"So it's the Jiang Family head. It's been a while," Zhao Chen said with a faint smile, looking at the familiar face before him.
Seeing that Zhao Chen actually acknowledged them, Jiang Ziwen immediately pulled his sister and father closer, whispering urgently, "Father, Sister! This is our rare opportunity. If we can show goodwill to Zhao Chen and get him to grant us priority evacuation privileges, our Jiang Family can leave this damned place as soon as possible."
Jiang Shasha had not dared to meet Zhao Chen's gaze since she first saw him.
Family Head Jiang Xiong's expression was complicated. Ultimately, for the sake of the Jiang Family's interests, he stepped forward and bowed to Zhao Chen. "Jiang Xiong pays his respects to the Lord."
Jiang Shasha remained motionless.
Growing impatient, Jiang Ziwen pulled his sister along and called out to Zhao Chen, "Lord, my sister has often spoken of you during this time. Due to some misunderstandings before, your connection was severed. Now that we have this rare chance to meet, I believe you two can rekindle that bond."
Rekindle that bond?
Hearing these words, Jiang Shasha felt so ashamed she wished she could die on the spot.
Zhao Chen smiled without responding. Merely greeting them was already an act of grace on his part. As for other matters? He chuckled inwardly.
Zhao Chen continued walking forward.
"Father..." Jiang Ziwen urged his father, seeing this as their desperately grasped lifeline.
Jiang Xiong steeled his heart, knelt on the ground, and kowtowed. "Lord, I, Jiang Xiong, was foolish before. Considering our Jiang Family's history of serving the Zhao family ancestors and contributing to their achievements, I beg you to allow our Jiang Family descendants to... to evacuate this planet. Our Jiang Family is willing to return to the Fierce Dragon Star System and serve you and the Zhao family diligently. I, Jiang Xiong, am willing to relinquish my position as Family Head!"
For the sake of the Jiang Family, Jiang Xiong was even prepared to give up his role as Family Head.
Zhao Chen stopped and looked coldly at Jiang Xiong. "I gave you a chance once before. The path was one you chose yourselves. Once you've chosen the road you wish to walk, there is no turning back. Wait here for the lottery."
Zhao Chen left without looking back.
Since they chose to leave the Fierce Dragon Star System when it was most needed, they no longer had the right to return.
Zhao Chen and his entourage completed their inspection and left for the next evacuation point.
The Jiang Family members were utterly dejected, especially Jiang Xiong, who alternated between vacant stares and foolish laughter.
Jiang Shasha sat on the ground, her eyes lost and confused.
From the moment their Jiang Family chose to leave the Fierce Dragon Star System, they had been wrong. Her father was wrong, she, Jiang Shasha, was wrong, their entire Jiang Family was wrong.
Now, all they could pray for was to escape this planet safely.
...
After completing the planetary inspection, Zhao Chen's appearance had, to some extent, reassured many of the civilians.
Zhao Chen returned to the bridge of the T3 Blizzard No. 1 Ship. Sitting in the captain's chair, he opened the System Task interface.
[Task One: Destroy thirty T3 Nest Motherships (19/30)
Task Two: Annihilate Zerg Units, reaching a total of one billion. (50 million)]
Task Three: Rescue civilians whose lives are threatened by the Zerg Plague. Reach certain population thresholds to receive corresponding rewards (5 million, 10 million, 15 million, 20 million, 25 million, 30 million...)
Current number of people rescued: 130 million. Can obtain 13,000 System Points.]
Tasks One and Two had both made some progress, especially Task One. Zhao Chen had dispatched Blizzard Squads one by one to hunt down those T3 Hive Motherships.
His efforts paid off. In just these few short days, they had already hunted down 19 of them.
Although the target wasn't fully met yet, it shouldn't pose too much difficulty going forward.
After all, there were still nine T3 Hive Motherships within this very Sapphire Star System he was in.
What surprised Zhao Chen the most was Task Three.
Evacuating 130 million people had directly triggered the Task Reward: 13,000 System Points.
Calculating based on this, it meant that for every 100 million people Zhao Chen evacuated and relocated, he would receive 10,000 System Points.
This was practically a task tailor-made for farming System Points!
"I'm going to rescue everyone on this Third Planet!" Zhao Chen's resolve was now even firmer.
He looked at the planet before him as if he were gazing upon his own bountiful harvest of System Points.
Day Five of the Fierce Dragon Fleet's control over the Sapphire Star System.
Arctic Fox Star System Stargate
A fleet of starships, almost all bearing the Fierce Dragon Fleet's livery, was approaching the Stargate.
The fleet reported its identity and applied for priority Stargate usage rights.
Because the Fierce Dragon Fleet had now been granted special privileges by the Governor of the North Wind, allowing them priority use of all Stargates within the North Wind Star Domain.
This significantly shortened travel time.
However, many were still unaware of this.
One starship fleet was notified that their scheduled Stargate usage time had been postponed.
As for the reason, they looked at the Fierce Dragon Fleet taking their spot and immediately understood they had been 'cut in line'.
"Damn it! Why does this Fierce Dragon Fleet get priority privileges? We're also part of the main fleet dispatched for support operations!" the Captain grumbled unhappily.
"Captain... look at that crimson giant ship! My heavens... is that a T3 heavy carrier starship... that's just too awesome!" the Deputy Captain exclaimed beside him, having noticed a crimson silhouette.
The moment this crimson giant ship appeared, almost everyone was captivated by its stunning form.
Because it was simply too beautiful.
And this was a carrier starship, one of the main types of interstellar warships, and at the T3 level no less!
"Could that also be a starship of the Fierce Dragon Fleet?" someone gasped in astonishment.
They knew the commander of the Fierce Dragon Fleet possessed a legendary starship, the T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser. If this T3 heavy carrier starship truly belonged to the Fierce Dragon Fleet...
Wouldn't the Fierce Dragon Fleet's capabilities be terrifyingly formidable?
But upon closer observation, they noticed something amiss.
Namely, on the hull of this crimson heavy carrier starship, it wasn't the Fierce Dragon Fleet's emblem.
Instead, it was a gleaming golden character: 'Chu'!
Was this a starship of the Chu Family?
An idea then popped into everyone's minds: perhaps this was a T3 heavy carrier starship developed by the Chu Family.
The Chu Family has long been committed to the extensive development of interstellar warships, operating numerous starship research institutes!
If it were a T3 heavy carrier starship from the Chu Family, it would hardly be surprising.
As for why it appeared within the Fierce Dragon Fleet, it was widely known that Zhao Chen was the grandson-in-law of the Chu Family.
Given their relationship, the presence of a heavy carrier starship was nothing out of the ordinary.
Soon, this T3 crimson heavy carrier starship, along with the other T2 starships of the Fierce Dragon Fleet, passed through the Stargate and vanished from sight.
The next moment, they emerged at the Stargate of the Sapphire Star System.
After exiting the Stargate, the Fierce Dragon Fleet naturally rushed toward the third planet at full speed.
Simultaneously, five Blizzard Squads, comprising fifteen T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruisers, completed their respective missions and converged at the third planet of the Sapphire Star System to rendezvous with Zhao Chen's Fierce Dragon Fleet.
