Keifer's Pov
I haven't said these stuff even to Freya, she just know that I don't like coming to hospital and she left it like that and I felt it was good that way.
But I don't know why I opened up with Jay, I don't know maybe because some part knew she would listen and not judge me, I broke down in front of her, I haven't been like this with anyone, because I know once I let my guard down everyone will take advantage of it, but it wasn't like that with her,
I don't know why but with her I wanted to share these things that I have been keeping within me.
I became vulnerable with her after breaking down and honestly she was good friend and I think she is sent by my mom, I feel like I have friend, a true one who understands and listens to me.
She took me to the arcade when She wanted to lift my mood, If I am being honest it worked, we played like kids that I almost forgot that incident happened, and I actually laughed and enjoyed playing with her if I am being honest, I felt my body calm down when I was with her.
After that she said she was hungry and too tired to cook and I offered to cook for her because that's the least I could do after her being there for me.
Now we are driving to my house, I mean she is driving.
We get inside in my apartment,
Keifer: "You make yourself comfortable in the couch, I'll go make something for us"
Jay: "Nah, I will come sit with you"
I give her a look,
Keifer: "For that you can sit here comfortable, instead sitting next to the pan"
Jay: "Yeah but if someone cooks for me, I like to be with them and talk to them while cooking its fun"
I chuckle and say, "Fine"
both of us enter the kitchen,
Keifer: "What do you want?"
Jay: "Anything that you make the best"
Keifer: "Okay then, get ready to taste the best spaghetti."
Jay: "Well, I just hope its edible"
Keifer: "Don't come to me next time and asking to make this for you."
And she just laughed when I said that and I did to after seeing her face and actually felt light after the draining day.
I concentrated on the cooking while talking to her, we discussed about few things,
And I was done with cooking and I plated the dish and took it dinning table, when she came,
Jay: "Can we eat in the living room while watching TV?"
Keifer: "Are you a kid?"
Jay: "What, it's fun."
I nodded my head in a no and moved to the couch in the living room,
Keifer: " What do you want watch?"
Jay: " How about something romcom?"
Keifer: "Fine."
Jay: "Really? I thought you would be judgmental."
Keifer: "Like I said, you always assume the worst of me."
She gave a sleeky smile. And we decided on the film and started watching and Then I gave her plate and settled on the couch with mine and waited for her to take the first bite and anticipating for her reaction,
Jay: "Hmm, its really good Watson"
Keifer: "I know that Mariano, please enjoy" and she continued eating and I am glad she liked it,
she remembered that she had to say something to me,
Jay: "I almost forgot to tell you this because of everything that happened today."
Keifer: "What is it?"
Jay: "We have a work trip coming up day after tomorrow."
Keifer: "How many days? Everyone must go?"
Jay: "It's just a day, we will return by night and just us, because that day we have the audit coming up and we need our assistants to handle it."
Keifer: "Fine, I just hope it's worth it."
Jay: "It will be trust me."
Then I looked at her and got intrigued,
Keifer: "Can I ask you something?"
Jay : "What?"
Keifer: "Why did you start an event company?"
She looked at me before answering,
Jay: "I always liked planning and organising things, then one day I wanted to do this and then everything fell into place." She said it with a smile,
I did not realise I had a smile on my face too,
Jay: "You? Why did you choose this?"
Keifer: "My mom always wanted this but she wasn't able to do that because of my Dad, So her dream became mine and I worked hard just so she would happy that I was able to do that, but she isn't here."
She moved a little closer and and placed her hand on mine and caressed it a little before saying,
Jay: "I am sure she would have been so proud of you and all the things you have achieved, If she was here, and I am sure she is." She said it with a smile and everything she said was heartfelt.
My eyes glistened with tears but I quickly hid them,
Keifer: "Thanks." I said barely as a whisper.
She just nodded her head slowly.
And after that we continued eating and we were done,
Jay: "Okay, Thanks for the food and I have leave now."
She said and headed towards the door,
Keifer: "Wait, I'll come and send you off"
I said and joined her and both of us went to the parking lot together, she got into the car and rolled down the window,
Jay: "Okay, bye and also take care"
I smiled and nodded my head before replying,
Keifer: "Thanks for everything today" I really meant what I said.
She nodded understanding me and took off after that and I just stood there and thinking about the happening of today and I am actually greatful that I finally shared these things with someone.
