Morning came far too quickly.
Kang Sera opened her eyes slowly-
...and immediately sat up.
"...Oh."
Soft bed. Luxurious room. No back pain.
"...Right. I'm rich now."
A satisfied smile spread across her face.
"Good morning, capitalism."
Downstairs
Sera walked into the dining area, stretching lazily.
A long table.
Too long.
"Why is this table longer than my lifespan?" she muttered.
At the head sat Han Jiheon, already dressed in a perfectly tailored suit, reading something on his tablet.
Cold. Untouchable. Annoyingly attractive.
"...You wake up early," she said, taking a seat.
"You wake up late," he replied without looking at
her.
"...I was dead yesterday. Let me adjust."
A pause.
His hand stopped for a second.
Then continued scrolling.
Breakfast was served.
Sera stared at it.
"...Is this for one person or a small wedding?"
"Eat," Jiheon said.
"...Don't rush me. I need to emotionally connect
with the food first."
She picked up a fork.
Took a bite.
Paused.
Then-
"...Oh my God."
She looked at him, genuinely shocked.
"This is amazing. Marry the chef instead."
A maid coughed to hide her laughter.
Jiheon's expression darkened slightly.
The Announcement
After breakfast, Jiheon stood up.
"Get ready. You're coming with me."
Sera blinked.
"...Excuse me?"
"To the company."
↓
"...Why?"
He finally looked at her.
"Because starting today," he said flatly,
"You're my assistant."
Silence.
"...Your what?"
"My assistant."
She stared at him.
"...You married me to take my blood."
"Yes."
"And now you're hiring me as your assistant."
"Yes."
"...Do I get paid for this too?"
"No."
"...Wow," she nodded slowly. "Exploitation in multiple formats. I'm impressed."
The Ride
Inside the car, Sera leaned back, thinking.
"...Assistant, huh."
Her lips curled slightly.
"...I don't hate it."
She glanced at Jiheon.
"...I've always been curious about business."
He didn't respond.
"...Also," she added, "if I'm going to work for you, I
expect benefits."
"Like what."
"Emotional support."
"No."
"Free food."
"...Approved."
"...See? We're already bonding."
The Company
The car stopped in front of a massive building.
Glass. Steel Power
Sera stepped out and looked up.
"...Okay," she whispered. "This man is illegally rich"
Employees walking in froze slightly upon seeing Jiheon-
and then-
Their eyes shifted to her.
Whispers spread instantly.
"Who is she?"
"She came with the CEO.."
"Isn't that his wife?"
"I thought she never comes out-
Sera smiled sweetly.
"Ah," she murmured. "Public attention. I've missed this"
Inside
The moment they entered-
A man rushed toward them.
"CEO Han!"
Bright. Energetic. Slightly chaotic.
He stopped when he saw Sera.
Oh
He blinked.
OH
Jiheon spoke first.
"Jung Minwoo. My secretary."
Minwoo straightened instantly.
"Ah-yes! Hello, ma'am-I mean-Mrs. Han-1
mean-
Sera raised a hand.
"Relax. You'll explode at this rate."
He froze
You're... different from what I heard." She smiled.
"People lie. A lot."
Jiheon interrupted coldly.
"She'll be working as my assistant"
Minwoo choked.
I'm sorry-what??"
Chaos Begins
Sera walked ahead casually.
"So, where's my desk?" she asked.
Minwoo whispered to Jiheon:
Sir are you serious?"
"Yes"
But she's your wife-"
"And?"
"And nothing," he muttered. "I value my life."
New Characters Appear
As they walked through the office-
A woman stepped forward.
Elegant. Sharp. Confident.
"Jiheon"
Her gaze shifted to Sera.
So this is the famous Mrs. Han."
Jiheon spoke:
"Director Choi Yuna"
Sera smiled.
"Famous? I didn't know I had fans."
Yuna's lips curved slightly.
"Interesting."
Another man joined them-
Tall, relaxed, slightly amused.
"CEO Han," he greeted, then glanced at Sera.
"And this must be the wife who never appears."
Jiheon's tone turned colder,
"Director Park Taehyun."
Sera waved lightly.
"Hello. I exist now."
Taehyun chuckled.
"I can see that."
The Assistant Desk
Finally-
Sera reached her desk
Right outside Jiheon's office..
She looked at it
Then at him.
So this is where I suffer."
"Work starts now."
"You're really not romantic at all."
He handed her a file.
"Organize this."
She took it.
Opened it.
Paused
Oh
Her eyes sharpened slightly.
"This is interesting."
Numbers.
Contracts
Business flow.
Her lips curved.
like this."
Jiheon noticed.
His gaze lingered
"You understand it?"
She didn't look up.
"Of course."
A small pause
Then she added-
"Don't underestimate me just because I look like I'm dying."
Silence.
End Scene
As Sera worked-
Effortlessly.
Naturally.
Like she belonged there-
Jiheon stood inside his office, watching her
through the glass,
She's changed," Minwoo whispered.
Jiheon didn't respond.
His eyes remained fixed on her.
Sharp
Suspicious.
Interested.
"Let's see," he murmured quietly,
"what you really are, Kang Sera"
