Chapter 6 - A New Seal

They chit-chatted on the walk back and finally arrived at Sora's mansion.

"Woah, this is your house?" she asked with a smile.

"Yeah, but it's lonely. My Father passed away before I knew him and my mother, well, is a goddess so it's not like I ever see or talk to her," Sora said with a frown.

"Ok, so what does Sora Lockheart want some random adventurer for hire like me in his party? You don't have ANYONE in your party? You're 20! What the heck?!" she asked, confused.

"Like you, I don't put my trust in many. That's why I wear the mask. If you were to join my party, you would have to give up your adventurer for hire jobs but could come and go as you please. I know that sounds like a big loss, but I promise, you and I would be dungeon clearing as much as possible. If you're worried about money, well, don't be. I have more than I know what to do with and if I'm being honest, I don't even know how this currency system works," he explained.

"Well, that doesn't sound arrogant or clingy at all…" Brie said with a straight face.

"I'm sorry, you can still live a normal life, I just have to ensure I protect myself as well!" Sora pleaded.

"Relax silly, I'm joking. Who would have known that Sora Lockheart was so gullible?" she laughed.

"Well, anyway, if you make the seal, like I said before, you'll either agree or disagree to the conditions, and we'll be able to transfer things between one another. I left out the coolest part. We can teleport to each other. If you're ever in imminent danger or just want to get away from whatever you're doing, you can just teleport to me. We will also always know where the other is, based on the seal. The seal just knows, it's weird, I know," he explained.

"Thanks again system, can you please read the conditions to her?"

Certainly Sora. I think you set good conditions and remember; you can adjust them at any time. Remember, each party member doesn't have to have the exact same conditions, although I'd advise making them the same, if not very similar.

After a few moments Brie finally smiled and said, "Ok, sure, initiate the seal."

I held out my hand, and she grabbed it. I wasn't certain this was necessary, but I wanted to hold hers. She had such cool, calm hands. Mine were sweaty and I immediately felt embarrassed.

"Are you really that nervous around me?" she asked excitedly.

"Yes, I am. Honestly!" Sora said.

Brianna Reinhardt, do you wish to create a party seal with Sora Lockheart and form the party, "The Saviors?" The conditions are as follows:

1)You cannot betray, attempt to kill, or attempt to harm Sora in any way.

2) If you try to undermine him, kill him, or attempt to use his information as leverage, you will immediately be removed from the party, and Sora will be notified.

3) Sora will be able to transfer any item, including rare skills obtained from dungeons, to you, or any party member he sees fit.

4) You will be able to teleport to Sora, and he will be able to teleport to you. This includes always knowing one another's exact location at any given time.

5) You will no longer take adventure for hire dungeon missions on the Quest board.

6) You are free to live a happy and normal life and are not bound to Sora in any other way

7) All of these conditions include a "vice versa," clause, meaning Sora is bound to you in the same way.

"I accept the conditions and agree to form the party, the Saviors, with Sora Lockheart," Brie said.

Suddenly, a magic seal appeared on both of their hands. A yin and Yang symbol, but much more vibrant than the temporary seal flashed on both of our hands, then disappeared.

Congratulations Sora! You have completed a goal: Create a party and add a member: Your personalized sealing magic is now completely unlocked. This includes other types of sealing magic. If you'd like to learn more, simply ask!

"Thanks system, but for now, I think I'd better focus on Brie."

******

"The saviors huh? What's with that?" Brie asked. "Also, you have the most amazing eyes I've ever seen. I have to ask; they come with some insane unbelievably overpowered abilities… right?"

"Well, the Saviors is the first thing I could think of, as my goal is to save the world, and as for my eyes, yes, they do, I just haven't unlocked them yet."

"Damn. That's crazy. Well, they're gorgeous to look into, I could get lost in them." Brie complimented.

"As are yours, I've never met someone with naturally blue hair and with as beautiful, unique eyes as yours." Sora said, embarrassed. "I could get lost in them," he said as his face turned red.

"I swear, what's with you Sora? You hand me an Ultravite and say you don't know the world's currency, but it's like you don't really know what's going on in this world at all? You don't have to explain, it's just rather… odd. I'm just being honest. Promise you'll always be honest with me?" Brie pleaded.

"Yes, I will always be honest with you. I've just lived a secluded life. Home schooled by one of the King's private tutors and I haven't known my parents. My social life and interaction are like that of a dying person in a hospital bed with no memories. My only interactions come at the council meetings, and they only tell us what they want us to know. It's hard, living alone in this giant mansion sometimes." Sora admitted.

"Oh! That reminds me. Do you want a third member? I already called Sasha and broke off our party and told her I'd explain later. I trust her with my life. She'll be willing to agree to your seal as well, and would it be ok if I-- moved in here? I want to get away from my parents, and I feel like explaining this all to them would be more difficult than just moving in with you, if that's ok," she asked, as her face turned beat red.

"That is completely up to you, but yes, you can move in here! I have so many rooms, so much space, and it'd be nice to actually have someone to talk to every day. I will warn you though, my plan is to grind as much as I possibly can. As for Sasha, invite her over. Don't tell her who I am though, please," Sora said as his face turned equally red.

"Ok, I'm going to head home to let my parents know!"

"System, is there a vehicle of some sort I have that Brie could use to make this easier for her? How far does she live from here?"

You live about 15 miles outside of the main human realm, Prosperia, and she lives in one of the inner cities of Prosperia. Yes, your garage is full of vehicles, you should walk with her and find one for her and check them out yourself.

"Here, Brie, follow me before you go." Sora said with a smile.

*****

With the assistance of Sora's system, they finally arrived in his garage, and both their eyes widened at the variety of vehicles in the garage.

They walked past hovercrafts, spacecrafts, things that look like planes, sports cars, SUVs, trucks, armored SUVs, armored cars, a limitless supply of vehicles.

"Well, you sure collect different means of transportation, that's for sure," Brie said awkwardly.

"It was all just here. I'm assuming my parents wanted to leave me prepared," Sora said, while shaking his head. "Anything you'd like, please take to make your travels easier."

"I like this one!" she said, as she jumped into a blue sports car.

Sora watched her press a button, which started the car. Then she input some coordinates into the main dashboard, then jumped into the backseat and started typing away on her cell phone.

"System, do I have a cell phone and what's my number?"

Yes, you do. It's 262525.

"Hey Brie, my number is 262525. You'll be my first contact who isn't a member of the council or a tutor!" Sora shouted emphatically.

With a smile and a wave, the car was off.

"System, the cars here drive themselves?"

You'd be surprised at the technology 5000 years ahead of when you passed away. One of these days, you and Brie should take a trip to Prosperia so you can get a view of human life before you go to Haven, the main city of the Uthra, for your next council meeting.

"When is my next council meeting, anyway?"

Not for another month. You actually arrived the day after our last meeting. Nothing new to note, we will get you up to speed on that when the time is necessary.

The doorbell rang and chimed throughout the house, "Sora, you have a guest waiting at your front door."

FYI Sora, your home security features are all part of my automation.

"System, that's awesome, but why is she such a mystery?"

My only interactions with vampires have come with the council meetings. You are very good friends with Dorian Ashwood, King of the Vampires, and his wife Camilla.

Sora could see the security footage in his head, like it was a part of his system. Standing at his door was a 5`8 silver haired beauty with pink highlights. She didn't look like she was 97 years old, rather like she was still 18.
