Suddenly, soft footsteps echoed behind him, breaking his train of thought.
Xinyuan turned.
Wenzhi strolled into the suite freshly cleaned and changed, wearing a soft, oversized shirt. His dark hair was still slightly damp, falling messily around his face, while a bright red lollipop rested between his lips.
Xinyuan stared for a second.
"Do you normally keep lollipops in your pockets?" Wenzhi asked, casually swirling the candy from one side of his cheek to the other before crushing it between his teeth.
Xinyuan blinked, momentarily distracted by the sight. "I went to a children's shelter last night on my way to the airport," he explained. "I left a few in my jacket."
Wenzhi sucked thoughtfully on the candy, his eyes crinkling with amusement. "You're cute, Master Shao."
A faint flush dusted Xinyuan's cheeks. He walked toward him, trying to maintain his composure. "Shall we go on our date now?"
Wenzhi nodded easily. "Let's watch a movie first."
