As Ethan led his family deeper into the heart of the "Laboratory," the trees began to change. They were no longer biological organisms. They were "Crystalline Data-Nodes." Their leaves were made of jagged, green glass that hummed with a high-frequency vibration, and the ground beneath their feet was a network of glowing, silver circuits.

Ethan stopped at the edge of a massive, circular clearing. In the center of the clearing sat a structure that looked like a giant, pulsing heart made of obsidian and emerald.

"Ethan, the heart... " It's opening," Krishara whispered. She was standing next to him, her hands glowing with a brilliant, emerald light. Her Adaptive Vital Weave was already "Scanning" the Boss, her eyes wide with terror.
"It's not one creature, Ethan. It's 'Three Identities' fused into a single shell. I can feel three heartbeats, all of them out of sync."
The obsidian heart shattered.
Out of the shards stepped a creature that defied the laws of nature. It was ten meters tall, its body covered in a shifting, iridescent armor of carbon-fiber and bone.
It had three heads:
The Lion (Strength): A massive, golden-eyed head that breathed out clouds of "Deletion-Gas."
The Serpent (Agility): A long, silver-scaled head that moved with a speed that left "After-Images" in the air.
The Owl (Intelligence): A white-feathered head with a single, glowing blue eye that was "Scanning" Ethan's logic.
["Anomaly Detected,"] the Owl-head said, its voice a synthesized chorus.
["Initiating Final Optimization."]
The Chimera moved.
It didn't run. It "Flickered." The Serpent-head lunged at Ethan, its fangs dripping with a violet "Logic-Acid" that could melt through spatial barriers.
"Nethan! Absolute Layer: Temporal Stasis!" Ethan roared.
The boy slammed his hands together. The silver, frozen light erupted, but this time, the Chimera didn't stop. The Serpent-head "Phased" through the stasis, its agility so high that it was moving "Between the Seconds."

"Appachchi! I can't... I can't freeze it!" Nethan cried, his small face twisted in pain.
"It's 'Desynced' from time!" Ethan noted, his Universal Logic Engine (ULE) screaming in warning. It's using its three brains to 'Buffer' the stasis. While one brain is frozen, the other two are calculating the escape.
"Krishara! De-Optimize the Serpent! Now!"
Krishara stepped forward, her hands glowing with a blinding, emerald light.
"Vital De-Optimization: Neural Desync!"
She didn't attack the creature's body. She attacked the "Connection" between its three brains.
The effect was instantaneous. The Chimera's movements became jerky and uncoordinated. The Serpent-head snapped at the Lion-head, and the Owl-head began to screech in confusion.
["Error... Identity Conflict... Re-Syncing..."]
"My turn," Ethan whispered.
He didn't use "Molecular Shear." He used his 4 available stat points to trigger a "Logic Explosion."
He allocated +2 to STR and +2 to AGI.

"Spatial Redefinition: Logic Overload!"
He didn't attack the creature. He "Uploaded" his own 90-point Intelligence into the Chimera's Owl-head.
It was a "Brain-to-Brain" combat. Ethan's ULE flooded the Boss with a billion "Division by Zero" errors, "Spatial Paradoxes," and "Fractal Loops."
The Owl-head's eye turned from blue to a frantic, flashing red.
["I... AM... NOT... DEFINED..."] the Chimera screamed, its three voices merging into a single, high-pitched shriek of static.
The creature's iridescent armor began to crack and melt. The Lion-head vanished into a cloud of grey ash, and the Serpent-head shriveled into a pile of dead wire.

Ethan collapsed to the ground, his mind finally shutting down from the overload.
But as he fell, he saw the obsidian heart in the center of the clearing shatter one last time.
Inside the shards was a small, pulsing green crystal that glowed with the intensity of a thousand suns.

"We got it," Krishara whispered, her hands already glowing with the healing light as she knelt by Ethan. "Ethan, we got the Key."
