Chapter 106 - Chap.105 - Black Heart

In the main world, William was having problems.

His ship, The Bootstrap, was being relentlessly pursued. Will originally had 7 subordinate pirate captains, but now only 3 ships remained following him at sea. Rigel appointed Elizabeth, Anamaria, and Will as his 3 Admirals, second only to the pirate king.

Of course, the patent itself was just a joke by Rigel, but it highlighted the fact that directly below Rigel were the three of them.

The pirate captains recruited for their fleet were all placed above the three of them, Will was the only man as Admiral, which attracted the pirates the most, although Will himself didn't mind it. Elizabeth also only recruited those she liked, and Anamaria still accepted whoever came along.

Knowing what his 'Admirals' were like, Rigel didn't control them, letting them do whatever they wanted in normal times.

Elizabeth practically went out in search of legends and treasures whenever she could. Will wanted to follow her, but Elizabeth immediately kicked him out. Will was too annoying, Elizabeth wanted to live adventures, not be protected. Will could only sigh, knowing that Elizabeth was surrounded by loyal subordinates, and he let her go.

Anamaria stayed near Tortuga, looting and recruiting whoever she could, the woman seemed accustomed to a calmer pace of life.

Will was responsible for the development of Atlantis, whether transporting gold for trade or bringing supplies. Anamaria helped by leaving the merchandise ready in specific locations, Will, on the other hand, only needed to worry about transportation.

Among the three, Will was the calmest and rarely looted, only from other pirates, which made him even more infamous among that group. If it weren't for the gold of Atlantis, and the Pirate hat, Will's subordinates would have already rebelled.

It wasn't just the gold, but Will also brought artisans, they were already exporting honey and silk from the island, the quality of which was evident.

Will was returning from his trip to buy necessary supplies and hire professionals, but along the way, Davy Jones appeared.

Will knew very well who Davy Jones was, they tried to fight, but after losing two ships, Will, cautious and compassionate, decided to turn back and flee.

In the ensuing chase, Will lost two more ships. Now, with only the Bootstrap and three other ships remaining, Will was furious inside, but also filled with fear. Without Rigel around, there was no way he could deal with Davy Jones.

Davy Jones, in The Flying Dutchman, on the other hand, was also initially enjoying the chase, but soon grew tired of it.

He turned to his subordinates and spoke. "Release the Kraken!"

The crew roared excitedly as they began to use the mechanism that could summon the Kraken, Davy Jones sneered, keeping his eyes on the fleeing ships.

He had been searching for Rigel ever since he found out about him, it was through an attack on a Spanish ship that he discovered Rigel's "Admirals".

He was heading towards Tortuga, ready to attack Anamaria, but unfortunately for Will, they met along the way.

The crew turned the windlass while being whipped by the boatswain, the group sped up the process, and it didn't take long for the 'pin' to rise to the top and fall all at once, a ripple spreading across the sea.

A smile spread across Davy Jones' lips, but the next moment, his eyes widened in surprise, because the Kraken didn't charge toward the fleeing ships, instead, one ship was pushed out of the sea by the Kraken's tentacles.

Rigel looked around curiously, searching for Davy Jones.

He was about to take the long way back, whether it was Calypso or the Kraken, they could take the ship directly back, but Rigel still wanted to see the sea of the dead.

However, just as he was about to leave, the Kraken warned him that Davy Jones had summoned him. Rigel was stunned and, thinking that he no longer needed to fear Jones, even without his heart, Rigel knew that even if Diabolus didn't work on Davy Jones, at least with Ira Maris and Calypso by his side, he wasn't afraid.

The moment he had the Kraken pull them out of Davy Jones' Locker, Jormun opened vents in the ship again, letting the water drain out. Rigel, on the other hand, looked around curiously, but when he saw the fleeing ships, his eyes lost their curiosity and anger grew.

Those sails marked with the Auroboros symbol, along with Bootstrap clearly visible in front of the group, made it clear what was happening.

Calypso also noticed, but her eyes were fixed on Davy Jones. When she saw the man, Calypso thought she would feel some kind of attachment to him, despite everything, Calypso did indeed have some feelings for the man.

However, she felt nothing, there was a clear detachment.

Calypso's eyes shifted to Rigel, softening slightly, shaking her head, she stopped thinking about it.

Rigel, on the other hand, was already on the move.

Waving his hand, the wand appeared in his hand, he took the Crown from his bag and placed it on his head, feeling the growing power, he invoked Diabolus.

Diabolus grew rapidly, exceeding 15 meters and reaching up to 50 meters in length, its size was ridiculous. The snake let out a ghostly hiss before lunging towards the Dutchman.

Just as the snake was about to swallow the Dutchman whole, Rigel came to his senses and made it veer off course. He remembered that he hadn't yet boarded the Dutchman, if he destroyed it like that, it would be a shame! He still needed to update Jormungandr.

Davy Jones was already shocked when he was nearly swallowed by the colossal snake, but the moment he sighed in relief as the snake dodged, he saw the giant snake explode in green light. Five spectral snakes, 10 meters tall, were reformed by the light, and before Davy Jones's astonished eyes, the snakes charged at him and his crew!

Davy Jones drew his sword and dodged, cutting down the snake that lunged at him. The snake hissed in 'pain', its form trembling. His crew were not so lucky, the other snakes attacked every part of the ship, swallowing them whole!

They dissolved into black mist as they screamed in pain.

In Ragnarok, Rigel frowned slightly, feeling the pressure of destroying so many cursed beings at once. He also saw Will's father, so he had to avoid killing him. His eyes drifted to Davy Jones, a snake wasn't enough against him.

The man was very good in combat, his sword constantly caused Diabolus to be 'wounded' as he dodged its bites.

Seeing this, Rigel made two more snakes explode, transforming them into dozens of snakes a few meters long, which surrounded Davy Jones, attacking from all directions.

Davy Jones finally couldn't handle it all, he was bitten multiple times, each time tearing off a piece of his flesh, black mist emanating from his wounds, and finally he couldn't take it anymore as the 10-meter Diabolus swallowed him whole.

A roar filled with pain rang out again, Rigel's eyes widened, he felt something much heavier than anything he had ever felt before, it wasn't just a curse, there was Divine power bound to him!

Rigel, even wearing the crown, fell to his knees, feeling the weight fall upon him as Davy Jones was 'digested'.

However, even when only a ghostly, pulsating black heart remained where Davy Jones should have been, Rigel felt the pressure only growing.

The heart pounded, fighting against Diabolus's power. Rigel made the other snakes merge with the main Diabolus, all the power caused the snake to grow back to its 50-meter size, but Rigel didn't feel any better. The pressure only increased, blood began to drip from his orifices, eyes, ears, nose, everything bled as he screamed. Finally, Calypso placed her hand on him, worried.

"Rigel! You have to stop! That's the power of Charon! You can't handle the death itself!" Calypso spoke quickly.

Rigel listened to her, he was already prepared to give up anyway, he couldn't take it anymore!

Diabolus dissolved, finally releasing the pulsating spectral black heart. The moment it was freed, the heart didn't disappear into thin air, instead, it chose the only crew member still alive on that vessel!

Bootstrap Bill Turner, Will's father.

Bootstrap was struck directly in the chest by the pulsating black heart.

He began to roll on the floor, screaming in pain, tearing his own shirt where his chest burned intensely, black veins spreading from there.

Without wasting any time, with the pain choking him, he grabbed his knife, plunging it directly into his own chest, tearing it open, then used his right hand to reach directly into his chest, pulling his heart out of his chest.

He fell to the ground, breathing heavily, his heart still pounding in his hand, his chest clenched shut, leaving a scar where he had cut himself, he could feel that black heart beating inside him.

The confusion of years of service that had clouded his mind for years was finally giving way to clarity.

Bill Turner looked up at the sky, confused, but one word still escaped his lips, one he swore he would never forget. "William..."
