The air between them warped violently as Ryan's footing was interrupted, his body jerked sideways, then forward, then sharply down as overlapping gravitational fields clashed like invisible currents tearing at him from different angles.
'Fuck, it's like they're trying to tear a piece of me, think Ryan...think!'
It wasn't just one pull anymore—it was five competing vectors trying to rip control of space itself. He hit the ground harder than intended, one knee slamming first, cracks spiderwebbing beneath him.
Before he could stabilize another clone moved. One clone surged forward, dismissing its black hole entirely to regain full mobility, its foot digging into the fractured ground as it lunged low, aiming a sweeping kick at Ryan's planted knee in the ground to resist the force.
Ryan reacted instantly because he wanted such a bold move to happen, so he reignited his Eclipse. The black sphere bloomed again in his chest, slightly larger this time, dragging the incoming clone upward mid-sweep.
The clone's leg missed by inches, its body tilting as gravity betrayed its momentum, but the moment Ryan committed to the pull. Two other clones collapsed their own black holes simultaneously.
The sudden release shifted the gravitational balance. Ryan's pull is overextended. The first clone wasn't just lifted, it was slingshotted, twisting mid-air with unnatural speed, its heel snapping toward Ryan's jaw.
"Too fast!"
Ryan leaned back, but it was not enough. The kick clipped his cheek, snapping his head to the side.
He slid a step back and immediately canceled his Eclipse. He expected a more lengthy, complicated fight, but he wasn't expecting it to end so quickly; everything that happened in the fight that took place ended within 10 seconds.
'I'll admit that I was a fool to expect much; however, I did learn a thing or two from this. I need more offensive abilities. What is this void Breaker thing anyway, system?' He asked, with the fight ending as a defeat on his part, the clones began to dissipate like a mist, which made it seem like they were ghosts instead of having physical bodies.
[Host, as your connection to the Void grows stronger and you fully comprehend it, only then will you know]
Ryan wasn't pleased with this, so he pressed further, "How do I increase my affinity with the void and strengthen my connection?"
[Ding! Host its about time you asked. In order to grow your connection, you need to simply cultivate and nurture your essence. But it's not that easy, like a cultivator, you will need specific rare resources and pills, then the refinement process begins]
[Once Host has refined these ingredients, infuse your essence into the mixture to form a cosmic shard. This cosmic shard will be crushed into pieces and absorbed into your Divine spirit, nurturing it and strengthening your connection to the Void, after that it all comes down to comprehending the Void to unlock Divine abilities]
"What are these ingredients required, and how do I obtain them?"
[Heres the list:
1. Voidheart
A crystallized drop of primordial nothingness.
---
2. Ninefold Samsara Immortal Lotus
A lotus that blooms only once every nine cosmic cycles in the River of Reincarnation. Each petal represents a completed life and contains accumulated karmic insight.
---
3. Heavenly Bone Marrow
The bones of an ancient being that defied the Heavenly Dao and survived. This marrow pulses with rebellious Dao intent, so be careful how you use it]
[Since you're a God, the ingredients you will need won't be easy to acquire in the world of Eldora. First, the voidheart is an item only made by beings from the void, since you're a Divine being from the void, making this won't be a problem for you]
[Second is the Ninefold Samsara Immortal Lotus, which can be obtained in the Garden for Reincarnation in the Heavens. It's a garden protected by primordial spirits who oversee the Reincarnation process.]
[Third is the Heavenly Bone Marrow, which can be found in the Demonic planes on a corpse of an ancient being. The Demonic planes are a universe next to the Earthly planes universe]
"All that just to improve my connection with the void, how tedious!"
[Host, be advised that the void is the strongest Origin compared to the other origins of the Gods; that's why it's so difficult to refine. Currently, your connection to the Void is at 5% while the other Gods' connections to their Origins are approximately at 60%]
[So you can imagine if a fight happens, you won't be as flexible, so stop complaining and get stronger!!]
"Okay, I get it, and I was not complaining...looks like I still have a long way to go even though I'm a God."
With this concluded, Ryan finally understood that since he was a new God, he was like a fish in a pond of sharks, so while Elira continued her Mutation, he would have to create enough Voidhearts before venturing out to find the other ingredients.
[DING! TASK: Refine 10 Voidheart crystals
Reward: Stats boost, 1 New affinity, 2 abilities]
Seeing this, he became optimistic, his conviction renewed as his thoughts about the future kept evolving. He didn't want to one day regret not pushing himself to the limit, so he didn't want to take any chances and began the long grind.
Siting cross legged, he channeled his energy into his core, his core then manifested as a spirit that acted lively. He then carefully transferred his consciousness into the spirit using his energy. Now that he had become the spirit, he traveled to the Void. This was easy since he was born there and could easily appear there.
He then began bathing and soaking his spirit with the void essence. After bathing for 3 Days, his spirit returned to his core, then he carefully injected the essence from his spirit into the Core. This took another 3 days. After that, his core was filled with Void essence as it crackled with energy.
Since he was a Divine being, the process was extremely quick; if it were an ordinary mortal, this would have taken 3 years at least, and that's if your spiritual potential was high grade
