Chapter 12 - Make me Whole!

The dwarf Sun kept pulsing with heat waves that were so powerful it began melting the infrastructure of the city. The heat wave didn't stop there, It expended beyond the city affecting the outskirts and forests in the distance.

Each heat wave pulse felt like a heartbeat, with each thump causing a heat wave blast that pulverized and melted everything in its path. The little girl was fully convinced that was probably why those people flew into the sky into outer space.

"Littel girl, See this power, this is one of just many, imagine the possibilities of what one can do with this" She spoke like a fanatic, as if she worshipped her own powers, her voice was full of pride and excitement.

She held the little girls hand and they began casually taking a stroll around the Ruined city, the mini sun was still right above them throughout this. But it didn't seem to effect them, its like the heat even refused to go near them.

"Forget what that bastard Gunther said, power comes and goes for these pathetic worms...however I, I can teach you how to keep this kind of power" As she said this she pointed to the sun right above the city. Looked so fearsome from such a close distance, like it could consume you before you even blinked.

"The only curse you will have to face, is that nobody will be worthy enough to even fight you, they all run away when they see you like your some Plague!" She said with fake teary eyes as if she was hurt by this, but anyone watching her performance would curse her forever.

They knew she enjoyed every bit of their surrender and cowardness, it pleased her to see inferior cultivators run away. That's why they cursed her when seeing her pretend like she felt sad about their behavior.

The little girl tugged her robe which drew her attention as they reached a cliff outside the city. "I want to become strong like you" she said as she finally tossed her toy aside. This change pleased the cultivator, seeing this young girl abandon her child like mind and begin her desire to pursue power made her smile.

"You remind me of myself once a time, but that was long ago." The white robed cultivator spoke, gazing into the distance. The city and its buildings and infrastructure had been reduced to a lake of lava, with no sign of life.

"May I ask, who are you" the little girl finally asked as she was carried by the cultivator towards a ship in the distance, they had completely abandoned the mini sun that was causing havoc.

"I go by many names because of my enemies, but you can call me Lyrielle, little one"

Ryan ended the projection from the there, seeing a teary Elira who quietly sobed. The trauma came rushing back in like an unforgiving avalanche.

Ryan got close to her and held her in his arms as she sobbed on his chest, "I know it hurts, this world has done nothing but punish you...even your soul is has been shattered, your humanity stripped away. I want to make you whole again Elira. Let me in, and I'll show you the power of a restoring God".

This was a crucial step in Ryan's plan, one would like at the situation and think he's being genuine, but only those who looked closer would see how dangerous Ryan was.

He didn't put the footage up from her memories by mistake, in order to fully control someone and make them your eternal slave, you must break them, them build them back up piece by piece in your own image.

It's manipulation 101, truly evil stuff.

Since he was being genuine, his Persuasion master ability gave his soothing words a magical ambience, making them hit the right spots in her brain. This slowly altered her perspection of him, she was starting feel like he was a savior from her world of pain.

'Traumatized Girls are the best, their easy to trigger once you hit the right spots, and even easier to control if you play your cards right'

He was right to a certain extent, however this required a calculated approach that Ryan had exercised.

Sure her emotional barriers towards this God that defiled her were crumbling. It was like a bridge supported by pillars, those pillars being her beliefs and conviction. They crack and the cracks spread rapidly, eventually it would fall. But just before it does.

Ryan would build a new foundation of his own image. "Please...*sob*, no more, I don't want this" The memories were merciless, like a constant image burned into her mind.

"Shhhh, rest here" Ryan gently positioned her on the chair and gave her space to grieve and fully confront her trauma. All those bottled emotions hidden under a cold demeanor, were finally unleashing like a raging fire.

In her pursuit for strength she had forgotten what she hand lost in exchange. Ryan could only stare in annoyance, 'I get that she's grieving especially because of the flashbacks, but this is taking too long, I need to tame her and make devoted to me, after that the real Breeding begins hehe'

After a couple of hours of space, she finally came around, wiping away the last strand of tears, her eyes glinted with killing intent. Her conviction was renewed as her goals realigned and changed.

Ryan noticed this even though he wasn't paying attention to her.

"Your holiness, make me whole again, make my enemies pay. I'll do anything to prove I am worthy of your power!" Her voice rang out catching Ryan's attention. He seemed to be staring into space, but then gazed at her like a proud father of her daughter, she was after all in a kneeling position.

"Good, I'll—" His sentenced was interrupted by a prompt from the system, so he decided to pause and read the text...and what he saw made him smile even further.

[HIDDEN TASK COMPLETE]
