Chapter 15 - The First Recruit

The summit of Sigiriya was no longer a ruin of stone and history.

It was a Garden of Logic, a sanctuary where the laws of the System were being rewritten by a power that Ethan Jae Park had never encountered before. The ancient pools were filled with liquid Ether that glowed with a soft, pulsing blue light, and the trees, once gnarled and weathered, were now crystalline structures that whispered the fundamental equations of the universe.

[LOCATION: THE GARDEN OF LOGIC (STAGE 4)]

[STATUS: SYSTEM-PROOF / ISOLATED.]

Ethan stood at the edge of the palace ruins, his eyes glowing with a fierce, violet light. His Universal Logic Engine (ULE) was screaming in warning.

The 'Density' of the logic here is 400% higher than the surrounding world, Ethan calculated. This isn't just a hiding spot. It's a 'Hard-Coded' reality. The System didn't integrate this place because it 'Can't.' The math here is too complex for the standard Stage 1 and 2 protocols.

"You're scanning me again, Ethan," a voice echoed through the garden.

It wasn't a loud voice, but it carried the weight of a mountain. It sounded like a thousand bells ringing in perfect harmony.

Ethan lowered his hand, the violet glow in his eyes fading. He looked toward the "Mirror Wall," where a young girl was standing. She looked no older than ten, wearing a traditional Sri Lankan dress woven from threads of pure, golden light. She was holding a stylus made of obsidian, and she was "Writing" on the air.

[ENTITY DETECTED: THE ARCHITECT (STAGE 4 / MYTHIC)]

[LEVEL: ???]

"Stop it," the girl said, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Your Universal Logic Engine is a Stage 2 tool. Trying to scan a Stage 4 entity is like trying to measure the depth of the ocean with a ruler. You'll only give yourself a headache."

Ethan took a step forward, his mind already spinning with a thousand questions. "You know my name. You know my talent. Who are you?"

"I am the one the System couldn't delete," the girl said, her feet not touching the ground as she walked toward them on a path of golden fractals. "My name is Maya. And my talent is 'The Blueprint.' I don't just see the world, Ethan. I 'Design' it."

She looked at Krishara and Nethan, her gaze lingering on the boy's shimmering grey barrier.

"An S-Rank Weaver and an S-Rank Shield. A perfect support structure for an SSS-Rank Mind. You've built a good party, Ethan. But you're still playing the System's game. You're running from the 'Eraser' like a mouse in a maze."

"I'm trying to destroy the System," Ethan said, his voice cold and steady.

"Destroying it is easy," Maya said, her expression turning serious. "The System is just a program. If you delete it, the world goes dark. Everyone dies. The 'Real' challenge is to 'Overwrite' it. To become the new Administrator."

She pointed toward the horizon, where the dark shape of the Overseer was still circling the "Null" crater of Kandy.

"The System is currently 'Optimizing' the world. It's deleting everything it deems 'Inefficient.' That includes 90% of humanity. If you want to save them, you need the 'Three Keys of the Creator.'"

"Three Keys?"

"The first key is 'Space' which you already have," Maya explained. "The second key is 'Life', which your wife is beginning to master. And the third key is 'Time.'"

She looked at Nethan.

"The boy's Iron Guard isn't just about defense. It's about 'Stasis.' If he can learn to 'Freeze' the time of the objects he protects, he becomes the Key of Time. Together, the three of you can 'Re-Boot' the world."

Suddenly, the golden fractals around the mountain began to turn blood-red.

[WARNING: THE HUNTER HAS ARRIVED.]

[ENTITY: THE EXECUTOR (STAGE 3 / BOSS)]

[LEVEL: 40]

A massive, black rift tore open in the sky above Sigiriya. Out of the rift stepped a figure in silver armor, carrying a spear made of pure, white "Deletion" energy.

["Anomaly Detected,"] the Executor said, its voice a booming thunderclap.

["Maya. Ethan Jae Park. Your existence is 'Non-Essential.' Initiating Final Deletion."]

Maya looked at Ethan. "I can't fight him, Ethan. My talent is for 'Building,' not 'Combat.' If the Executor breaks my fractals, this sanctuary falls."

Ethan looked at his status window.

[Level: 14]

[INT: 58]

[Available Stat Points: 2]

Level 40 vs Level 14, Ethan calculated. The math is impossible. Unless I 'Overclock' the ULE using the mountain's own logic.

"Maya! Link your Blueprint to my ULE! Now!" Ethan roared.

"If I do that, your brain will melt!"

"I have the Quantum Calculation passive!" Ethan shouted, his eyes turning into blinding white suns. "I can handle the load! Just give me the 'Code' of this mountain!"

Maya didn't hesitate. She reached out and touched Ethan's forehead.

[NEURAL LINK ESTABLISHED.]

[ULE OVERCLOCK: 400%.]

[WARNING: BRAIN TEMPERATURE REACHING CRITICAL LEVELS.]

Ethan's vision exploded into a sea of white code. He didn't see the Executor anymore. He saw the 'Blueprint' of the entire world.

"Nethan! Absolute Layer: Time-Stasis!"

The boy, sensing the urgency, poured every drop of his energy into his barrier. The grey light turned into a shimmering, frozen silver.

The Executor threw its spear.

The spear of deletion struck the barrier and stopped. It didn't explode. It just hung there, frozen in a pocket of "Zero-Time."

"My turn," Ethan whispered, his voice sounding like a god's.

He didn't use a skill. He used the 'Blueprint' of the mountain itself.

"Spatial Redefinition: The Lion's Wrath!"

The entire mountain of Sigiriya didn't just move; it 'Re-Configured.' The stone stairs, the fractals, and the Ether pools all converged into a single, massive "Beam of Logic."

The beam struck the Executor, not with force, but with 'Information.'

It flooded the Boss with so much data that its "Deletion" logic couldn't process it. The silver armor began to crack, and the Executor's form began to "Glitch" out of existence.

[BOSS ENTITY DELETED.]

[Level Up!][Level Up!][Level Up!]

[Current Level: 17]

[Natural Growth: STR +1, AGI +1, VIT +3, INT +6]

[Additional Stat Points Gained: 3]

Ethan collapsed to the ground, his mind finally shutting down from the overload.

But as he fell, he felt Maya's hand on his shoulder.

["Welcome to the Revolution, Ethan Jae Park,"] she whispered.

["The first recruit has been found. Now... let's go find the others."]
