Episode 4 – The Killing Cube and the Infernal Mission

"Dad… I probably won't be strong enough to master a technique like that," Jayden murmured, his gaze lowered.

Isaeah placed a firm hand on his shoulder.

"Do you think the strongest are born strong?" he asked calmly.

Confused, Jayden looked up.

"Why would you ask that?"

Isaeah repeated, steady and serious:

"Do you think the strong are born strong?"

Jayden stayed silent. His father continued, voice firm:

"The strong are born weak. The weak are born weak too. The difference is that the strong persist… and the weak remain weak."

He struck Jayden lightly, making him flinch.

"I'm weak, Jayden. Look at me. Strength isn't about level—it's about mindset. With the right mindset, strength comes sooner or later. So… are you strong or not?"

"No," Jayden replied quietly.

Isaeah hit him again, slightly harder.

"Are you strong or not?"

"No!" Jayden answered, louder.

This time, the blow made Jayden's mouth bleed.

"Are you strong or not?"

"NO!"

Isaeah raised his sword for one final strike—but Jayden blocked it and shouted again:

"NO!"

A faint smile appeared on Isaeah's face.

"Then take this sword… and come train."

Jayden grabbed it and charged. The training began.

Dodges, slashes, acrobatics, punches, kicks—they moved for hours, clashing in a constant dance of steel and energy. At one point, Jayden managed to lightly wound his father. Exhausted, he collapsed to the ground. Isaeah's words echoed in his mind: strength is mindset.

He stood up again, eyes burning with determination, ready to attack once more.

"We're changing training," Isaeah said, sword ready.

This time, Jayden focused on acrobatics—backflips, leaps, precise evasions. He learned to defend, strike with accuracy, and concentrate his energy. He discovered how to channel power into his fists, calling it Energy Punch.

For days and nights, he trained without sleep… until finally, he mastered the Killing Cube—his father's technique.

Isaeah sheathed his sword.

"Rest now."

A few days later, at S.S.S Academy, Jayden was sent on a mission with Kimberly and Satsujin. Satsujin was assigned to guide them while completing the mission.

The city was overrun with low-class demons, incapable of defending themselves. They had called for help from a neighboring city.

From the moment they arrived, Satsujin spent his time flirting with Kim. Jayden, uninterested, observed in silence.

Along the way, a demon was devouring a human's energy. Jayden drew his sword. Seeing an opportunity to impress Kim, Satsujin attacked.

The demon dodged and countered with a claw strike, but Satsujin evaded skillfully, driving a knee into it before slashing its head.

Kim remained unfazed.

Jayden, however, was impressed.

"How did you do that?" he asked.

"Pride and technique," Satsujin replied confidently.

Kim stepped in, calm and focused.

"If that impressed you, watch this."

In a blink, she decapitated a demon.

Jayden stared, stunned. Satsujin burned with jealousy.

As the mission continued, Kim and Satsujin eliminated demons one after another, sending them to hell as if to assert their superiority.

Finally, Kim turned to Jayden.

"You still haven't killed a single demon."

Shocked, Jayden clenched his fists. He swore to strike the next one.

After hours of searching, a demon appeared. Without hesitation, Jayden used Head Slice, severing its head. He smirked, thinking it was over—

But the demon's head regenerated instantly.

Before he could react, it struck him, sending him crashing into a building.

Kim rushed in, but the demon dodged and struck her in the stomach. Satsujin stayed back, analyzing every movement, searching for an opening.

The demon formed a sphere of energy and launched it toward Satsujin's left eye.

He screamed.

An explosion of demonic energy erupted, sweeping everything away.

A blue mass rose around Jayden.

He took the stance his father had taught him.

The Killing Cube formed around him, radiating power.

He understood—the demon had multiple lives. Every attack had to be repeated.

Blue energy lines spread across the monster's body.

Jayden struck.

Again.

Again.

Again.

He killed it—over and over—at least fifteen times.

Kim watched, impressed. Satsujin smiled.

But the demon still survived.

Jayden's Killing Cube faded.

Exhausted, he collapsed.

Kim caught him and charged forward, using pink energy lines to strike the demon. But it resisted, pushing her back. Satsujin followed up with rapid blows, forcing it back further.

Kim drove a knee into it. Satsujin prepared to cut off its head—

But the demon countered, knocking him unconscious.

It turned to Kimberly.

"The other two don't interest me. I want your rare energy."

Kim's face darkened with anger.

"Then come."

The monster charged at incredible speed.

Kim leapt, planted her foot on its face, and launched herself upward. Pink energy lines wrapped around its neck.

SLASH.

The demon fell.

It rose again—but Kim struck back violently, blood spilling from her mouth.

Just as the demon was about to kill her—

A blue fist slammed into it, sending it flying.

Jayden stood there.

"If you want to touch her… you'll have to go through me."

The demon laughed and charged.

Jayden launched forward, stepping on its face and propelling himself into the air. Fluid blue lines cut across its neck.

He remained focused and whispered:

"Fluid Head Slice."

The demon died instantly.

All the students watched, stunned.

Exhausted but calm, Jayden helped Kim to her feet, then Satsujin.

Every demon in the city vanished.

Humble, just as his father had taught him, Jayden said:

"I declare myself the victor… and the one who saved you."

Kim and Satsujin remained silent—impressed.
