Chapter 18 - Love Chocolate

"No! No! No—DON'T!" Rain shouted in panic, his voice cracking as fear took over, sweat rolling down his face while he instinctively hunched forward and covered himself, eyes squeezed shut like a man bracing for inevitable doom.

A moment passed as Rain braced himself, his whole body tense, teeth clenched, waiting for that inevitable pain to strike—but strangely, unbelievably… nothing happened.

His balls didn't ignite like last time, nor did any blade tear through his neck—nothing happened.

Slowly, cautiously, he loosened up.

His eyes opened a little.

"…hmm?"

Confusion spread across his face as he looked around, still expecting something to happen at any second.

'why is nothing happening?'

But he didn't need to bother finding the answer, because right before his eyes the chocolates inside the box started floating in the air on their own, rising slowly as if something unseen was controlling them.

Rain forced a faint, awkward, scared smile as he gulped.

"Anything but that—" he muttered, already knowing exactly what was about to happen next.

In the very next instant, all the chocolates shot forward at once, launching straight toward his mouth.

He tried to shut it—but it didn't respond. His body froze completely, like it was no longer under his control, as if something else had taken over. He couldn't speak, couldn't move, couldn't even resist as everything happened against his will.

'shit!'

All the chocolates forced their way into his mouth at once, stuffing it completely, leaving no space to breathe or react.

'Why you—motherfucker—!' he cursed inwardly at that red demon.

His jaws trembled, trying to move, trying to resist, but Rain knew—if he bit down… it was over.

He held on, forcing himself to endure, fighting against it with everything he had, resisting with every bit of strength left in his body.

'Don't bite… don't bite… DON'T—'

But it wasn't enough, it was never enough, and his control slowly slipped away—

And with the sound of absolute doom—

CRUNCH!

The chocolate shell shattered like in fairy tales—the prince breaking the seal placed on Cinderella's hidden den with his mighty sword, engulfing her in pleasure beyond imagination.

But for Rain, as the seal broke, it was far beyond pleasure. The red, gooey liquid slowly seeped out, spreading across his mouth, coating it entirely.

'Disgusting!' But that wasn't the only thing.

One by one, as he crunched through more of the chocolate shell, it kept breaking apart, each bite flooding his mouth with that thick, red gooey liquid. He couldn't stop—couldn't do anything—as his mouth burned intensely. Still, it wasn't as bad as the penalties he had already suffered.

But what came next… that was the real one.

As his mouth was forced to gulp that red gooey liquid, Rain's eyes widened in shock as it went down his throat, a sudden, crushing pain striking deep inside.

'What's happening!?'

The moment he swallowed the last of it, the force controlling him vanished and his body was finally his again.

He staggered slightly, rage bursting out. "What the fuck did you do to me!?" he shouted at the red screen.

The only reply—

[Penalty Complete]

And then it disappeared.

Rain clenched his teeth, about to curse again—

But his heartbeat spiked—racing, accelerating, spiraling out of control, far too fast.

"W-wait…" his voice shook as his hand pressed against his chest, feeling it pound like it was about to burst out.

'Breath… breathe… breathe—!'

But something was wrong—terribly, unmistakably wrong—as pain erupted, not from one place, but from everywhere.

It felt like countless blades were piercing through his entire body at once, tearing through flesh, nerves, bones, ripping him apart from the inside. His muscles spasmed violently as his veins bulged, then snapped—only to reform again in the next instant, over and over in a brutal cycle that refused to end.

"AA—GH—!"

His scream tore out uncontrollably as his body arched, fingers digging into the ground, nails scraping as if he could anchor himself against the storm tearing him apart.

His vision blurred.

His breath shattered.

'Breathe—! BREATHE—!'

But even breathing felt like dragging fire into his lungs.

His body burned, froze, shattered, and reformed all at once, like something was breaking him down to his very core and rebuilding him again and again without mercy. His veins pulsed violently under his skin, rising, bursting, healing—only to repeat the same agony endlessly.

"Stop—! STOP—!"

His voice cracked, but nothing listened.

His thoughts scattered, barely holding together.

'This—this is worse—!'

Far worse than anything before.

His body convulsed again, trembling uncontrollably as pain swallowed everything—his senses, his thoughts, his control—leaving only raw, endless agony behind.

Then his blurry gaze fell on the screen.

[It is for your good, hubby!] her expression carried a hint of worry.

'Ha… for my good… I'll never forgive yo—'

He didn't get to finish.

A final surge struck.

His heart felt like it caught fire—burning, expanding, tearing from the inside as if it would explode at any second.

"AA—!"

His body jerked violently, back arching as every muscle tightened at once, his breath cutting off mid-scream as the pain peaked beyond anything he could process.

His vision shattered into darkness at the edges.

His limbs went numb, the strength draining from his body all at once, his eyes rolling slightly as they failed to focus—and just like that, he collapsed, his consciousness slipping away completely.

---

Rain yawned as he got up, his body feeling unbelievably refreshed, almost like he had been reborn. He stretched his arms with a relaxed smile. "That was some good beauty sleep."

His eyes drifted to the screen.

[You are awake, hubby] with a hesitant smile.

Rain stared with a flat, unimpressed expression. 'What's her deal… and what even happened to me?'

But then—the memories hit, that pain, that burning.

His face stiffened, eyes widening in fear as the thought alone sent a chill through him.

He gritted his teeth. 'You… I will never forgive you!'

[Hubby!] with a slightly sad expression.

Rain was ready to snap back, ready to curse her out without caring about consequences anymore—not even that red dog bodyguard—but before a single word could leave his mouth—

His eyes shifted.

Toward the mirror nearby.

"…could it be?"

He stepped closer, staring at his reflection.

His body—different. More muscular, more defined, his frame sharper and clearly more athletic than before, and even his face… still the same, but slightly refined, subtly more handsome in a way that was hard to notice unless observed carefully.

Rain raised his hand, touching his own face as if to confirm it was real.

"How did my body become like this?" he asked, still staring at himself in disbelief.

[Hubby, the chocolate reforged your body. Since you always hated when people said anything about your face… so I thought… did you like it?] her expression turned a bit sad.

'…did I like it?' Rain thought, his face going completely blank as he processed everything.

He slowly raised his hand—like he was about to do something reckless—

But instead—his expression flipped instantly, his eyes lighting up like stars.

"I LOVE IT! You're the best wife in the world!" he shouted with overwhelming excitement.

[H-Hubby!] her face turned shy instantly.

A grin slowly spread across Rain's face.

'Heheh… this pain was nothing compared to what I gained.'

Just the thought that in return for that pain he had regained a more handsome version of himself was enough to make him genuinely happy.

A question suddenly crossed his mind. "By the way… what were its ingredients?"

[It's a secret, hubby!] she replied, still with a shy expression.

'…again with the "secret",' Rain thought, his face turning uneasy, a clear hint of dread creeping in. He always felt the most insecure whenever she said that word—because from experience, nothing good ever came out of it.

He let out a slow breath. "Whatever… I'll just get some rest."

He turned toward his soft, comfy, budget-friendly bed, already imagining himself sinking into it and drifting off into peaceful sleep—

But before he could even lie down—

DING-DONG!

The doorbell rang.

Rain stopped mid-step, his expression shifting to mild annoyance. "Now who could that be…?" he muttered as he walked over and reached for the door handle.

As he opened the door with an annoyed face, scratching the back of his head, he muttered, "I don't want to buy anything," already assuming it was some door-to-door seller.

"Who do you think I am?" a soft voice replied—yet there was no calm in it.

Rain's eyes landed on her, and instantly a devilish grin spread across his face. "Oh… it's you, you perverted masochist."

Before she could react, he grabbed her hand and pulled her inside.

She stumbled forward, caught completely off guard. "W-wait—! What are you doing!?" she snapped, trying to steady herself as she was dragged in, her expression flustered, a mix of anger and surprise flashing across her face as she tried to pull her hand back but failed to break free.

Rain shut the door behind them with a soft click, then turned toward her, a teasing glint already in his eyes.

"What do you think?"
