T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser · Bridge
"Reporting, Commander! Blizzard Squad One has completed its mission and returned! Awaiting further orders!"
"Reporting, Commander! All starships of the second batch of the Fierce Dragon Fleet have arrived! Awaiting further orders!"
Zhao Chen looked at his starships, a deep sense of security filling his heart.
"Since everyone is here, Charlotte, you can directly assign and explain the upcoming combat mission. We need to make the most of our time!" Zhao Chen said seriously.
Charlotte nodded. She established a video conference room, and all captains of the over one hundred starships participated in this meeting.
During the conference, Charlotte announced the combat mission.
"The strategic objective is to ensure the complete evacuation and withdrawal of all personnel from Sapphire Third Planet.
Given the current situation, to achieve this strategic objective, we must take the initiative.
There are three Hive Fleets in the Sapphire Star System.
We will launch a preemptive strike, aiming to eliminate them one by one within an extremely short combat timeframe!
..." Charlotte began detailing the specific combat tasks.
Prior to this, Charlotte had already been studying this operation plan.
"Everyone understands the combat mission clearly, right? Stand down for three hours. After three hours,
except for ten T2 Black Rhino-class Interstellar Heavy Assault Frigates, all other starships prepare to head to the first battlefield!" Zhao Chen formally issued the order.
"Yes!" the female officers chorused.
After assigning the tasks, Zhao Chen stood up from the captain's chair. He looked at Charlotte beside him and joked, "I'll return this seat to its rightful owner."
The T3 Phoenix-class Heavy Carrier Starship had arrived, so Zhao Chen naturally had to return to his flagship.
He looked at the video feed showing the crimson hull of the T3 Phoenix-class Heavy Carrier Starship, emblazoned with a glittering golden 'Chu' character.
This was Zhao Chen's previous arrangement.
Although the current situation forced Zhao Chen to deploy this somewhat conspicuous T3 heavy carrier starship, he still wanted to avoid drawing attention to himself.
Zhao Chen planned to temporarily assign it a false identity to sow confusion.
Zhao Chen and Lilith boarded a shuttle and returned to the T3 Phoenix-class Heavy Carrier Starship.
They soon arrived on the bridge.
"Commander, Secretary Officer." Deputy Captain Red Eye, who had been waiting, looked at Zhao Chen.
Since removing her mask, she no longer wore it fully over her face within the Fierce Dragon Fleet. Instead, she kept it on the side of her head like an ornament.
However, if she left the starship, she would wear the mask again.
"You've worked hard. How are the preparations progressing for the next phase in the Fierce Dragon Star System? Is everything going smoothly?" Zhao Chen asked as he sat in the captain's chair.
"Latest reports indicate everything is proceeding smoothly," Lilith replied.
"Good. Then we can focus wholeheartedly on fighting the upcoming battle," Zhao Chen said coldly.
This would be the first time Zhao Chen's Fierce Dragon Fleet truly engaged the Interstellar Zerg in direct combat.
The first battle against the Interstellar Zerg was alongside Chu Xuan's Imperial Army. Although Zhao Chen's starships played a crucial role then, it was still with allied support.
The second was the rescue mission for the Two-Academy Fleet, which was more of a high-mobility operation—rescuing the personnel and immediately withdrawing without delay.
They had merely taken out one T3 Hive Mothership in passing, severely damaged a T2 Hive Mothership, and inflicted minimal casualties on the Zerg fleet.
Therefore, none of the above could truly be considered the Fierce Dragon Fleet's formal engagement with the Interstellar Zerg.
This time was different.
Half a day later.
The starships of the Fierce Dragon Fleet were already arrayed in an orderly formation, specifically designed for combat against the Interstellar Zerg.
All gun barrels were aligned in one direction.
"Report, the Interstellar Zerg fleet will enter our weapon range in ten minutes!" Deputy Captain Red Eyes announced.
Zhao Chen's expression remained unchanged as he raised his hand and opened the latest data on the enemy fleet.
Four T3 Hive Motherships, forty-two T2 Hive Motherships, and over four hundred and fifty T1 Hive Motherships.
This was the strongest of the three Hive Fleets.
Since they were going to fight, they would start with the strongest.
This was the combat strategy formulated by Charlotte.
For this first battle, it was best to aim for the complete annihilation of this Hive Fleet.
Doing so would not only greatly aid the evacuation mission on the third planet of the Sapphire Star System but also simultaneously build the fleet's confidence for subsequent operations.
"Commander, please issue the order," Secretary Officer Lilith looked at Commander Zhao Chen.
Commander Zhao Chen used the fleet-wide command system to issue orders to all starships in the fleet: "Fierce Dragon Fleet, commence battle!"
In an instant, all Fierce Dragon starships seemed to be infused with a soul.
"T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser assault squad, prepare to penetrate and charge the Zerg fleet!" Deputy Captain Charlotte commanded.
Bridge of the T2 Lion King-class Heavy Interstellar Missile Ship
"All five T2 Lion King-class Heavy Interstellar Missile Ships, all stellar missiles are in standby status for launch!" The wolf girl Bai Xue's breathing was slightly hurried, her gaze fervent.
At her command, all five T2 Lion King-class Heavy Interstellar Missile Ships would unleash their payload.
Two thousand five hundred stellar missiles would be launched in an extremely short time, inflicting massive damage on the opposing Zerg fleet.
Just thinking about that scene made the wolf girl Bai Xue feel her heart racing uncontrollably, almost to the point of breathlessness.
Bridge of the T3 Phantom Sting-class Light Interstellar Stealth Bomber
"All five T3 Phantom Sting-class Light Interstellar Stealth Bombers have entered the flight path of the enemy's four T3 Hive Motherships and will ambush them!" Zhao Wan'er stated solemnly.
Their five T3 Phantom Stings were tasked with the ambush mission. The moment the battle began, all stellar torpedoes and stellar missiles on their five T3 Phantom Sting-class Light Interstellar Stealth Bombers would be unceremoniously unleashed upon those four T3 Hive Motherships.
This was their first time using the T3 Phantom Sting-class Light Interstellar Stealth Bombers against a Zerg fleet, and admittedly, they were a bit nervous.
Returning to the Bridge of the T3 Phoenix-class Heavy Carrier Starship
Zhao Chen looked at Deputy Captain Red Eyes beside him.
Although he was the captain of the T3 Phoenix-class Heavy Carrier Starship, the actual command duties on this starship were primarily handled by Deputy Captain Red Eyes.
He was more like a mascot stationed here.
Red Eyes exchanged a glance with Commander Zhao Chen, then began issuing orders: "T3 Phoenix entering battle-ready state. All stellar fighter and stellar drone units, deploy at maximum speed!"
With this command issued, dozens of hatches on the hull of the T3 Phoenix-class Heavy Carrier Starship opened, and units of Phoenix-class Starfighters and T3 Star Drones swarmed out!
Instantly forming a crimson 'Swarm'!
