Chapter 1 - The Night It All Changed

"The first rain of the year has come with darkness, but this darkness was the one that would bring light into her life."

"It is said that before every light comes a darkness, so that we can truly understand the brilliance of the light."

Lightning was striking, and it felt as if the world was about to drown in apocalypse, but her smile was such as if she herself was the destruction.

She stood still…yet a voice kept echoing in her ears—"Help… someone please save my child…"

"What kind of fate is this? So cruel…"

"Oh God… why would you write such a destiny?"

Hearing this, the faint smile on her face slowly disappeared…and in a cold voice, she said—

"Everyone knows… that one day, they all have to die."

"Then why do they shed so many tears for each other?"

"Humans… are truly foolish."

"They all call me fate…"

"Some call me cruel… others heartless.""

"But I am just fate…I have no existence beyond that."

"Yes… I do have a name."

A name whose meaning even God never explained to me."

She let out a faint smile and whispered—

"Nemesis."

"The force… created to become the cause of destruction."

Nemesis stepped out of her house, walking into the night…as she quietly said—

"Today was that child's last day…"

"Now, he must return… to where he came from."

"But his mother…"

"Saving her… is my duty."

"Because those people standing there, doing nothing but talking…none of them saved that child."

"And they won't be able to save that woman either."The fire had already swallowed the house.

Flames rose high into the night sky… but no firefighters had arrived yet.

"Help! Someone save my child!"

The woman screamed, her voice breaking…And then—

BOOM!

A deafening explosion shook everything.

The house collapsed in an instant… fire spreading even more violently.

"No… my child…!"

Her legs gave up as she tried to run inside.

The heat was unbearable… the flames were closing in…

Just as she was about to fall into the fire—

A shadow appeared.

Nemesis.

Before anyone could understand what happened, the woman lost consciousness.

Nemesis looked at the burning house, her eyes calm… almost emotionless.

"Take them to the hospital," she said coldly.

"Call an ambulance."

People froze for a moment… then suddenly rushed into action.

And just like that—

Nemesis disappeared into the night.

But one question remained in everyone's mind…

What exactly changed that night?

Every news channel had only one name on repeat—

Adrian.

"The sole survivor of the tragic airplane crash…"

"A miracle… or something beyond explanation?"

Reporters flooded the screens, their voices overlapping—

"Mr. Adrian, a renowned businessman, has somehow survived the حادثہ that took hundreds of lives."

"No other survivors have been found."

"How is it even possible?"

His face appeared on every screen… calm, yet unreadable.

A man who should have died…but didn't.

People called it luck.

Some called it a miracle.

But deep down… it didn't feel normal.

Nemesis stepped inside her house… the silence following her like a shadow.

She turned on the TV—

And every channel showed the same face.

Adrian.

"The only survivor of the plane crash…"

Her eyes froze on the screen.

"…Impossible."

Her voice was low… but sharp.

"There were no survivors in that crash."

For the first time—

A crack appeared in her calm expression.

She walked closer, her gaze fixed… unblinking.

"Can a human… really change their fate?"

The thought lingered in the air.

"No… humans are weak."

She whispered it… as if convincing herself.

But something felt wrong.

Something she couldn't ignore.

Her fingers slowly curled into a fist.

"…I need to find out."

"Can a human… truly fall in love with their own cursed fate?"
