Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 7

c7: One Punch Turns Him into Ashes

Hearing Broly's words, Naruto instinctively thought he was trying to buy time for them to escape. Just as he was about to rush forward to stop him, Su Xiaoyou still panting heavily reached out and held him back.

"Naruto… trust Broly. He's very strong."

Naruto frowned, clearly unwilling to accept that.

"Even if he's strong, there's no way he can handle five enemies alone. I already said I'd protect him, I can't just stand here and watch him get hurt."

However, before Naruto could finish speaking and step forward, a terrifying surge of force suddenly erupted.

A powerful gust of wind blasted outward, as if an invisible shockwave had detonated in front of them. The pressure forced Naruto to stumble backward several steps, while a nearby trash can was blown away, crashing into the ground as garbage scattered everywhere.

When Naruto finally steadied himself and opened his eyes, the scene before him had already changed completely.

Broly stood calmly in the same spot, his small fist still slightly raised, faint smoke curling from it.

In front of him, the five parasites had vanished without a trace.

There were no intact bodies.

No remains.

Only fragments of debris and scorched marks on the ground, as if everything in that direction had been completely annihilated in an instant.

The parasites hadn't even had time to react let alone speak before being erased.

Broly lowered his fist and turned back toward them, his expression relaxed. A faint smile appeared on his face.

"Alright, it's taken care of."

He tilted his head slightly and asked casually,

"Big Brother Naruto, Sister Xiaoyou… where should we go next?"

Naruto: "…"

Su Xiaoyou: "…"

For a moment, both of them were completely speechless.

Although Su Xiaoyou already knew that Broly's strength far exceeded normal standards after all, he was a Saiyan with monstrous potential, even she couldn't help but subconsciously overlook it due to his appearance as a six-year-old child.

But now…

This wasn't just "strong."

This was overwhelming.

Defeating five parasites with a single punch without even giving them time to react was far beyond what she had imagined.

Naruto, on the other hand, stood there with his mouth slightly open, completely stunned.

It took him a few seconds to snap back to reality after hearing Broly call him.

"D-don't call me 'Big Brother'… I should be the one calling you that! This is way too much!"

Broly blinked slightly, then looked down at his own fist.

He could clearly feel that he hadn't used even a fraction of his full strength. Compared to the power surges described in his Saiyan instincts where battle power could reach levels capable of destroying entire cities or even planets this had been nothing more than a casual strike.

Yet even so, the result had been absolute destruction.

This made him quickly reassess the situation.

In a world like this, where enemies were limited to parasitic organisms with relatively low physical durability compared to high-tier fighters, his current strength placed him at the absolute top.

At the very least, he didn't need to worry about his own safety here.

Su Xiaoyou took a deep breath and steadied herself with her weapon, her body still trembling slightly from exhaustion.

"The commotion here was too big," she said seriously. "We need to leave immediately. If more people or more of those things show up, it'll get complicated."

Naruto nodded without hesitation.

Broly also agreed.

The three of them quickly left the area, disappearing into the night.

Not long after, the sound of sirens echoed through the street.

Police vehicles arrived one after another, and a large crowd began to gather nearby. Officers quickly sealed off the area with caution tape and began dispersing onlookers.

Inspector Tomita Yayoi stepped out of one of the patrol cars.

She calmly observed the scene, the scattered garbage, the cracked ground, and the remains that had been reduced to fragments. Despite the gruesome sight, her expression remained unchanged.

Following standard procedure, she waited as photographs were taken, evidence was collected, and the remains were carefully bagged and transported.

After everything was secured, she sat inside the patrol car, staring quietly at the bags containing the bodies.

Her face remained expressionless.

Then, something shifted.

A piece of skin on her left cheek suddenly peeled away slightly, twitching unnaturally. From beneath it, fine, sharp barbs began to emerge, wriggling faintly.

In the next moment, her entire head split open violently.

Like a grotesque flower blooming, multiple barbed tentacles extended outward, revealing the parasite hidden within.

At the same time, her colleagues standing nearby underwent the same transformation.

Their heads split open one after another, their human disguises discarded as they revealed their true forms.

Without hesitation, they turned toward the corpse bags.

The parasites began devouring the remains inside, consuming the flesh with disturbing efficiency.

Meanwhile, far away from the scene, Broly, Naruto, and Su Xiaoyou had already checked into a high-end hotel.

Su Xiaoyou was currently in the bathroom, taking a shower to wash away the dirt and fatigue from the battle.

In the living area, Broly and Naruto sat on the sofa, watching the television.

On the screen, a news reporter dressed in a formal suit spoke with a serious expression.

"Earlier tonight, on 13th Street in Kobe, six police officers on patrol were brutally killed by an unidentified assailant. The case is currently under investigation…"

Based on the evidence left at the scene, the news continued, the experts concluded that the assailant might have used an extremely high-impact destructive force, far beyond ordinary weapons.

"In the coming days, in order to apprehend the suspect as quickly as possible, citizens are advised to immediately contact the police if they encounter any suspicious individuals. Please also remain vigilant and avoid going out at night whenever possible.

Now, we will connect to Inspector Tomita Yayoi, who is currently in charge of this case…"

Broly sat quietly on the sofa, watching the broadcast. Combined with the memories from his previous life and the knowledge he had gained from reading the Parasyte manga, a faint sense of unease rose in his heart.

This world was far more dangerous than it appeared on the surface.

The parasites were not mindless monsters. On the contrary, they possessed extremely high intelligence, along with astonishing adaptability and learning ability.

More importantly, they were completely rational.

Cold, detached, and utterly devoid of human emotion.

To them, humans were nothing more than food.

Broly's gaze grew slightly sharper.

From what he remembered, as the story progressed, these parasites didn't simply hunt humans in the shadows. Instead, they began infiltrating human society, gradually climbing into positions of power.

By the later stages, some parasites had already entered the political sphere, even participating in high-level elections and blending into the human elite class.

This meant one thing, they weren't just predators.

They were evolving into rulers.

At the current stage, however, their numbers were still limited. They didn't yet have the capacity to dominate humanity outright or raise humans like livestock on a global scale.

So they chose a different approach.

Infiltration.

By quietly replacing key individuals within society, those who controlled resources, authority, and information they could manipulate the entire system from within.

It was a far more efficient and insidious method.

Thinking back to what had happened earlier, Broly's eyes narrowed slightly.

The six police officers they encountered…

Every single one of them had been a parasite.

That detail alone was deeply unsettling.

If it was just a coincidence, it would be one thing.

But if it wasn't…

Could it be that entire institutions like the police force had already been infiltrated?

If that were true, then the situation was far worse than it seemed.

The very people responsible for maintaining public safety would, in reality, be man-eating creatures hiding behind human faces.

Imagine calling the police for help only for the "rescuers" to view you as their next meal.

Broly's expression remained calm, but the thought itself was chilling.

He could almost picture it clearly:

A group of officers approaching with reassuring smiles and in the next second, their heads splitting open like grotesque flowers, revealing rows of teeth and writhing tentacles.

Welcoming you… as prey.

After thinking it through, Broly began to understand the deeper intention behind the mission.

Eliminate 200 parasites… and then leave immediately.

This wasn't just a random objective.

Killing that many parasites would inevitably attract massive attention from their kind.

At that point, the parasites would likely mobilize all their hidden forces within human society.

And once they realized an external threat existed, they might even manipulate humanity itself into becoming their weapon.

In other words…

Anyone carrying out this mission would effectively become an enemy of the entire world.

Military forces, advanced weaponry missiles, tanks, fighter jets could all be deployed against them.

In the worst-case scenario, even humanity's most destructive weapon… nuclear arms… might be used.

Thinking this far, a strange light flickered in Broly's eyes.

Instead of fear he felt excitement.

Saiyans were a warrior race.

The instinct to fight was engraved deep within their bloodline.

Even though Broly now possessed the memories and mindset of an ordinary person from another world, the Saiyan instincts within him were beginning to awaken.

The stronger the opponent…

The more intense the battle…

The more it stirred something within him.

The idea of facing an entire world, crushing every parasite, and completing the mission, It didn't intimidate him.

It intrigued him.

Especially for someone like him, whose latent power far surpassed ordinary Saiyans.

However, there was still a critical problem.

Broly frowned slightly as he considered it.

How could he distinguish parasites from normal humans?

Unlike in direct combat, these creatures could perfectly disguise themselves under normal circumstances.

He couldn't just attack every person he saw.

That wouldn't just be reckless, it would turn him into the very kind of monster he was trying to eliminate.
