With this also comes immortality, as long as their God doesn't die, an Apostle could effectively be resurrected from the dead every time they're killed. This was the only time Divine beings could manipulate Death, if the person isn't an Apostle, no Divine being can resurrect a random person from the dead, the most they can do is reanimate them into a zombie, but this was completely different from resurrection.
Resurrection allowed the person to restore their memories, consciousness, flesh, and cultivation at its top, as if they were never dead in the first place. Plus there was no cooldown to this ability, any God can effectively spam it.
Unless you kill the Divine being, it will have an Immortal soldier at all times. That's why many cultivators were vying for such a position, if one couldn't patiently wait for a Divine temple to spawn.
They had this alternative to Immortality, but this could be said to be harder, after all the Gods are picky with who they choose.
There was also the benefit of an exaggerated boost in cultivation and magic affinity, as long as the God kept infusing their essence into their Apostle, the Apostle would forever keep this boost and reach the peak fast, but that's as far as they go.
