Robin's POV [Earlier that day]
We arrived at Izuko isles at about 9:26 AM and docked an hour later. I watched as Luffy flew off with Zoro wandering after him as soon as the gangplank went down. Then Zoro turned left and disappeared down an alley, more than likely, lost beyond mortal reason or logic.
I have tried to make an algorithm in collaboration with Franky for Zoro's movement but it was so erratic and completely unrealistic distance in a absurdly short time. His velocity was off the charts if you measure the distance he walked in the time he took.
Oh, I'm getting distracted again. I really do need to work on the Zoro thing but, for now, one problem at a time. First, I should collect some more information, I have, of course done my research on this archipelago. The World Government keeps some tabs on this island, doing covert operations here as its a "Safe haven" for those with a bounty. In reality, its a bounty hunter hotspot under Government watch.
Ideally, I should verify my current info, gather more and report to Nami before she has an aneurysm or murders someone or that forehead vein finally pops. With Luffy and Zoro gone, I already see it bulging so I'm on the clock.
Time to get to work.
At 10:53, the rest of us disembark the Sunny, I comfort Nami by telling her my plan which has helped and I think she will take my advice and go shopping and let us handle the chaos until shes needed.
I honestly feel a little bad for Nami. She is the only one on the crew who acts like an adult, sacrificing happiness and sanity to keep the rest of us going. I try to help best I can and reduce her work of course, but Luffy is high maintenance and so is his crew (ahem, Zoro).
Following through with my earlier plan to verify my information, I go to my favorite place in quite honestly, any civilization; the library. I ask around, borrow some local history books, ask more questions and soon I have a good enough report to lift Nami's burden slightly. Now, to begin the other problems, I told Sanji to be on the lookout for Luffy since he will more than likely be in that area, Sanji not reporting could mean he hasn't seen anything or Luffy has created a international incident. Again. As I walk out of the library I don't hear the sounds of immediate chaos so I take that as a good omen. Just in case, I call Sanji up anyway.
"Sanji, have you seen him yet?" I ask once he picks up. "Not yet Robin chwan, quite honestly that worries me more." he says, slight worry in his voice mixed with some exasperation. "Well, lets hope he hasn't caused a incident or got snatched by the government." I say and I can hear him scream on the other end. I smile slightly "SNATCHED BY THE GOVERNMENT??" he screams and I laugh softly. "I'm kidding. Mostly. Be careful Sanji." I say and I can hear him panicking and trying to compose himself to not cause a seen, probably panicking. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that. But quite frankly, his reaction was hilarious.
To the next problem, I have no idea where Zoro is, and now that he left his den den on his dresser so its unlikely anyone will see him til A) we get in a fight or B) we are about to leave. Hopefully I can find Nami soon and report the good news before things do happen.
I hurry through the market searching for her and finally spot her... at a cafe with a rather pretty woman with short, dark brown hair and a sword, one that catches my interest, black and I can see an ever faint blue glow coming from within the sheath. Interesting, I do wonder what this story is, because Nami looks genuinely happy, or close enough. I sit at a table at a nearby table, continuing to watch the interaction intrigued.
I look up when I hear a voice, "Curious isn't it. As a writer myself I can only imagine the story from their interactions and gestures." a woman's voice says. I look and see a gorgeous woman with long sky blue hair, white loose top, round sunglasses and touristy hat with a white katana resting next to her chair. She sees that I notice her and her smirk grows "You sat at my table." she explains "Oh, I'm sorry" I apologize and start to get up, feeling embarrassed that I didn't see her. "no, no, sit, sit, we have a good view of those two you were watching from here. I just got up to put my order, that's all." she says with a smile. I smile back awkwardly, "Oh, thank you I suppose." I say, sitting back down. "You know them?" she asks. I nod, deciding how much to share. "The orange haired one, shes my friend." I explain. "She's pretty." the woman states also watching them. "I'm Reina by the way," she says introducing herself, I glance at her and smile and take her hand "Robin, nice to officially meet you. You have a pretty name." I say and she smiles, blushing slightly, "Oh, thank you, you too" she says and I cant help but laugh softly, she's cute when she blushes like that. We both turn back to watch Nami and the girl. They seem very engrossed with each other and enjoying one another's company. I haven't seen Nami this happy in a while, or at least how she is now ever. I could swear she has a flirtatious smirk, and the other woman is living it, smirking back. Who knew Nami had that side of her? Or maybe I'm reading too deeply. I glance at Reina, "They're flirting I think. Good chemistry," She says and I raise an eyebrow, "you can tell from here?" I ask and she smirks, "I've read too many romance books, you can tell from their posture alone, or their smirks." she says and my eyebrow goes higher playfully, "You know quite a lot." I say playfully. "I do, your right. At least romantically from books of course." she says smirking slightly. "Confident, I admire it." I say and she smirks "Its not confidence if I'm right," She says and I smirk "Arrogant are we?", "No, i'm quite confident, I have some limited experience myself so I would know." She says and I tilt my head playfully, "limited? sounds to me like inexperienced." I say and she smirks "Oh? Enlighten me," She says seductively, deeply amused, resting her head on her hand. God maybe she does know what shes doing. I smirk wider. "seems like your experience taught you something, your obviously not an amateur," I say low and suggestive, smirking. "I have some experience, I did say," she stands up, "Care for a demonstration?" I get up too, god I havent felt this way in a long time. I smile wider "Yes, we shall,"
I hope someone delivers the good news to Nami soon.
