Chapter 7 - The President's Return: The White Moonlight 7

"good."

Although he didn't quite believe such childish talk, Fu Wang obediently closed his eyes and carefully counted them one by one.

"One, two, three... ten."

Fu Wang opened his eyes.

It was still that empty office, with files piled up on the desk.

He sighed and shook his head helplessly.

"Okay, I'll owe you the reward for now. I'll make it up to you when we get back."

As he spoke, he casually picked up the document he hadn't finished reading earlier, preparing to continue working.

"Knock knock knock." There was a sudden knock on the office door.

Fu Wang frowned in annoyance.

Didn't he say not to come to the office unless it's absolutely necessary? Who was it that was so reckless as to ignore his words?

"Enter."

Fu Wang tapped his knuckles on the table repeatedly, the sound of which was frighteningly deep.

The door was pushed open with a thud.

A small, cannonball-like figure came straight toward him.

Fu Wang instinctively tried to dodge, but after smelling the familiar scent of orange blossoms, he smiled and caught the little bomb, protecting her fluffy head with his large hand to prevent her from hitting the cold buttons on his chest.

"Why did Xiaoyu come over?" His voice was low, with a hint of barely perceptible surprise.

Zhu Yu looked up and affectionately rubbed her palm against his: "Because it's a reward for our exceptionally wonderful little Fu Wang. How about it, do you like this surprise?"

"I like it." Fu Wang hugged him even tighter. "I especially like it."

"I had already calculated that I would definitely arrive within ten counts, but someone in the elevator kept pestering me for their contact information. It made me so angry!"

Zhu Yu grumbled and snuggled in the man's arms, complaining. When she got excited, she even used her hands and feet to gesture.

"Is that so?" Fu Wang's eyes darkened, his face became inscrutable, and his tone carried a hint of danger. "Our company has produced a romantic."

"No, not at all."

Zhu Yu pressed her lips against Fu Wang's chest and said softly, "He's actually quite polite, but he's not very good at reading people's expressions. I had something urgent to do, and he blocked my way."

Fu Wang's eyes darkened further: "If it's not urgent, will Xiaoyu contact him?"

"Of course not," Zhu Yu blurted out.

Fu Wang's expression improved somewhat.

"Why?" he asked softly, stroking Zhu Yu's soft, long hair.

Zhu Yu replied matter-of-factly, "Of course it's because of you. Fu Wang treats me so well, it would be too immoral of me to go and flirt with other women."

Fu Wang lowered his eyes and could only see her fair and slender neck, a posture of complete trust and reliance.

He was silent for a moment, then suddenly leaned down and kissed that smooth skin, saying in a hoarse voice, "You're just trying to coax me."

Let's just keep coaxing him like this for the rest of our lives.

He enjoyed it immensely.

The two of them fooled around and acted silly for a while, and by the time they came to their senses, it was already sunset.

Fu Wang asked Zhu Yu why she suddenly appeared here.

Zhu Yu tugged at his cufflinks absently, saying, "I happened to have a business deal to discuss nearby, and I thought I'd drop by to see you. You called me right downstairs."

"What kind of cooperation?"

"It's a secret." Zhu Yu winked mischievously.

Fu Wang did not press the matter further.

Even if she doesn't tell him, he will find out for himself.

As a successful businessman, his greatest strength lies in managing risk effectively.

"Knock, knock, knock." The office door was knocked on again.

Zhu Yu suddenly scrambled up from Fu Wang's arms, smoothing out the wrinkles in her clothes, as if nothing had happened.

Fu Wang chuckled softly, earning a huge glare from Zhu Yu.

"Enter."

The door was pushed open a crack, and a head with an elaborate hairstyle popped in.

Song Jiayan poked his head out and grinned mischievously, "Did I disturb you?"

Fu Wang didn't even look up: "Excuse me, you can leave now."

"Hey, hey, hey, don't!"

Song Jiayan pushed open the door and entered the room, finding a seat with practiced ease.

"Yesterday you two were flirting and joking around like nobody else was around, and I had to clear the scene for you. Today you're turning your back on me."

"It's already all over the place on my way here. A mysterious beauty stormed the CEO's office. You two are really something else."

Zhu Yu: ...

Fu Wang: ...

The two of them made eye contact at the same time.

"Is his mouth always like this?" Zhu Yu asked softly.

"Yeah, I even got beaten up in junior high." Fu Wang shamelessly revealed his brother's embarrassing past.

Zhu Yu nodded knowingly: "It's hard not to get beaten up."

"really."

Song Jiayan: "Alright, you two, stop whispering here and go for a walk?"

He held a conspicuous car key in his hand and proudly waved it in the air.

Zhu Yu's eyes lit up: "A new car?"

"Are you coming or not?" Song Jiayan proudly raised his chin, looking smug.

"Let's go, let's go!"

Zhu Yu eagerly followed Song Jiayan out, as if she would be out of sight if she were even a moment late.

Fu Wang could only resign himself to his fate, grab his coat, and stride after him.

The three arrived at the underground parking lot, where a brand-new red sports car came into view.

Zhu Yu circled the car several times, her eyes filled with excitement: "Wow, so cool!"

She couldn't resist reaching out and touching the car body.

Song Jiayan was very pleased with the compliment: "Do you like it? It's yours."

"Really?" Zhu Yu's face lit up with joy.

Fu Wang: "Whose turn is it?"

That's so pretentious, so over-the-top.

Zhu Yu couldn't help but complain inwardly.

"Alright, you're a big shot." Song Jiayan chuckled awkwardly, opened the car door, and gestured with his chin toward the two of them: "Get in, I'll take you for a spin."

Zhu Yu reached out to open the passenger door, but Fu Wang reacted quickly, scooping her up and leading her to the back seat.

Looking at the two people sitting side by side in the back seat, Song Jiayan slapped the steering wheel in embarrassment and annoyance: "Wait, you two are my drivers?"

Fu Wang raised an eyebrow. "It's safer to sit in the back."

Zhu Yu glanced at Fu Wang sideways and quietly gave him a thumbs up.

He's a natural at showing off.

Fu Wang blinked, looking innocent, but a slight smile crept onto his lips as he naturally took Zhu Yu's hand in his palm.

Seeing the two of them acting as if no one else was around, Song Jiayan let out a miserable wail: "What can I do? I was born to be a workaholic—"

The car started without complaint, the engine roared to life, and the next second it shot out of the parking lot like an arrow.

Zhu Yu enjoyed the breeze for a while, but once the novelty wore off, she lazily leaned against Fu Wang's shoulder.

Fu Wang turned his head and looked at her drowsy expression.

Her hair was draped over his shoulders, with a few strands playfully sliding down to his chest, carrying a faint scent of shampoo.

"Are you sleepy?" Fu Wang asked in a low voice.

Zhu Yu's head bobbed up and down like a chick pecking at rice, clearly indicating that he couldn't hear what he was saying.

Fu Wang gently supported her head, adjusting her position to make Zhu Yu more comfortable.

He reached out and gently brushed the stray hairs behind her ear, his fingertips lingering briefly on her delicate skin, as if afraid of waking her, or as if reluctant to move away.

Seeing that her breathing gradually became long and even, Fu Wang withdrew his gaze.

"Speak, what do you want?" Fu Wang's eyes were deep, and there was no trace of the warmth he had shown earlier on his face. "Don't give me that nonsense about wanting to go for a drive."
