Luffy's POV [Around noon]
Wow, this meat is GOOD. Meat is good, life is good and my stomach is happy. The meat guy looks sad so I remember I need to give him money so reach into my pocket and feel around. I pull out some bones and sticks from the other stalls and... the button. Uh oh... That means I have no more money. Time to run!
Soon after I realize my predicament, and start running, the meat guy goes from sad to disbelief then anger and now he's chasing me... Shit, the other ones from earlier know where I am now too. Please don't let Nami find out, please please please.
I sprint down another alley in my attempt to lose them and run into a dead end. As they look for me, I leap to the rooftops and hide as they enter the alley I was before and stay as quiet as possible commanding Tummy to stay quiet. Tummy betrays me again and growls and they hear me so I quickly take off as they start shouting. Bad Tummy!
I keep running til I dont hear them then hop off the roofs. I look around at the new street I'm in and its lots of shops. Jewelry, clothes.. Wait, Nami said she was going clothes shopping. If they track me here she'll see and then...i shudder at the thought of Nami's punishment. I needed to pay them. And soon before they get here. I try to think of some things to do but nothing comes to mind that ends without Nami knowing. Wait, Usopp can help me! He would also be scared of Nami and hes smart so maybe we can work together.
Now where could he be?...
[1 hour later]
I've been in super sneaky ninja mode as I run around looking for Usopp, well, anyone that not Nami that can help me. The meat guy from earlier had been putting out wanted posters to catch me that I've been taking down so that I don't get caught and I see Brook on a street corner. Perfect!
"BROOOOKKKK, I NEED YOUR HELPP" I shout, waving wildly as I run to him. Brook looks at me, as I skid to a halt before him "Yohohoho, I wasn't expecting to see you here Luffy-san. You were saying you need my help?-" he says and I nod frantically "I need more of the..." what was it? shit, why did I come here? I'm hungry and Tummy is mad at me for all that running. Brook stares at me confused as I make hand gestures, hoping he can figure it out. "Meat? Money? Panties-" "MONEY, yes, that!" I exclaim cutting him off "Why do you need money? didn't Nami-san give you some before we docked?" he asks and I scratch my head shyly, "About that...." I start and Brooks face goes grim, "You used it all." he finishes staring at me with a look that could be pity or terror on my behalf for Nami's impending punishment on me. He reaches into his case and pulls out some bills "How much?' he asks carefully and low and quiet? I shrug, and he sighs. "Lets get this over with quickly" He says and we begin walking toward the meat district.
[20 minutes later] We step into the meat district and as soon as the first vendor sees me, chaos erupts and they all come demanding their money, Brook pushes me back, holding bills in each hand and calms them then pays them each individually. A few minutes later, we walk out followed by a few angry stares which I ignore, feeling dejected as Brook scolds me lightly. Its definitely better than Nami but Brook tells me that I am banned from their meat district and punish me on Nami and the other behalf, he's going to supervise me for the rest of the day.
I suppose it could've been worse but Brook doesn't let me eat anything til we reach the tea shop he was headed to and I stand around, bored out of my mind as he buys a tea and some cookies for me. After he pays we sit outside eating, Brook enjoying his tea. "Yohohoho.." he laughs darkly. "today was certainly...." he trails off in thought.
Could've been worse I guess.
