Arriving in the dungeon after a short walk, Nero lead the way, knowing that although Yumi was strong that in the dungeon stats mattered the most on the upper floors, at least that is what he thought
The goblins and kobolds on the first few floors weren't even able to detect Yumi as in Nero's eyes, she seemed to simply merge into the darkness one moment before the monster turned to dust as she appeared next to it the next second
"How are you able to do that?" Nero asked in shock, never having seen her perform moves like that in the training space
"Compared to the training space which is a large open space where the visibility is quite good, the dungeons lower lighting, combined with the corners and rocky outcrops it makes hiding myself much easier" Yumi explained "I never taught you how to do this as you seem to be the kind of person who prefers a head on confrontation compared to taking out your foes using stealth like I did"
"Ok, I can see where you are coming from" Nero agreed with her, remembering how he normally liked to face stronger opponents head on if he couldn't kill them in one shot "So would you like to go deeper?"
"I wish to see my current limits" replied Yumi, allowing Nero to lead the way
As it turned out, with her skills even though she had only been given a falna the night before Yumi was able to deal with all of the different monsters all the way until floor 6, with her struggling only with the war shadows due to them having stronger bodies than the other monsters she had faced up until now, but they were still no match for her once she used a single black ice
"Do you want to continue any further?" Nero asked, able to tell that this wasn't Yumi's limit due to the fact that she had yet to use her ice pillar fan or her ice queen mode
"I am satisfied with the depth that I have currently reached" Yumi answered "I also do not think that I will go further than this for a period of time"
"How come?"
"In the dungeon, although it will allow me to get stronger over time, strength is not something that I seek without cause" Yumi stated "I train in order to deal with the evil of this world, something that does not exist until the middle floors in the dungeon but does exist on the surface, as such I wish to train her and increase my stats until it allows me to deal with the evil in this world, in a way that would make my grandfather proud" a determined look appearing in her eyes
"That's a really good mindset to have and will help you survive in the dungeon, knowing your limits, and know that if you need help I will help" Nero praised her "just don't force anything, the darkness in the city is deeper than you think and the dungeon and the surface aren't as seperate as you might think"
"What do you mean by that?" Yumi questioned him
"It's not something that either of us are strong enough to deal with yet so I won't tell you for now, just know that this world is very much a place where the strong make the rules, and that evil is strong enough to be able to chose which ones they follow" Nero said, remembering the details of what the evilus group had done in the world before he had been reincarnated there and the daedalus family that still commited crimes to this day all in order to create Knossoss
"Then I shall do what I can to become stronger in order to bring justice to this world" closing her hand into a fist in determination "and I will ask you to help me when I need it" she smiled
"You can count on me" Nero smiled back
"Now then" Yumi added "I have noticed that you seem to be focusing more on magic as of late due to your new teacher, and that you have become alot stronger due to the training that you are doing with her, but this has caused you to focus less on your footwork and I can tell from your steps that you haven't being practicing recently, this is something that we will work on while we are down here"
"You're still going to train me?" Nero remarked in shock, thinking that she had mainly been teaching him in order to be able to leave the training space
"Of course, a teacher for a day is a teacher for life" Yumi stated with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes "now then, the next monster that we see I want you to dodge its attacks for one minute using the footwork I taught you, if you take any damage the timer will reset, there are only two types of monsters on this floor from what you have told me so I want you to be able to deal with both of them without taking a hit before we leave"
"Ok Yumi sensei" Nero sighed, knowing that she was doing this for his benefit but not looking forward to it
"If you finish fast enough we may even move down to the next floor in order to up the difficulty, but if we do I will be relying on you to look out for any enemies as I am not as confient in my ability to deal with the monsters that I am unable to stop from attacking you while you are dodging and I don;t wish to be swarmed by killer ants" Yumi continued, wanting to push Nero to become stronger in order to be able to look after himself and not get injured
"I understand Yumi sensei" Nero sighed even deeper as they came across a war shadow, his first dance partner.
