Nami's POV
The Sunny dock with a satisfying THUMP that I always enjoy, as it means new adventure, new opportunities.... and new trouble. Luffy is gone ALREADY. Every. Single. Island. I sigh deeply, rubbing my temples as i turn to face the others, already I feel the trouble we will be in.
"Alright... Someone find and make sure Luffy doesn't cause a international incident, find Zoro before he wanders to another archipelago." I say, noticing Zoro is also gone. This is turning out to be a GREAT start to what was supposed to be a simple resupply. God help me now.
A few minutes later, we all disembark and split off, some for shopping and others for other stuff, but right now, I don't care what they would be doing because I smell the market. And money. And opportunity. This was my relaxation and I am going to ignore whatever chaos that is inevitable for as long as I can.
First, I go to a jewelry stall and buy a bracelet, that I haggled from 7500 beri to 1500, then I went and bought a nice scarf for 70 beri less than its original 120.
Then I go to a clothes store and see some nice dresses which I grab a few, just to try, I'll likely never wear it unfortunately so its just trying some stuff. Once I have all the ones I want to try, I go and try them on. Some of them are as pretty as I thought they would be, and others not as much but I decide, just because I can, I will get one and I take the dark blue one, its simple but elegant.
As I head out of the dressing room with my selection, I notice a beautiful woman with short brown hair and a sword at her hip, holding a red dress that I bet probably looks gorgeous on her as she waits for someone. She notices me too and smirks slightly. "Good choice. I bet that looks good on you." she says and I blink, processing then blush "oh, um thanks. That one you have is nice too." I say trying to not sound awkward. "What's your name?" I ask, more casually, well I hope it is. The woman's smirk widens "I'm Gigi, your new bodyguard." She says casually with a wide amused smirk. "EHHH?? Bodyguard? Whattt????" I ask, confused and surprised. She shrugs in response "Someone out there paid real well to make sure you don't get hurt so here I am." she says and pushes off the wall, "Well then, shall we?" I blink, still processing but nod slowly, "Sure, yeah." I say and we buy our clothes and head out, exploring the market.
We explore the market and buy some navigation stuff, more clothes, snacks and so on. We eventually stop for lunch and Gigi smirks at me after we place our order. "So...." I start, "how long will you be doing this... protecting me?", "Mmm, so eager to get rid of me." she says smirking and I blush "what no- I mean kinda-" I say trying to figure out a answer and her smirk widens and she leans back. "They didn't give me an end date." she states and I panic a little, "wait, what?? How long will you do it? Forever?" I ask while trying to hide my slight concern. "Got a problem with that princess?" she asks and i blush "No! Maybe?" I say and she laughs "Relax, I'll leave you at the next island probably" She says and my frown deepens "Probably?!" I ask and she continues to have that amused smirk "Yeah or til I end up protecting you from something." she says shrugging. "So... this isn't a elaborate prank or something to.." I say but get cut off, "To what? kidnap you? kill you? Sneak onto your ship? Spend time with you?" she lists off "I would've done any or all of those by now if I wanted. Especially the last one" she says, saying the last part suggestively while raising her eyebrow playfully enough to trigger my imagination and I blush but also realize the truth to her words. "Are you flirting with me??" I ask incredulous and also amused. "Dont flatter yourself too much babe, I only speak truth." she says and I laugh slightly "Your not very professional." I say, playfully accusing her "Well we have a while together, might as well enjoy it." she says shrugging innocently and I smirk now. "Your confident." I say and she leans back smugly smirking, "I am, what you gonna do?" she asks and I smirk back "I guess we'll find out."
Oh, today is going to be a good day.
