Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Break the Control

The room was too bright.

Too quiet.

Too controlled.

Amina stood in the middle, surrounded from every side. Men in black. Eyes watching. Waiting.

But she didn't move.

Not like before.

Not like the girl who woke up confused and afraid.

This time… she was steady.

The man in front of her smiled, confident as ever.

"You always come back," he said calmly. "No matter how far you run."

Amina tilted her head slightly.

"I didn't come back," she replied. "I came to end this."

For a second, something changed in his expression.

Not fear.

But interest.

Adam stepped closer to her side.

"They're too many," he said quietly. "We need a way out."

Amina didn't look at him.

"I know this place."

That made him pause.

"What?"

Her eyes moved slowly around the room.

Every corner. Every door. Every shadow.

"I've been here," she continued. "Not once. Many times."

The man smiled again.

"Of course you have. You were one of my best."

Amina ignored him.

"There's an exit behind that wall," she said softly.

Adam followed her gaze.

"There's no door there."

"There is," she replied. "Hidden."

Silence.

Then she stepped forward.

The men immediately raised their weapons.

"Don't move," one of them warned.

Amina stopped.

But only for a second.

Then she kept walking.

Adam grabbed her arm.

"Amina."

She turned slightly.

"Trust me."

The same words.

But different now.

Stronger.

He let go.

The man watched everything with a calm smile.

"Interesting," he said. "You remember more than I expected."

Amina reached the wall.

Placed her hand on it.

Closed her eyes.

For a moment, nothing happened.

Then

A click.

Soft.

Hidden.

A part of the wall shifted slightly.

Adam's eyes narrowed.

"You were right."

Amina opened her eyes again.

But something was different.

Colder.

Focused.

Like she wasn't just remembering…

She was becoming that person again.

"Stop her," the man said.

That was enough.

Everything moved at once.

The men rushed forward.

Adam reacted instantly.

He grabbed the closest one and pushed him aside.

"Amina, go!"

But she didn't run.

Not this time.

She moved forward.

Fast.

Precise.

Her body remembered everything.

Every move.

Every strike.

Like she had done this a thousand times before.

Adam watched for a second.

Surprised.

Then joined in.

Together.

They fought.

Back to back.

Like they had done it before.

And maybe…

They had.

One of the men tried to grab Amina from behind.

She turned quickly.

Blocked him.

Then hit him hard.

He dropped instantly.

She didn't hesitate.

Didn't even think.

But then

A voice.

"Enough."

Everything stopped.

The man stepped forward slowly.

Clapping once.

Slow.

Calm.

"You see?" he said. "This is who you really are."

Amina's breathing was heavy.

But her eyes didn't shake.

"No," she replied.

"This is what you made me."

Silence.

Then he smiled.

"Same thing."

He took another step closer.

"Come back," he said. "You don't belong with him."

His eyes moved toward Adam.

"He will only slow you down."

Adam stepped forward.

"She's not going anywhere."

The man sighed.

"You still don't understand."

His gaze returned to Amina.

"You were perfect."

Pause.

"Until you started feeling."

Amina's heart tightened.

"What did I feel?"

The man smiled slightly.

"Him."

Silence hit hard.

Amina's eyes widened just a little.

Adam didn't move.

Didn't speak.

"You were never supposed to get close," the man continued.

"But you did."

Amina looked at Adam.

Something inside her shifted.

Memories.

Not clear.

But enough.

A look.

A moment.

A feeling.

"You tried to leave with him," the man said.

Her breath stopped.

"And that's when we erased you."

The truth landed heavily.

Too heavy.

Amina stepped back slowly.

Her mind racing.

"So… I chose to leave…"

"Yes."

"And you stopped me."

"Yes."

Her eyes filled with something new.

Not fear.

Not confusion.

Anger.

"I trusted you," she said.

The man didn't deny it.

"And you betrayed me."

He smiled.

"I controlled you."

"That's not the same."

"It is for me."

Silence.

Then

Amina took a step forward.

"No," she said quietly.

"It's not."

Something in her voice changed again.

Stronger.

Clearer.

"I'm not that person anymore."

The man tilted his head.

"You are. You just forgot."

Amina shook her head.

"No."

She looked at Adam.

Then back at him.

"I chose."

Her voice steady.

"I chose him."

That changed everything.

The room felt heavier.

Tension sharper.

Even the men around them hesitated.

The man's smile disappeared slightly.

"Then you'll make the same mistake again."

Amina didn't move.

"Maybe."

She stepped closer to Adam.

But her eyes stayed on the man.

"But this time…"

Her voice lowered.

"…you won't control the ending."

Silence.

Then chaos.

"Take them," the man ordered.

The fight started again.

Stronger.

More dangerous.

But this time

Amina wasn't just reacting.

She was leading.

Moving toward the hidden exit.

Adam covering her.

Protecting.

Fighting.

They reached the wall.

Amina pushed it fully.

The hidden door opened.

Dark passage behind it.

"Go," Adam said.

"Together," she replied.

No hesitation.

They moved inside.

The door closing behind them.

Footsteps echoing in the dark.

Fast.

Close.

Alive.

After a few seconds

They stopped.

Silence again.

But different.

Safer.

For now.

Amina leaned against the wall.

Breathing heavily.

Adam looked at her.

"You remembered."

She nodded slowly.

"Not everything…"

She looked at him.

"But enough."

Silence.

Then she stepped closer.

Slowly.

No rush.

No fear.

Her hand reached his.

Held it.

Firm.

Real.

"I chose you before," she said softly.

His heart slowed.

"And I'm choosing you again."

Adam didn't speak.

He just looked at her.

Like that was all he needed.

Then he pulled her closer.

Not fast.

Not sudden.

Just real.

And this time

Neither of them hesitated.
