Chapter 11 - Sora Vs the Queen Fiend.

The queen quickly whirled and started throwing lightning attacks at Sora. He quickly evaded them, anticipating the patterns of each of the ripples from the lightning bolts.

"She's fast, I'll give her that. But there has to be a weakness. What slows down wind… think Sora, think."

Sora thought and thought, all while using his mental focus and fortitude to dodge each one of her attacks. He could tell the Queen grew impatient and was getting frustrated at this point. He noticed she would often go off to try and attack his party members, only to thwarted by Sora's teleportation ability.

"So, the half-god brat can teleport? How cute. But whose life do you value most? Yours? Or your Party members?" the fiend taunted.

Sora noticed a pattern with where the queen would often return. 'When she gets near my party members, it's very enclosed. They don't have much room to move. I need to get them to move toward her nest. I don't remember seeing a ceiling near her nest!' excitement rushed through his veins as this thought crossed his mind.

"System, send my party a message telepathically. You can do that through the seal, correct?"

No Sora, unfortunately I can only send them messages telepathically when you set conditions of a seal, and you don't want to mess with their seals too much.

Frustrated, Sora teleported to his party members quickly, leaving the Queen off in the distance. He knew he'd only have seconds, as the Queen moved so quickly, she covered the terrain of this dungeon floor quite quickly.

"I need you to count to 30, then teleport to me and run for your damn lives. Trust me." Sora said sternly.

He took off sprinting toward the Queen, shooting Earth walls up to block any supersonic wind abilities and using his sword to deflect any rogue lightning bolts.

He raced towards the Queens nest, evading each of her blows and as he got near the Queens nest, he started using wind magic of his own.

"System, I can combine spells, correct?"

Yes Sora, you know this.

"Well, here goes nothing," he thought.

"Aerial Boost, Mud wall! Sword dance! Aerial spin! Earth pillar, Aerial Spin!" he said as he disappeared from view, high up in the nest of the Queen.

"Ha, I knew she'd have a nest or perch somewhere up here. Now I just have to wait for her to get close and…" Sora thought.

"Great sword of destruction! Aerial dive!" Sora shouted, spinning at even a speed the Queen couldn't avoid, crashing right into the Queen. This broke her circling wind and killed all of her momentum.

He saw his party members land near him, seconds after the Queen momentarily stopped, and they did not hesitate to run to a safe distance. However, they did not want to turn away and miss the fight.

Clearly stunned and aggravated her momentum stopped, the Queen shouted furiously at Sora, "You have done nothing but stop me you stupid, half-god, half-Uthra useless sack of…"

But her words were just words, and Sora yelled, "Wrath of the Uthra, Unleash Lockheart!" and a bright white light blinded everyone in the room. Sora quickly began spiraling, with rapid speed, and sliced right through the Demon Queen's chest, leaving a hole the size of a meteor, near where her heart would be. He appeared on the other side, finally collapsed on one knee, breathing heavily.

Congratulations. You have defeated the Queen elemental fiend.

Best given to a party member who does not have any elemental ability.

Sora felt himself breathing much more heavily than usual, and suddenly, he felt Brie catch him as he collapsed into her arms. "Sora! No! Don't leave us!"

He felt Brie's tears falling on his face.

He wanted to tell her she was ok, and he managed to think, "System, please create a new temporary seal for the party… let them know of my condition…"

Error. Error. The user is not at a high enough level to fully cast the Lockheart ability. Estimated recuperation time: 8 hours. Seal information sent to the party: Party aware you will need 8 hours to recuperate…

Sora smiled, then fell unconscious in her arms.

"How long has he been out now?" Brie demanded.

"Brie, I know it's a lot, but the temporary seal he created says he will be just fine in about 10 more minutes." Levi said anxiously.

"Chill bestie. Sora will be just fine. I get it. You're into him. It's cool, I would be too if I were you, but not my type." Sasha joked, trying to make her best friend feel better.

"I AM NOT INTO HIM!!!!" Brie shouted.

Levi chuckled, "I think you need to borrow my deception ability before you say that young lady."

"UGH YOU TWO ARE…. ARE-- ugh, thank you both. I'm sorry. This is just really, really stressful." Brie finally admitted.

"I think it's cool that you're into Sora the Great, in my family, just meeting him is a great honor. It's a shame I will have to lie to them and tell them I am traveling with a party in honor of the great Sora in order to help fulfill his destiny," Levi said.

"What's with this, like divine worship or Sora, anyway, not to be rude…" Sasha asked.

"Ah, you see, for generations, my family has overseen the Ancient Uthra text, and it was one of my ancestors who saw the prophecy about a half-god, half-uthra sent to this world to save it… or destroy it. When I was born, like many before me in my family, it's our sworn duty to protect the ancient Uthra text as well as await the arrival of the person mentioned in the prophecy. I believe this to be Sora." Levi explained.

"And how do you know it's Sora?" Brie asked.

"Isn't that obvious? The great Uthra King Joseph Tanguin has made it known to my family he believes Sora to be this being, and Sora is line to be next King of the Council."

After a sudden silence fell over the room, a cough and a "Yeah, it's me. I'm the one the prophecy speaks of… but I can only tell you this because I've made a seal with you and I trust you all with my life."

Brie ran and jumped into Sora's bed, cuddling him and hugging him faster than anyone could speak.

"About time. Glad you're ok. Thanks for helping us out in that fight. The four elemental fiends are no joke in Vampire Lore. I think we work pretty well together as a team." Sasha said while she stood up and exited my bedroom.

"Indeed. Your quick thinking and actions were brave, but I must say, don't overdo it, Sora. You are the one that needs to live, not any of us. I would happily die on your behalf, as long as it ensured a victory for us all." Levi said calmly.

"Levi, wait. Before you go, thank you. Your battle strategy turned out to be the big difference, and I didn't even know the spell I cast. It was something I just–felt, deep within my heart. I knew it wouldn't kill me, but I knew it was a risk as well. I'd never take such a risk unless I knew it meant victory and the safety of my party." Sora said, faintly.

"Rest young Master, tomorrow is a new day. I believe this one would like to spend some time with you. She has been counting down the hours and driving Sasha nuts, it's been fun to watch. Thank you for letting me live here. I have called my family and told them I found a party and I am off adventuring for now! Rest assured, I will not break the seal, and they think I'm with two humans and a vampire. My deception ability really does come in handy, sometimes." Levi said calmly.

"Thanks." Brie and Sora said at the same time.

After Levi exited the room, Brie laid next to Sora and looked him in the eyes. "Thank you… for saving me, for saving all of us. But DON'T YOU EVER WORRY ME LIKE THAT AGAIN!" she whispered, although the last part was a bit louder, as she kissed Sora's forehead.

"I promised you I wouldn't ever risk my life or do anything stupid unless it was to protect you." Sora said with a smile.

"Let us protect you, Sora. Please. Don't ever risk your life like that again!"

'I really am glad I got a second chance at life, and if she even knew half of what that truly meant… I could only imagine her screaming at me for saving too many children.' Sora thought, as he knew better than to argue.

"Listen, if you don't mind, would you please spend the night with me tonight? I could use the company, only if you want too. I'm sick of being alone, and I feel like I owe you at least some of my time." Sora said nervously, his face beat red.

"Let me go change into some pajamas, and I'll be right back!" Brie enthusiastically said and raced out of the room.

"I wonder what's taking her so long, I'm so tired, but system, wasn't I out for 8 hours?"

Yes Sora. You were recuperating and unconscious for eight hours, but you still need regular sleep to restore your body back to its optimal form.

Sora yawned, and Brie finally returned, with no makeup on and a pink pajama top and pink pajama bottoms on, with her hair tied neatly up in a bun.

"You look amazing." Sora said.

"Stop it. Just lay down, let's get some rest. But thank you." Brie said as she laid on my chest.

I felt bad, but I instantly fell asleep. I couldn't help it. I was exhausted.

"He looks so peaceful when he sleeps. I've only known him for two days now… I've always kept men away. Sasha and Levi can't possibly be right about me falling for him… can they?" Brie thought, as she eventually fell asleep on Sora's chest.

Elsewhere, the news of Hell's Gate's demise reached the Demon King Azazel, who smashed a table in his quarters.

"Who?! How?! Who the hell could defeat my elemental fiends?!" Azazel demanded.

"No one's sure. None of our demon scouts could get a look. Apparently, it was a group of masked travelers with that weird Uthra guy." one of his subordinates spoke.

"FIND OUT WHO THEY ARE. WE NEED THEM KILLED. HAS THIS DAMN KING DIED YET? I'M SICK OF GOING TO THESE COUNCIL MEETINGS!!!!!" Azazel shouted.
