Sora rushed downstairs from his master bedroom, after changing into some comfortable clothes, only to find Brie waiting for him by the front door.
"Shit, I'm such an idiot," he thought. "I'm so sorry Brie, you look amazing, let me go change."
"No, no, it's perfectly fine." Brie said. "You look handsome. I just thought I'd show you one of the dresses you let me buy from the first night we cleared that dungeon together."
Brie's soft, light pink makeup accentuated the beauty of her teal eyes, as she stood in comfortable, yet small heels, dressed in a beautiful pink summer dress. Sora never talked to girls on Earth, so naturally he never interacted with any. He tried not to check her out.
"It's ok Sora, I don't mind if you look at me." Brie giggled, trying to ease Sora's nerves. "I wouldn't have worn it if I was worried about you looking me up and down."
The dress wasn't skimpy or anything but showed cleavage. She didn't have massive breasts, but they weren't exactly small either. Sora didn't know what to think, all he knew, was that her boobs were his perfect size.
"Jeez. I've never seen anyone with such a perfect body." Sora thought.
The dress went down to her knees, and despite her petite frame, her muscular legs and hips allowed all her curves to 'pop,' in all the right places.
"You look… incredible." Sora said, unable to hide his joyful expression.
"Well, thank you. Like I said, you look handsome yourself."
"I'll be right back, I'm sorry," Sora said. He sprinted off into his room and started undressing quickly.
"I'm such an idiot, system, what should I wear?"
I'd recommend a navy-blue polo shirt in section three with some black dress shorts to match, found in section four. There are some ankle socks near your tennis shoes, which are located in section 5.
"Thanks System, I can't believe how organized all of my clothes are and how many of them I actually have…"
Sora quickly sprinted out back, picked a variety of fresh flowers from his garden and rushed back to the front door.
"Here, these are for you," he said with a smile.
"Thanks, you didn't have to change." she said with a laugh. "Now we look like we're going on a date!"
"Ha, yeah, you're right. I've never been on one before." Sora said.
"Yeah, ok. I'm sure." Brie burst out into laughter. "Who said this was a date, anyway?"
"I'm serious!" Sora said nervously.
"Yeah, ok. I'm sure." Brie burst out into laughter. "Who said this was a date, anyway?"
Unable to keep his usual calm demeanor, Sora's red face and sweaty forehead proved his sincerity. "Seriously, I wouldn't lie!" he said anxiously.
Clearly, he missed the, "who said this was a date," comment.
"Really? Wow. I can't say the same, but none of them have ever gone well." Brie admitted. "I've never even bothered to kiss someone. None of them interest me and most of them are pervs."
"Well, anyway, since this isn't a date, what did you want to talk about?" he asked while he opened the door for her.
****
They walked around the outside of the mansion in silence and took in the scenery. Sora never realized how serene the area he called home was. He never took time to adjust to this life. He just dove straight into it, head on, leveling up and clearing dungeons, no matter the cost.
"So, how'd the Council meeting go, anyway?"
"Azazel, the Demon King, he's pissed his elemental Four Fiends were killed and I can only guess he knows the same party is after the Monolith. He had pictures of us! We looked awesome standing together in our matching party gear," Sora bragged.
"Interesting, and any news on the Monolith? Did you talk to Dorian?"
"Yes, actually. But can we talk about something else? I don't want to waste this beautiful day with you talking about party nonsense. We'll do that later when Dorian's son, Jubelle, gets here to join our party." Sora said somberly.
"Another vampire? Very nice!" Brie asked with a smile. "Sure, what did you want to talk about?" Brie as she twirled around the garden.
"Well, when's your birthday?" Sora asked.
"July 7th, 7420. How about you?" she said with a smile.
"System, when's my actual birthday on Exteria? I only know my birthday from Earth."
Your birthday on Exteria is March 28th, 7038.
Brie noticed his slight hesitation and thought, "Sora sometimes is so deep and lost in thought, like he's thinking before he speaks? Other times, it just seems like he speaks naturally, like he doesn't have a worry in the world."
"March 28th," Sora smiled. "But I don't want a big celebration or anything. Just something with the group, or maybe you and I, I don't know what I'm saying anymore."
"Relax, you always think too much. Ever since I met you, that's the thing that stands out most. You care about everyone else so much and you always get lost in your own thoughts. It's almost like you can't just relax and live a little."
She pushed him, causing him to trip and fall into the garden.
"Hey! What was that for?" Sora said with a laugh. He grabbed some flowers and threw them at her. "Now I don't have anything to give you for your birthday. Sucks huh?"
Brie started tearing up laughing. "Yeah, ok. Like I wanted anything from you anyway." she said sarcastically.
"Fine, sleep outside then." Sora said, while illuminating the seal.
"Ok, ok, I'm kidding! Relax!" Brie exclaimed.
"Ha, now, which one of us was super gullible again?" Sora said, gesturing for Brie to help him up.
Brie lent him a hand, and as Sora got up, he found himself tightly pressed against Brie's body.
They looked into each other's eyes, both smiled… They both closed their eyes, and Sora leaned in–
"There you two are! We've been looking EVERYWHERE for you." Sasha yelled.
Brie and Sora frantically pushed away from one another. Brie brushed the dirt and flowers from her dress. Sora rubbed his hand through his hair and shook his head.
"This is so fricken awkward," he thought.
"I wonder how long Sasha was watching… knowing her, she's probably been here since we got to the backyard." Brie thought.
"Ah! Sora's biggest weakness reveals itself again. A young woman he likes," Levi joked.
"Seriously, you know where we are, we all have the seal. How long have you two been eavesdropping, anyway?" Sora asked while rolling his eyes.
"Not long, just like, since you two started talking about personal stuff." Sasha laughed.
"I'm going to kick your ass later," Brie whispered to Sasha.
Sasha stuck her tongue out at Brie and said, "Try me."
Sora. You have a visitor at your gate. Jubelle Ashwood and his parents have arrived. Should I let them in?
"Yes system, thank you."
"Well, that certainly didn't start or even end the way I imagined it too. How can I be falling for someone already? Maybe it has something to with my mother? She is the goddess of love, after all..." Sora thought, as his mind drifted with endless possibilities.
