Chapter 26 - Chapter 26 Interrogator.

"Interrogator."

"Huh?" Lily was stunned for a moment, "The problem is I've never done this before. If you send me to be an interrogator, I'm afraid I won't be able to extract any useful information."

"It's fine, what you need to do is very simple. You'll be specifically responsible for interrogating those Outsiders. When they come in, you just give them some random torture. If they're willing to confess, that's great. If they're not, then just send them on their way."

"That's allowed?"

"Yes, why not? Those Outsiders are very stubborn. Even professional interrogators might not be able to get anything out of them. You don't need to feel any psychological burden."

At this point, Lily confirmed that the person in front of her wasn't lying, because this truly was an easy and good job. In fact, for a while, she couldn't find a better job than this!

According to this person, what she had to do was very simple: kill players.

Given the current level difference between her and the players, killing one player could earn her 150-200 experience points. When the players' average level increased, this value could go up even further.

This was simply a business with no capital and immense profit.

Lily never dreamed that she could instantly transition from "My Years at the Abandoned Cooling Plant" to "XX Days of Slaying Players in the Interrogation Room," experiencing the joy of leveling up in a sneaky way.

Could it be that she had finally met the Goddess of Fortune?

Lily wasn't at all worried that her unrestrained killing of players, one by one, in the interrogation room would cause resentment among them.

The reason was simple.

Once players were captured by the Wildfire Gang, they couldn't play the game normally. At this point, all they could do was log off, or browse the community and surf the internet.

If she killed these players, it would be equivalent to freeing them, allowing them to continue playing the game normally.

These players would be too grateful to her to complain.

Seeing Lily deep in thought, the NPC distributing the tasks pressed, "So, are you taking this job or not?"

Lily nodded, "Yes, why wouldn't I?"

"Alright then, I'll take you to get familiar with the work environment now."

...

Logistics Department Office.

Mark looked up and asked the person who pushed open the door, "So, did she take that job?"

The person smiled and said, "She did. She seemed quite happy about it."

Mark tapped the desk with his index finger, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.

With his strength, killing a supervisor wouldn't normally be so troublesome, but Lily was personally appointed by the Leader. Unless he was prepared to completely fall out with the Leader, no matter how angry he was, he could only go as far as yesterday and not directly act.

But none of that mattered anymore.

He had prepared an even more delicious last meal for Lily.

He specifically instructed his subordinates to thoroughly publicize Lily's impressive achievements in the interrogation room to those Outsiders when they were out on missions.

First, she captured ten Outsiders in one go and killed seven of them, then she accumulated a blood debt in the interrogation room.

Mark was a little curious about how those Outsiders would retaliate against Lily with such madness once he found an excuse to release her after a while.

Would it be dismemberment, or mincing her into ground meat, or even more cruel and ruthless methods?

How interesting.

For the next three days, Lily didn't go anywhere, staying only in the Wildfire Gang's interrogation room.

As she had expected, after seeing her, the captured players, aside from an initial shock, were incredibly happy for the rest of the time.

As time went on, players even gave her a new nickname in the community—

[The Great Savior Lily True Lord]

[But I don't think Lily is very happy either. She was suddenly assigned to be an interrogator, and she can't even do proper work.]

[She must be suffering immensely inside now, after all, she has to kill people every day, even if they are us who can't truly die.]

[The Wildfire Gang is truly despicable for treating Lily like this.]

[It's probably Mark's doing. Damn it, we need to find a way to kill him and rescue Lily.]

No, please don't "rescue" me. I'm doing very well here.

In three days, Lily eliminated a total of 23 players. Since the players' levels had gradually increased over these three days, the experience she gained was much higher than expected.

"4350 points. At this rate, in another ten days or so, I should be able to raise Psionic Apprentice to Lv8 or Lv9."

Mark?

Just wait and see if I beat you up!
