While Death Metal, K.O. Freak, and Double Knuckle were in the drug area, Angry Mother was causing chaos across Ice Cream Universe Land. Meanwhile, Raphael, Mystic Woman, Rocket Boy, Plasma King, and Lady Titan headed to the main base boss's room.
They were all on their own path on the mission.
Deck Master was completely surrounded. He stood there calmly smoking his cigar as multiple ogres with cosmic lasers and weapons surrounded him, alongside vampires and bat-squid monsters hovering above.
Suddenly, one of the ogres fired directly at him. Deck Master quickly reached into his deck of cards and threw one down at incredible speed. Instantly, a force field appeared in front of him, reflecting the lasers and preventing them from hitting him.
He smirked and said, "You guys seem like you'll be good, useless cards to use in battles and to clean my car."
The lead ogre growled, "You won't be saying that when you're dead! That shield can't last forever. Bring out the big guns!"
Deck Master casually went through his deck of cards and threw down three different cards. With a flash of light, three distinct warriors appeared each one a powerful foe he had defeated and turned into a card in the past, showcasing his creative ability to summon whatever monsters he defeated and created.
The first was Hand Clock, a tiny clock warrior. He rushed forward and struck an enemy, completely freezing them in time before punching them out and quickly moving on to the next target. The next was Fairy Blade, a skilled female warrior equipped with a sharp sword, who began slicing through the enemy lines. The third was Magician Knight, a powerful knight clad in black and purple armor, wielding a sword of flames. As he rushed forward, his fires surged through the space, incinerating and slicing through the enemies.
As the three summoned warriors tore through the enemy lines, Deck Master walked calmly through the crossfire. He drew a handful of blank, empty cards and flicked them forward with practiced precision.
The cards flew through the air, latching directly onto the chests of the defeated standard ogres. In flashes of blinding light, the giant brutes and their high-tech cosmic weapons vanished, vacuumed completely into the paper.
A few yards away, several massive, orange-skinned ogres spiked, heavily mutated, and completely overloaded by the superdrug lay unconscious after being beaten down by the Magician Knight's flames. Deck Master threw his specialized blank cards at them as well. The empty cards hummed with intense energy as they suppressed the volatile, chemical-induced auras of the mutated giants, snapping them into the deck.
The cards flew back into his hand like a returning boomerang. He caught them smoothly between his fingers and looked down at the freshly printed faces, seeing the artwork of the armed grunts and the hulking, spiked superdrug brutes trapped inside the borders.
"Nice to add you to the deck," Deck Master said, sliding them safely into his belt pouch.
Suddenly, he looked up to see a massive bat-squid monster firing a highly destructive blood plasma beam straight at him. The blast shattered his force field entirely. Before he could react, a second beam struck, triggering a massive explosion that sent him flying backward.
He managed to catch his balance. As another blood plasma beam streaked toward him, he rushed forward and dodged it, leaping directly toward the monster. He pulled a card from his deck, summoning an engine blade sword, and landed right on top of the beast. He began fighting off the vampires stationed on its back, slicing his way through the creature. Just before the giant beast died, he threw an empty card and sealed the entire bat-squid monster inside it.
Landing back on his feet on the ground, the card returned to his hand, the beast now officially part of his deck.
He looked up and saw reinforcements from the Superhero Organization finally appearing on the scene. "Took them forever," he muttered.
Suddenly, the ground began to shake violently. Deck Master looked ahead and saw a massive vampire named Zelarek landing on the battlefield. Standing 12 feet tall with giant wings, grey skin, red hair, and dark eyes, he was incredibly ripped and wore royal clothing and armor.
Hand Clock rushed toward the beast and touched it, temporarily freezing the vampire in time. However, the massive vampire shattered the time freeze, reached out, and grabbed the tiny clock summon, biting him and ripping him cleanly in half.
Fairy Blade rushed forward to avenge him, stabbing the vampire deep in his side. The vampire twisted his body, shattering her sword with his bare hands, and punched her with immense force, sending her flying backward until she was knocked out cold.
The final warrior, Magician Knight, stepped up. He slashed his sword through the air, sending waves of flames rushing forward. The massive vampire dodged the fire with incredible speed. A stray blast hit the vampire dead in the face, but it did absolutely nothing. The beast grabbed the knight, slammed him into the ground, and began using blood magic to drain the blood and life force out of both defeated summons.
The giant vampire laughed maniacally. "Finally, I get to let loose! I get to kill these thugs ruining our product, ruining our territory, and kill these heroes of this false nation!"
Looking on, Deck Master began to panic. He looked down and saw that his Hand Clock card was completely destroyed. He quickly pulled out the cards for his other two summons, realizing he had to act fast. "I need to bring them back before I lose them forever," he muttered.
With a flash of light, both Magician Knight and Fairy Blade vanished from the battlefield, returning safely to their cards.
Now completely alone, Deck Master and the massive vampire stood frozen, staring each other down. The giant vampire took a step forward and said, "Another hero. Your nation tends to be full of you guys. You all failures."
Deck Master smirked, adjusting his cigar. "The only failure here is your country. Stop bringing your thugs to our nation."
"It's not my fault that the people in your nation have blood that tastes so delicious especially the powerful ones," Zelarek rumbled.
He rushed forward at blinding speed. Deck Master barely managed to dodge as the vampire's claw-like hand swiped past, scratching his face and leaving a bleeding mark.
Deck Master retreated a few steps, his mind racing. I can't risk him killing another card. I have to play this smart.
He quickly threw down a card. In a flash of light, a mechanical cannon appeared with a soldier controlling it. Deck Master barked, "On my mark, you fire!"
Deck Master then rushed back toward the vampire, who charged straight toward him in response. As they closed the distance, Deck Master pulled out another card, summoning the massive bat-squid monster he had defeated earlier. The creature's giant tentacles immediately wrapped tightly around the giant vampire, trapping him.
While Zelarek fought to break free from the squid's grasp, Deck Master drew his engine blade sword and rushed in, slicing deep into the vampire. Zelarek screamed in pain, but using his brute strength, the massive vampire chopped his hand down like a blade, slicing right through the bat-squid and killing it instantly.
Before Deck Master could pull back, Zelarek grabbed him by the leg. The giant vampire swung him around, slamming Deck Master violently into the ground multiple times, cracking the earth beneath them before throwing him forward.
As Deck Master was hurled through the air, he quickly threw down a card right in front of him, landing face-down on the pavement. It instantly turned invisible a hidden trap card.
Deck Master crashed to the ground, heavily bruised. Zelarek walked toward him and unleashed a devastating sonic bat scream. The sound waves hit Deck Master head-on, causing severe internal injuries; deep cuts appeared all over his body, and blood began to spill from his mouth.
The vampire continued his slow walk forward, a cruel smile on his face. "It's over for you. I can smell your blood."
Suddenly, Zelarek took another step and slammed his foot directly onto the trap card. The card materialized, losing its invisibility, as heavy, glowing chains erupted from the ground and wrapped tightly around his massive body.
Zelarek struggled against the binds, completely confused. "What is going on?!"
Deck Master spat out a mouthful of blood and grinned. "You fell into my trap card." He then raised his hand and shouted, "Fire!"
The mechanical cannon immediately activated, its monster operator grinning as it pulled the trigger. A hyper-concentrated ice beam erupted from the barrel, hitting Zelarek's bound arm dead-on and encasing it in solid ice. Zelarek screamed in agony as the frozen limb shattered into pieces like glass.
Roaring with pure fury, Zelarek unleashed a massive flap of his one free wing. The resulting gale-force wind pressure tore through the plaza, instantly ripping the mechanical cannon apart and obliterating the monster operator into dust. Downward, he unleashed a massive sonic boom, shattering the celestial chains and completely destroying the trap card in a violent explosion.
As the thick dust finally settled, both fighters stared each other down. Deck Master was breathing heavily, completely beat up and bleeding, but he held his ground. "Come on," he muttered, raising his fists. "We can keep going."
Zelarek smiled widely as his body began to crackle with blood magic. Using advanced blood manipulation, his shattered arm rapidly began to regenerate, growing back to full size in seconds.
But just as he was about to finish the fight, Zelarek suddenly froze. His eyes widened in shock. "Oh no... They killed the Prince."
Without another word, he ignited his wings and flew off at phenomenal speed, rushing directly toward the main subterranean base.
Deck Master watched him fly away, falling to one knee as he breathed heavily. "That was a close one," he muttered, wiping his brow. "I almost ran out of energy."
Far below the surface, the tactical comms channel buzzed with feedback as Deck Master's update came through. Rocket Boy gritted his teeth, shifting his twin cosmic pistols to a tighter grip as he ran alongside the rest of his fractured strike force: Lady Titan, Plasma King, Mystic Woman, and Raphael.
"Yeah, we're holding our own!" Rocket Boy barked back through the static.
They tore through the final winding corridor of the subterranean maze, only to slide to a sudden halt at the edge of a catastrophic precipice. Before them lay a massive, smoking chasm. A giant explosion had violently ripped open the ceiling, tearing a jagged hole that went all the way up to the surface world, letting the neon artillery fire from above pierce the darkness of the lower facility.
Raphael stepped to the edge, his enhanced vision instantly taking in the sheer destruction. "Looks like a massive fight already took place down there."
"According to my data coordinates, this is where the main boss's room was," Rocket Boy said, his jetpack giving off a sharp hiss of readiness. "Come on, let's go!"
Without hesitation, the group leapt directly into the smoking crater.
As they landed amidst the rubble, the gruesome aftermath of a brutal crossfire unfolded before them. Dozens of heavily armored ogres lay broken across the floor, mixed with the pale, ash-like bodies of defeated vampire hitmen. Scattered among the wreckage were the massive, grotesque carcasses of the Scientist's bio-engineered Chimeras, their massive beastly limbs and stitched-together hides oozing volatile chemical fluids onto the shattered concrete.
On one side of the cavernous room, the Vampire Mafia was gathered in a tight, panicked circle. Valeria the elite High Council vampire was dropped to her knees on the blood-soaked pavement. She was cradling a young vampire boy in her arms, her fingers trembling violently. Imbedded deep into the youth's chest, right through his heart, was a sleek, dark samurai blade.
Tears of pure crimson spilled from Valeria's piercing eyes, rolling down her pale cheeks. "Little brother... please wake up. Please!" she pleaded, her voice cracking with despair. "It's my fault... I told you not to come on this mission, but you convinced me to let you. I shouldn't have left your side... our future King...."
Sensing the newcomers, she whipped her head around, her fangs bared as she locked her furious gaze onto the samurai standing in the center of the room. Killian, the infamous Dragon, stood completely unfazed by her grief.
"You will pay for this!" Valeria screamed, her voice dripping with absolute malice. "The entire Ninja Clan will pay! If my brother does not survive this, you will feel the absolute wrath of our kingdom!"
Killian casually tilted his head, his face an unreadable mask of cold lethality. "He won't survive it," he responded, his voice terrifyingly calm. "And I am no longer a part of the Ninja Clan. You can hunt them down and slaughter them all I don't care. You'd actually be doing me a favor."
He gestured faintly toward the weapon still buried in the boy's chest. "That blade is laced with a highly specialized poison engineered specifically to kill immortals. If I were you, I would hurry."
Killian raised his hand, gesturing slightly. With a dark shimmer of mystical energy, the samurai blade tore itself free from the dying prince's chest, teleporting instantly back into the mercenary's open palm. He slowly wiped a stray drop of blood from the steel. "Now, let's continue the fight. I see we have more blood for my blade to feed on."
Suddenly, a massive shockwave rattled the cavern as Zelarek descended from the upper hole, his giant wings flaring as he landed heavily by Valeria's side. He took one look at the dying prince and his face contorted in shock. "What happened?!"
"Zelarek, we have to go!" Valeria choked out, hoisting her fading brother into her arms. "Signal the other vampires to head back home! We have to save our Prince!"
Zelarek didn't hesitate. Facing the center of the room, the twelve-foot-tall elder vampire unlocked his jaw and unleashed an absolute, hyper-concentrated Sonic Stream.
The deafening sound waves hit everyone in the room with catastrophic force. The heroes, the remaining villains, and the syndicate thugs all instantly dropped their weapons, clamping their hands tightly over their ears as the brutal vibration violently attacked them from the inside out. Some began bleeding from their mouths and ears under the crushing acoustic pressure, everyone reduced to holding their heads in agony. The blast was so immense that it rippled upward through the chasm, echoing across the entire theme park as a spiritual frequency commanding all active vampire forces to retreat.
Taking advantage of the total auditory blindness, Valeria, Zelarek, and the remaining vampire hitmen ignited their wings, escaping through the massive ceiling hole and fleeing into the night sky.
As the painful ringing in his ears began to fade, Rocket Boy stumbled forward, looking up at the escaping armada. "No! We can't let them go!" He whipped around, pointing urgently at Plasma King and Lady Titan. "You guys go after the vampires! We will stay down here, neutralize the killer, and arrest the rest of them!"
"Are you out of your mind?" Plasma King hissed, refusing to budge. His fluid neon energy flared with a greedy, volatile brightness. "You think you're gonna take the ultimate prize away from us? Who cares about those damn bloodsuckers when we have the legendary Hero Killer standing right in front of us!"
Lady Titan stepped up beside him, her jaw tightened in absolute defiance. "He's right. The vampire prince is already dead for all I care. I'm not leaving until I put a hole through the monster who murdered my teammate. That promotion is mine!"
Meanwhile, Mystic Woman stood completely frozen. She was shocked as she stared at her brother, utterly terrified by what he had become and the cold blood dripping from his blade.
While the Organization heroes aggressively argued among themselves, the remaining syndicate forces were scrambling.
On the opposite side of the room, Golrath, the supreme leader of the Ogre Gang, was leaning heavily against a shattered terminal, badly injured from his prior clash with the vampires. Surrounding him was Thragor and a desperate line of elite ogres. Every single one of them had taken the volatile superdrug, their thick skin turned a vibrant orange and covered in jagged spikes. On top of their massive, drug-enhanced muscle mass, they were wearing the high-tech hyperspace suits pulsing with unstable energy. Even with all that power, they were bleeding and severely battered from the relentless warfare.
Kymera stood perfectly still near the rear, his eyes glazed over as the voice of the Black Syndicate scientist spoke directly into his mind through an encrypted cybernetic link, guiding their next tactical move.
Golrath spat a glob of thick blood onto the floor, glaring at the bickering heroes. "I didn't know the superheroes were already in the facility," the grey giant rumbled quietly to his men. "This is bad. My base is completely destroyed and our entire operation has been discovered. Get me out of here right now!"
He looked toward the meditating shadow of Killian. "Dragon! Do your job and kill them! All of them!"
With Thragor and the spiked, superdrug-enhanced brutes acting as a meat shield, the remnants of the Ogre Gang began to rapidly retreat through the back threshold, heading toward the subterranean cargo bays to board the remaining escape battleships.
"Stop arguing!" Raphael shouted, his voice cutting through Rocket Boy and Plasma King's bickering like a razor. "Look! The main boss is getting away!"
The sudden realization snapped the heroes out of their argument. Fueled by a frantic rush to achieve their separate goals securing the evidence, gaining fame, and claiming vengeance the heroes surged forward all at once, aiming to breach the syndicate lines.
But the enemy was completely prepared to anchor the line.
Killian moved first, his twin high-frequency katanas blurring into a blinding defensive arc. Right alongside him, Thragor and the rest of the giant, orange-skinned, superdrug-enhanced ogres braced themselves, their spiked muscles bulging as they raised their heavy dimensional weapons. A massive, catastrophic explosion of kinetic, chemical, and mystical energy erupted as the two powerful factions violently collided in the center of the room.
Breaking clean out of the pack like a heat-seeking missile, Kymera charged straight through the smoke, his cold, analytical eyes locked entirely onto the independent rookie, Raphael. Kymera closed the distance in a fraction of a second, unleashing a brutal, high-velocity strike. Raphael instinctively raised his arms, channeling his crimson force as their punches and kicks violently collided, trading heavy, earth-shaking blows that rattled the entire underground facility.
As they clashed, pushing back and forth against each other's raw power, Raphael glared at his opponent. "I remember you! You're the first Chimera I fought. So you've been working with these thugs, and this is one of your hideouts? This finally ends now. No longer will you terrorize my city!"
"And no longer will you stand in our way," Kymera countered, his voice sharp and robotic. "All of my brothers and sisters you have defeated... you will pay for that. You will pay for making us look like failures in front of our Father!"
Suddenly, a massive scorpion tail whipped forward from Kymera's back like a bolt of lightning, stabbing deeply into Raphael's torso. A highly concentrated, specialized neurotoxin coursed into his veins, immediately paralyzing his limbs and freezing him mid-strike. Before Raphael could recover, Kymera threw a devastating punch, the massive impact landing cleanly and sending Raphael flying backward. The force of the blow smashed him through multiple reinforced layers of the underground base.
Crashing into the rubble below, Raphael gritted his teeth, struggling to force his limbs to move as his body's internal energy fought to neutralize and heal the venom. What kind of poison is this? he thought, his vision blurring. I can barely even move...
Before he could fully push himself up, Kymera appeared directly over him. The hybrid warrior snatched Raphael by the head, slamming him downward through yet another set of structural flooring. Kymera followed up with a brutal barrage of punches to his face, finishing the assault by driving a heavy stab into his abdomen, launching Raphael across the final sub-level.
Raphael landed hard on the floor of a massive, brightly lit, open laboratory. Bleeding from his mouth and covered in deep bruises, he struggled just to lift his torso.
Kymera dropped down from the ceiling hole, landing with a heavy thud, and began walking toward him with slow, deliberate steps.
Right then, the massive monitors lining the laboratory walls flashed to life. The screens displayed a dark, shadowy figure shrouded in mystery.
