant was… or so she thought.

She had seen it with her own eyes: the cat and the man fell from the sky together at supersonic speed, and judging by the shape of the pit, the cat and the person had impacted the ground horizontally together.

And after experiencing such a terrifying impact, let alone whether he was dead or not, she couldn't even see the slightest injury on the man!

She had some understanding of a Magus's resilience, so she was very clear that almost no Magus could survive impacting the ground at such an acceleration, let alone the man being completely unharmed!

That man… had some tricks up his sleeve!

"Phew~… Phew~… Holy crap… I'm still alive!" Haku sat on the ground, recalling what had just happened, his legs still weak.

Just now, at the moment of impact, Haku thought he was truly done for.

Fortunately, it seemed he hadn't sustained any injuries, all thanks to Tom being next to him. If it had been a normal person, let alone sitting here in fear, they would probably have become a puddle of matter on the ground.

No, ultimately, a normal person wouldn't accelerate to such an extent from a height of a few tens of meters, would they?

"Tom…"

Hearing Haku call its name, Tom was instantly startled, its trembling body clearly visible as lines in the air. It quickly put its hands behind its back, smiling awkwardly but politely, its eyes fixed on the ground, its body swaying along.

Seeing Tom's reaction, Haku didn't have the heart to scold it, "It's fine now."

Standing up, Haku's eyes met those of the three onlookers, and immediately, the atmosphere became tense.

Haku realized that he seemed to have… stumbled into a battle, then accidentally interrupted the two combatants, and then, by another accident, caused all eyes to focus on himself.

As a former haunted house employee, Haku was confident he wasn't socially anxious; he could even be considered half a social butterfly. But at this moment, under the gaze of the three, Haku found himself a little flustered.

Heaven help him, his original plan was just to quietly follow the lightning in the sky to peek, confirm the situation, and if the fight was particularly brutal, he would reap the benefits. If the battle was just a brief skirmish, he would simply slip away.

Now, however, he had become the center of attention.

Taking a deep breath, and disregarding his pride, Haku decisively hid behind Tom, beginning to observe the people present.

Although the appearances of the 2D and 3D worlds were different, Haku could still identify the identities of the people present through their clothing. First, these two, a man and a woman, were the Servants who were originally confronting each other, clearly the Young Emperor and Hephaestion.

And the short-haired man riding on the horse, trembling, was clearly Waver; his clothing was identical to the original work.

"To meet two legendary Heroic Spirits at the same time today, what a lucky day for me!" Saying this, Alexander looked at Haku's direction with fervor, and once again prepared for battle.

Seeing that Alexander seemed to want to fight the newly appeared, seemingly powerful Servant, Waver's forehead broke out in cold sweat, recalling the earth-shattering fall just now. He quickly tried to stop Alexander, "Hey, hey, hey! No way, at this point, you still want to fight?!"

"Of course, I came here to participate in the Holy Grail War."

In Alexander's view, compared to Hephaestion, who was reluctant to fight him, Haku, who flew from afar and forcefully intervened, was clearly a more suitable opponent for battle.

Moreover, that mountain-shaking fall earlier had truly excited Alexander.

Seeing that Alexander seemed to want to pick a fight, Haku didn't have time to think much and quickly told Tom to prepare for battle.

"Tom, go!!!"
