(9 Months Later)
Jay POV
It had officially been 9 months.
And these idiots were STILL staying here.
Okay, I understood the F4 boys because their parents literally gave them permission to stay. But how did Gorya and Ate Kaning get permission too?
At this point, my house looked more like a dormitory than a mansion.
And me?
I felt like I was going to pop any second.
Carrying quadruplets was NOT easy.
My back hurt.
My feet hurt.
Even breathing felt like a workout.
Right now, I was sitting on my bed trying to finish some university work while rubbing my huge stomach carefully.
Then suddenly—
A sharp pain shot through my stomach.
I froze.
"Ah—"
Another pain came, stronger this time.
Before I could even process it, I suddenly felt something warm run down my legs.
My eyes widened.
I slowly looked down.
"Oh my God…"
My water broke.
"TIA! GORYA! ATE KANING! MOM!" I screamed.
Within seconds the bedroom door burst open.
Gorya rushed inside first.
"Jay! What happened—"
She stopped mid-sentence after seeing my face and the puddle on the floor.
Her face instantly turned pale.
Jay: "I-I think my water broke…"
I clutched my stomach tightly as another contraction hit me.
"Ahh!"
Gorya immediately snapped into action.
Gorya: "THYME! GET THE CAR! REN, CALL THE HOSPITAL! Jay, breathe okay? Just breathe!"
I nodded nervously while trying not to panic.
Then Thyme appeared at the door looking confused.
Thyme: "What happened? Why are you yelling about the car and hospital—"
The second he saw me, all his questions disappeared.
His eyes widened in horror.
Mom, Ate Kaning, Tia, and the rest of F4 quickly gathered around me.
Mom: "Thyme stop standing there and get the car NOW! I'll contact the hospital!"
Without wasting another second, Thyme ran downstairs.
Gorya carefully helped me walk while I held my stomach tightly.
Another contraction hit me halfway down the stairs.
"AHH!"
Ren immediately supported my other side.
Ren: "Easy, Jay. We're almost there."
MJ looked more panicked than me.
MJ: "Why does she look like she's dying?!"
Kavin smacked the back of his head.
Kavin: "Because she's literally giving birth, idiot!"
The ride to the hospital felt endless.
Thyme was driving like a madman while Ren kept timing my contractions.
Tia was holding my hand.
And I was pretty sure Gorya threatened three different cars on the road.
The moment we arrived, nurses rushed toward us with a wheelchair.
Nurse: "She's fully dilated! We need to move now!"
Everything became chaotic after that.
Bright lights.
Doctors talking.
Machines beeping.
People rushing everywhere.
And pain.
So much pain.
Doctor: "Jay, you need to push!"
Jay: "I AM PUSHING!"
Another contraction hit me hard, making me grip the bed tightly.
Hours later…
A loud baby cry filled the room.
The doctor smiled.
Doctor: "It's a boy!"
A few minutes later another cry echoed through the room.
Doctor: "Another healthy boy!"
Then the third baby arrived.
Doctor: "And another boy!"
I was exhausted while Mom held my hand comfortingly beside the bed.
But a few minutes later—
One final cry filled the room.
Softer than the others.
The doctor smiled warmly.
Doctor: "And finally… a baby girl."
Tears rolled down my cheeks.
Three boys.
One girl.
My babies were finally here.
After the nurses cleaned the babies, they carefully placed them beside me one by one while everyone crowded around excitedly.
Tia was already crying.
MJ looked shocked.
Kavin kept taking pictures.
Ren was smiling softly.
And Thyme looked completely amazed while carefully holding the smallest baby like she would break.
Then one nurse walked inside holding some papers.
Nurse: "Miss Mariano, we need the babies' names for their birth certificates."
The room instantly became quiet.
The nurse smiled softly.
Nurse: "What is the first baby boy's name?"
I looked at the sleeping baby beside me and smiled tiredly.
Jay: "Matteo Kai Mariano."
The nurse nodded and wrote it down.
Nurse: "And the second baby boy?"
Jay: "Maverick Kyle Mariano."
MJ grinned proudly.
MJ: "That kid already sounds rich."
Everyone laughed softly.
The nurse then looked at the third baby boy.
Nurse: "And him?"
Jay: "Mila Kathleen Mariano."
Kanin smiled warmly while gently fixing the baby's blanket.
Finally the nurse pointed toward my daughter.
Nurse: "And the little princess?"
I stared at her tiny face for a moment before answering softly.
Jay: "Mira Kiara Mariano."
The nurse smiled.
Nurse: "Beautiful names."
Then she looked back at the papers.
Nurse: "Alright, Miss Mariano. I just need the father's name for the birth certificates."
The room suddenly became quiet again.
I froze for a moment while staring down at Mira sleeping peacefully in my arms.
Everyone looked at me carefully but nobody spoke.
After a few seconds, I finally answered quietly.
Jay: "Mark Keifer Watson."
The nurse nodded politely and continued writing.
Nurse: "Would you like to add the Watson surname together with Mariano for the babies?"
Before I could even answer, Mom immediately spoke firmly.
Mom: "No."
The nurse looked up.
Mom gently walked closer to the bed before looking at the papers.
Mom: "Their surname will stay Mariano."
The nurse nodded respectfully.
Nurse: "Understood."
She continued filling out the papers while everyone looked at the babies lovingly.
Tia smiled softly.
Tia: "So what are we calling them?"
I smiled tiredly before answering.
Jay: "We'll call them by their middle names."
Everyone looked curious instantly.
Jay: "Kai for Matteo Kai Mariano."
I pointed toward the second baby boy sleeping beside Mom.
Jay: "Kyle for Maverick Kyle Mariano."
Then I looked at the third baby boy.
Jay: "Kath for Mila Kathleen Mariano."
Gorya blinked.
Gorya: "Kath? That's actually adorable."
I smiled before looking down at my daughter carefully.
Jay: "And Kiki for Mira Kiara Mariano."
The entire room instantly softened at the nickname.
MJ dramatically held his chest.
MJ: "Kiki?! Nope. She already owns my heart."
Ren rolled his eyes.
Ren: "They're literally one hour old."
Meanwhile, Thyme was carefully holding Kiki while looking completely terrified that he might accidentally drop her.
Tia laughed.
Tia: "Look at him acting like a real tito already."
Mom smiled warmly while watching everyone.
Mom: "These babies are going to grow up surrounded by love."
Gorya immediately leaned closer to the babies excitedly.
Gorya: "I'm their favorite tita already."
Ren scoffed.
Ren: "Who said that? I'm obviously the favorite tito."
Tia crossed her arms dramatically.
Tia: "Excuse me, I'm the favorite tita."
MJ pointed at himself proudly.
MJ: "And I'm the fun tito."
Kavin laughed.
Kavin: "You're the chaotic tito."
Everyone started arguing playfully about who the babies would love the most while I watched them quietly.
I looked at Kai, Kyle, Kath, and Kiki softly while listening to the people around me laugh and argue.
And for the first time in months…
Everything finally felt peaceful.
KEIFER POV(While Jay Was in Labor)
It had been 9 months.
Nine whole months since Jay disappeared.
And still…
Nothing.
No clues.
No sightings.
No messages.
It was like she vanished from the world completely.
I was sitting inside the living room with Angelo, Aries, and Percy while another search report played quietly in the background.
None of us were really paying attention anymore.
Because every report sounded the same.
Nothing found.
Dead end.
No trace.
The atmosphere inside the room felt heavy.
Exhausting.
Aries was sitting quietly near the window while staring outside blankly.
Percy was scrolling through his phone restlessly like he was hoping for a miracle notification.
Angelo looked calm as always, but I knew him enough to notice the dark circles under his eyes.
None of us had been sleeping properly.
Not after losing Jay.
Then suddenly—
A sharp pain hit my chest.
"Ah—"
I bent forward immediately while gripping my shirt tightly.
It felt like something was squeezing my heart painfully.
Before I could even process it, I heard chairs moving.
I looked up slightly and saw Angelo, Aries, and Percy also bending down in pain.
Aries clenched his chest tightly while breathing heavily.
Percy shut his eyes painfully.
Even Angelo looked shaken.
For a second nobody spoke.
The pain felt strange.
Not physical.
It felt…
Emotional.
Like panic.
Fear.
Pain.
Suffering.
And suddenly—
Jay's face flashed inside my mind.
Her smile.
Her laugh.
The way she looked during New Year's Eve before everything fell apart.
My chest tightened even more.
Where are you, Jay?
The door suddenly opened.
Ella, Ion, and Honey rushed inside after hearing the noise.
Ella immediately ran toward Aries.
Ella: "Aries! What happened?!"
Honey quickly grabbed a glass of water before kneeling beside Percy.
Honey: "Percy drink this slowly."
Ion looked completely panicked while reaching for her phone.
Ion: "Angelo, should I call the doctor?!"
Angelo slowly shook his head despite still breathing heavily.
Angelo: "No… it's okay…"
But honestly?
None of us looked okay.
For a few long seconds the room stayed silent except for our heavy breathing.
Then suddenly—
The pain disappeared.
Just like that.
Gone.
All four of us slowly straightened up before looking at each other in confusion.
Aries spoke first quietly.
Aries: "It felt…"
Percy continued softly.
Percy: "Like…"
Angelo finished the sentence.
Angelo: "Jay was hurting."
The room fell silent again.
Because they were right.
When the pain hit…
Jay was the only person I could think about.
Like somehow our hearts were connected to hers even from far away.
And that terrified me.
Keifer: "Or she was in danger…"
Nobody argued with me.
Because deep inside…
We all felt it too.
That Jay was crying somewhere.
That she was suffering somewhere.
And none of us could reach her.
I clenched my fists tightly.
Where are you, Jay?
ARIES POV
It scared me.
Not the pain.
But the feeling behind it.
The second my chest started hurting, my mind immediately thought about Jay.
Not once.
Not twice.
Only Jay.
I remembered how she used to cling to me whenever she was scared as a child.
How she used to cry quietly when she thought nobody noticed.
How she always smiled even when she was hurting.
And right now…
For some reason…
I felt like she was crying again.
Far away from us.
Alone.
Ella gently held my hand while looking at me worriedly.
Ella: "Aries… are you okay?"
I looked down quietly before forcing a weak smile.
Aries: "Yeah…"
But honestly?
I wasn't.
Because for the first time in months…
I truly felt how far away Jay was from us.
And I hated it.
PERCY POV
The pain felt so real.
Like my heart physically broke for a second.
Honey kept asking me questions while holding the glass of water nervously, but I could barely hear her.
Because my mind was somewhere else.
With Jay.
I remembered how she used to annoy me nonstop.
How she always stole food from my plate.
How she laughed whenever I got angry.
And now the mansion felt empty without her.
Too quiet.
Too cold.
Honey slowly sat beside me.
Honey: "You're worrying about her again, aren't you?"
I stayed quiet for a moment before answering softly.
Percy: "I think something happened to Jay…"
Even saying it out loud made my chest hurt again.
Because no matter how much time passed…
She was still our sister.
And losing her felt like losing a part of ourselves.
ANGELO POV
Ion kept telling me to call the doctor, but I knew this wasn't something a doctor could fix.
Because the pain wasn't physical.
It came from somewhere deeper.
Something emotional.
The second it happened…
I immediately thought about Jay.
About the promise I made to protect her.
And how badly I failed.
I looked around the room quietly.
Keifer looked restless.
Aries looked heartbroken.
Percy looked lost.
And honestly?
I probably looked the same.
Ion slowly held my hand comfortingly.
Ion: "You'll find her."
I looked down silently before answering.
Angelo: "I hope so…"
Because after 9 months…
Hope was the only thing we had left.
