Why do you two seem so familiar with each other?

He guessed that the twins had done it more than once.

"So?" Fred asked in a cacophony of encouragement. "How's it going? Want to join us?"

  Morris didn't hesitate for long.

"Of course," he said, "when to act?"

Although he wasn't in a rush, he wanted to get the Water of Life and Death as soon as possible if he could—even if it would violate school rules.

"Very good, we accept you as our comrade, Morris." Fred looked satisfied.

"Me too." George nodded as well.

Both of them simultaneously wore expressions of triumph.

Morris felt that he didn't actually need that kind of approval.

After a brief discussion, the three decided to conduct their first site visit at midnight tonight, with the actual action to be planned for the upcoming Halloween dinner.

At the dinner, all the professors and students would gather in the hall, and Snape was no exception.

That was the perfect time for them to make their move.

"Oh, one more thing," Fred said. "You probably haven't learned the Disillusionment Charm."

"I've already learned it," Morris denied.

The twins raised their eyebrows simultaneously, a hint of surprise flashing in their eyes.

"Really?" Fred looked Morris up and down. "He learned the Disillusionment Charm in first grade?"

While the Disillusionment Charm isn't a particularly difficult spell, it's not something you can easily master either.

Morris immediately demonstrated his Disillusionment spell.

As he waved his wand, his figure gradually faded away, leaving only a slightly distorted wisp of air.

  Fred whistled.

"Although not very skilled, it's passable," he commented. "It's enough to fool Filch and his cat."

Morris lifted the spell, and his form reappeared.

  "That's enough," he said casually.

He hadn't practiced the spell in depth; he barely knew the incantation.

As a form of magic that conceals one's presence, the Shadow Magic is more useful at night.

  ...

Chapter 49 I think I've discovered something incredible.

When the hour hand of the clock on the wall pointed to "twelve," Maurice put on his robe and left the dormitory.

The lounge and corridor were deserted, with only the sound of his own footsteps echoing in the air.

He had deliberately slowed his pace, but in the silence, the sound of each step was exceptionally clear.

Upon reaching the first floor of the marble staircase, Maurice stopped, leaned against the wall, and waited silently.

He had arranged to meet the Weasley twins here.

Nearly three minutes passed, and there was still no movement around.

Morris frowned slightly and called out to the air in front of him, "Fred?"

As soon as he finished speaking, several ripples slowly appeared in the air.

Fred and George's figures slowly appeared.

"You found us?" Fred couldn't help but ask.

"Just a guess." Morris shook his head. "Speaking of which, your Disillusionment Charm is much more powerful than mine."

He had no idea when the brothers had walked up to him.

Hearing Morris's praise, Fred raised his eyebrows smugly. "How do you think we manage to sneak out at night without getting caught by the professor? By luck?"

"But you were just punished recently," Morris reminded him. "You had to clean the toilets for two whole days."

"That's all because Fred didn't keep an eye on the live targets—"

  George got elbowed by Fred.

His words trailed off, and he awkwardly touched his waist.

"What's the point of living?" Morris asked astutely.

"Don't worry about it," Fred said vaguely. "It was just an accident."

Morris wisely refrained from asking further questions; it was probably a little secret between the twins.

He waved to the two of them and took the first step. "Let's go, we'll take this road. At this time, Filch should still be patrolling the Astronomical Tower."

Fred and George exchanged a strange look as they watched Maurice swagger ahead and lead the way.

Why... does Morris seem more skilled than them?

The three of them successfully made their way to the underground level and stopped at the door of the Potions classroom.

The entrance to Hogwarts' potion-making supplies storehouse is inside the classroom, next to Snape's office.

Meanwhile, Snape might still be lingering in his office.

  They must be extremely careful.

"Let's go in and check the situation first," Fred instructed Morris. "Don't worry about us. If anyone comes to patrol here, just run for your own life."

  Morris nodded.

Fred and George cast the Disillusionment Charm again, and their figures gradually faded away.

The door silently slid open a crack, then quickly closed again.

Maurice was the only one left in the corridor.

  Time passed slowly in silence.

Five minutes later, Morris yawned softly—he was a little sleepy.

What exactly did the twins do inside?

  It took so long!

  "Click".

The door opened, and two almost transparent silhouettes emerged from within.

  Fred and George reappear.

"Snape is still in his office," Fred said first, "and he doesn't seem to be leaving early tonight. We listened through the crack in the door for a while, and he must be grading papers."

George concluded, "If we want to get into the warehouse, we'll have to wait until Halloween."

Morris nodded, not feeling any regret.

I'm just here to scout out the location.

"Then I'll head back now," he gestured to the two of them, "See you tomorrow morning."

Perhaps I can still make it to the restricted book section for a quick visit.

However, Fred grabbed him and said, "Don't rush, Maurice. Since you're already here, stay with us a little longer."

  Morris had a bad feeling.

  Where are we going?

"Don't ask any more questions," Fred laughed. "Just come with us."

So, Morris was forcibly dragged back to the marble staircase.

They stopped in a corridor on the fourth floor.

Bathed in moonlight, the place appeared exceptionally quiet, and the air seemed even colder than elsewhere.

Morris was taken aback. "Isn't this the place that Headmaster Dumbledore said was off-limits to?"

"Exactly!" Fred snapped his fingers and said excitedly, "Last time George and I didn't find the secret hidden here, but this time it's different, we'll succeed!"

George chimed in enthusiastically, "Ready for an adventure, Morris?"

  "...I'm going back now."

Morris turned and left without the slightest hesitation.

He's not that free to waste time here with the twins.

He won't force himself to participate in things he's not interested in.

It's better to go to the library.

The twins clearly hadn't expected Maurice to refuse so decisively.

Fred reacted quickly, grabbing the back of his robe. "Wait! Don't jump to conclusions so fast."
